Hannah nearly jumped when Torque suddenly appeared at her side. She grew more worried since Yusei was now bleeding from banging her head on the rock. "Hannah we gotta stop her or her blood is going to attract some infected me's without the sexy face and sense of humor. Any ideas?" The Chinchou had one idea, but from the rate Yusei was going, it seemed dangerous. However, Hannah didn't care. She didn't want to lose the Milotic. "STOP!" She screamed.

Without even thinking, Hannah quickly swam over and grabbed onto Yusei's tail. Closing her eyes tightly, she used Thunder Wave on the Milotic, paralyzing her. Since the Chinchou was young and inexperienced, she actually took a little bit of damage herself. It was enough to tire her out as she fell to the ocean floor exhausted. She couldn't help that she was weak.

She just wanted Yusei to stop.

While Zeke, Thomas and Grim started to gather up some of the berries, the Golduck fell deep into thought. Images of his friends and family invaded his mind and he started to wonder whether they'd made it out of this all right. While it was true that their little home here in Hoenn had been well hidden within an underwater cave, considering the large amounts of undead on the prowl these days he wouldn't have found it a surprise if they'd been discovered by now. What are you doing here?! Here he was, parading around with these ... rather strange Pokemon and worrying about his stomach when his family were probably out there right now, struggling and wondering where he was too.

Thomas asked him how he had met Grim as they started to wander back to the others. "Oh, er ... you know, around." He had barely been listening. He had made up his mind. Stopping and placing the leaf full of berries onto the ground, he looked at the Crawdaunt sadly. "Look Thomas, I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to go. I'm worried about my family and ... and I need to go and see if I can find them." He solemnly placed his webbed hand on Thomas's shoulder. "Take care of everyone, OK? Tell them all I say bye ... and good luck."

Without another word, the Golduck crawled on all fours back to the shoreline, slipped into the orange waters and swam out of sight.

Grimace was angry that Torque ignored him and jetted off. He started to swim after him until he saw Zeke swimming away. What is he doing, is he getting something? He was still swimming while he was thinking and ran into a rock. Oww..., he said. The rumbling noise was much louder and could easily be found. He swam a bit forward and swam downward. The sight he was looking at was horrible. Yusei was banging her head very slowly against a rock because she was Paralyzed. And Hannah was clinging to Yusei's tail, glowing a yellowish light. Torque was pacing/swimming back and fourth thinking of what to do. Grim was getting really panicky and had to get back to his brother. GRIMMM, ZEKE IS LEAVING AND NOT COMING BACK! Thomas screamed.

What Zeke had just said to Thomas was...was sad and surprising. How could he drop such giant load on Thomas's shoulders. Why would he do such a thing? Zeke started swimming away and Thomas really wanted to stop him, but restrained. He acted calm for a few minutes and collected all the berries and when he got to the beach, he dropped his two sacks of the berries next to his brothers. When he looked up to see that no one was around he got scared. Did everyone leave me? Now he was panicking. Grim, where is Grim. he started toward the water when he saw a red shell. GRIMMM, ZEKE IS LEAVING AND NOT COMING BACK! Thomas screamed.

Torque jetted down beside Hannah and nudged her gently with his nose. "H-Hannah" he whimpered. Torque laid on the seafloor beside her and whined. "Please be ok... Please" he whispered. Torque glared up at the Milotic. Somehow in the irrational part of Torque's mind this was her fault but the rational part simply kept him close to the Chinchou and protected her from the terror he could sense deep in the ocean...

Mirage Island|Early Evening (25)

Hannah remembered the happiest day of her life; the day she met Wade. The boy was looking lonely at the small beach outside of Castelia City, so she decided to cheer him up. The Chinchou decided to blow some bubbles in his direction, and that method worked. The two became best friends, and they would meet at the same place everyday to play.

But things took a turn for the worse when the infection came. An undead Swampert devoured Wade as the little Chinchou watched the whole scene. She felt so scared in this dark, cruel world. Then she met some friends. The last thing she remembers about Castelia was Kuval. It wasn't really much, but she still remembered him being nice.

His sudden disappearance left a hole in Hannah's heart, though. She was so scared, and so small, she just kept swimming away, hoping the problem would go away.

In the real world, Hannah was still out with her eyes closed. Though she felt Torque nudge her and stay beside her, she couldn't grasp the energy to move or speak. Her lights were dim with her low energy.

Yusei hissed feeling the weak electric jolt race up her spine putting her in a state of paralysis. Unable to continue beating her head and her body capable of no more than a twitch. "WHAT IN THE NAME OF....oh...dear..." Yusei screamed before her voice toned down. From the corner of her eye she saw the weakened Chinchou. The sudden urge to pick up the young child and cradle her washed over her. Before she knew it Yusei had managed to force herself to move and lift Hannah up with her tail to hold her.

"I'm sorry Hannah..." the Tender Pokemon apologized, cradling the little dual type near to her even though the paralysis caused her pain to do so. All she really could do was hold Hannah close to her with her tail and mumble sorrowful apologies. Nothing mattered to her more now than helping Hannah recover even though blood was leaking from a large wound on her head that mattered not to her. Struggling the best she could Yusei forced herself to the surface near the island.

(Permission granted by Radio to lift up Hannah in the previous post. Hopefully its okay and not going too far. If need be it can be changed.)

Grimace nearly fainted. He had to tell everyone. Thomas finally reached Grim and told him everything. Grim swam down to tell the news but Hannah and Yusei were having a "moment" and he didn't want to ruin it with really bad news. So he decided to tell Torque first. Hey, umm, Torque. Grim managed to stutter out without crying, Umm, Zeke left and isn't coming b-b-baaaaaaaaack. Now he started crying. He sank to the bottom towards Hannah and Yusei and noticed that Hannah was knocked out. Yusei, Zeke left, He started to cry again, a-and he isn't c-c-comin-ing baaaack. Grim was really sad and didn't know how to tell Hannah when/if she wakes up. Grim didn't know why he didn't say bye to him.

Thomas rushed over to Grim. He then told him all of what Zeke had said. Grim then floated slowly down to Torque and then told him about Zeke. When he started crying, Thomas thought he was over reacting, but before he could, Grim swam down to the sea floor. He could barely see him but he noticed him telling a Milotic and then he started crying again. Thomas turned to Torque and said, Sorry about my brother, apparently he is very sensitive. He kinda felt embarrassed and sad at the same time. I hope he's okay. Thomas thought.

Torque hissed at the Milotic making a flurry of bubbles come from his mouth. It took the image of his partner slapping his snout and his dad slapping his snout as well to keep him from mauling the hell out of that Milotic. Torque completely ignored Grimace and that Crawdaunt and immediately Giga Impact fueled with rage and Aqua Jet sent him off. He was so... Angry! Giga Impact and anger made him oblivious to all the rocks he was blasting through until it went dark. All dark... Torque surfaced realizing he was in a sea cave. "A natural formation made by crashing waves" he said to himself. Torque grunted as something came up under effectively bashing his tender and slightly bleeding head on the ceiling of the cave. He swam down and gaped. "What the hell could've infected this beast" Torque yelled. It was a Wailord. Its body was very obviously decayed and it was heading either to Mirage Island or Sootopolis Waters... Torque was going to make sure it went to Sootopolis then! He jetted pass its eye capturing its attention before swimming off...

Sootopolis Waters|Evening

The Wailord was leisurely moving after him shaking its head from side to side with its mouth wide open like it wanted to will him into its mouth. Torque clicked his tongue and dropped suddenly and held his breath as the beast passed over thinking he had gone on ahead. He felt so tired but built up his Aqua Jet and sped back to Mirage Island. Torque would say nothing... As far as the team knew he just threw a temper tantrum and swam off to cool down...

Mirage Island|Evening

Torque surfaced and flipped over letting the current carry him to shore. He was so very VERY tired...

Yusei struggled to stay conscious and afloat atop the water with Hannah but the paralysis made it much more difficult than need be. The Tender Pokemon cringed under the weight of the light child in her coils. Looking around with her pained eyes he tried to find a Cheri Berry bush on the Island before her. It was a helpless endeavor though. The trees only grew Enigma Berries.

Hissing and twisting to stay just above the water Yusei groaned. The pain was intense and her head was slowly beginning to pound with the initial strike of what would be a migraine that would last for days. At least if the trickling of blood from her forehead was anything to go by. Looking to the two crab looking pokemon as if asking for their aid. She hadn't wanted to but in her state she was no more fit to take care of Hannah than she assumed Zeke would have.

Torque had completely ignored Grimace again and swam off... AGAIN. Grim was getting tired of that. He looked to see how Hannah and Yusei were doing and, again not so well. Yusei was trying to help Hannah but was too paralyzed. She looked over at Grim and Thomas pleadingly, and Grim took the clue. He swam really fast back to the island and grabed a Cheri Berry at the bottom and swam back to Yusei. He swam to her, and fed her the berry. He didn't know if it helped at all but he hoped so. Torque finally reappeared looking really tired, he just lied down on hi back and let the current take him. Grim must have been hallucinating because he could've sworn he saw undead Torques. Then it hit him, There were undead TORQUES. There was about five or six of them so it was very scary. He and Thomas were the only ones able to fight them at this point so they had to do their best. Grim right away used his Vice Grip attack on one of them, then got afflicted by the Sharpedo's Rough Skin ability. We are doomed, Grim thought.

Grim got the message before Thomas even thought about it because the Milotic looked at them pleadingly and Grim dashed off. The Milotic was slowly cradling the Chinchou and the Sharpedo was missing. Soon though, Grim came back with a Cheri Berry and fed it to Milotic. After a few minutes of so Torque finally came back with a herd of undead Sharpedos. Oh god no. Thomas thought. Grim went straight into battle with a Vice Grip and was then hurt by Rough Skin. Now it was Thomas's turn since no one else other that Grim was in the condition to fight. Thomas used his Swift attack and hit two of the Sharpedo at the same time. He had only ever fought an undead once so he learned how to kill already. He then used another Swift defaeting the one Grim had attacked.

((OoC: Hope it's okay Grim fed Yusei, time for Ty's prediction of undead coming. >:D))

Torque groaned and flipped over only to be nailed by a Sharpedo. He bared his fangs and jumped straight up out of the water. His eyes bore down at the Sharpedos and he roared to capture their attention. "Listen up! I am tired of these monkey fightin' infected in my Monday to Friday ocean" Torque yelled remembering to censor himself for the children. "Take this ya freaks" he yelled before falling with Giga Impact taking out a Sharpedo. Torque groaned as the wound on his head/snout started to throb. He swam in front of Yusei and Hannah and used a wide Protect effectively shielding them. "Don't worry Miss! Ole Torque's got you and lil Hannah covered til you can fight" Torque said before glaring out at the remaining Sharpedo.

Yusei's wishes were quickly answered by Grim who kindly fed her a Cheri Berry. The snap back to motion was nearly instantaneous, with a quick flick of her tail she had Recovered her wounds and set Hannah down behind Torque. "Torque, keep Hannah covered!" the Milotic hissed. Snaking past the Protect a large purplish white ball of energy grew in her angry maw before blasting outwards at one of the Sharpedos.

The Dragon Pulse wasn't quite nearly as strong as Surf or Ice Beam would have done. However it did the trick. Upon striking the Sharpedo with said blast it hit a large rock both exploded upon impact. Without any break Yusei began preparing an Ice Beam. Her body reflexively dodging away from the bites and charges of the undead sharks. Unfortunately no one is perfect and occasionally they would get her, even just a small cut was enough to draw blood and make them become even more rabid.

With another angry blast yet another of the sharks was blown to bits on the rocks. Good news? She just destroyed another zombie. Bad news? She was starting to get tired.

Grimace thought that Thomas and himself make a great team in battles. Grim learned from his last attack against one of the Sharpedo he would use his Bubblebeam attack on the last one. He hit it hard and it hit a rock, not as hard as the one Yusei attacked. It wasn't defeated yet and it came at Grim with an Aqua Jet. Grim couldn't remember his move set for a few seconds and when he remembered to use Protect he got hit. This pain was excruciating and Grim couldn't move it was like he was paralyzed, but he wasn't. He turned his head to see the Sharpedo about to bite down on Grim.

Thomas marveled at Torque and Yusei for their marvelous strength in battle. Yusei had exploded a Sharpedo, awesome, and Torques Giga Impact was spectacular but afterwards they both seemed damaged. It was now Grimace's turn to attack the last one and Grim went right ahead. He used Bubblebeam and pushed the Sharpedo against a rock. It quickly retaliated by using an Aqua Jet. It hit him hard. GRIM! Thomas shouted sadly. It was a horrific sight to see you long lost brother be lost to the undead scum. Thomas had to think quickly before the Undead ate his brother. He used a Swift to knock it off guard, then quickly used Protect. SOMEONE, HELP!!, Thomas shouted.

Torque pushed past the rest needed after Giga Impact and charged at the Sharpedo about to eat Grim with an Aqua Jet of his own. He bit down on the dorsal fin of it and dragged it underwater. Torque spun with his famous Aqua Jet with torque tearing the fin off before obliterating the Undead with Giga Impact. He came back to surface and stared the last Sharpedo down. The primal instinct of all Sharpedo living or dead in a last fight was to slam into the other letting Rough Skin take its toll before finishing the flinching loser off with Aqua Jet. The usurper Sharpedo roared and charged at him. Torque retaliated with his own charge. The two Brutal Pokemon snarled and bit at each other but Torque was smarter being able to bob and weave between snaps and chomping teeth. Torque wedged his snout under the undead Sharpedo's bottom jaw and jerked up flipping it over. "Out of my sight" he roared before obliterating it with Aqua Jet. Torque was now the King of Mirage Island and every Sharpedo in the area knew and had to acknowledge that. For now however, the King was flipped over asleep to rest off all those Giga Impact...

Hannah's eyes were slowly opening. There were several undead Sharpedos everywhere attacking everyone. Torque was beside her, and he looked like he was resting. The only thing Hannah could assume was that he helped out and was just resting. She moved beside the living Sharpedo and practically clung to him, scared for her life, and shaking out of fear.

Yusei gasped for breath, her body marred with bruises and tiny gashes. Luckily none of the damage was serious nor did the Sharpedo that attacked seem to be contagious. Taking a short breather, Yusei found herself beaching on Mirage Island to rest. Her body was at its limit not even using Recover at this point would do much except maybe heal a few wounds before pushing her into unconsciousness.

Looking weakly at the others Yusei sighed. Everyone seemed to be okay even Torque who she had to admit she despised. However his efforts to protect the others had not gone unnoticed to her. Yusei did seem a little less hostile towards the Brutal pokemon but it was hard to tell if that was simply just fatigue setting in or if she was actually beginning to warm up to him.

Th-Th-Thank you Torque and Thomas, Grimace said to them both even thought Torque was knocked out out of exhaustion and Thomas was breathing heavily. Grimace needed a real good rest from all that has happened. He went up to the beach of Mirage Island, ate two Persim Berries and went to sleep. ~~In Grim's dream he was an almighty Crawdaunt, with the strength of a Feraligatr. He was blasting through undead everywhere. In a few days they were all re-dead and everyone praised him. Every third day of the month they would celebrate his victory. It was a good dream, one of the best he had ever had after the epidemic.~~

Thomas was exhausted, as was the Milotic and Torque. Torque was resting on the beach and Yusei was on the brink of unconsciousness. He was taking a breather because this battle wore him out. He noticed that Grimace swam up to the beach, ate berries, then slept. Thomas thought that this was a good idea so he decided to tell everyone about the berries. HEY! Thomas shouted, There are some berries on the beach if you are hungry! Also we can take shelter, a-and I will keep watch, is that fine?

Torque's eyes shot open and he rolled over to Hannah clinging to him. He nudged her gently with his snout. "Don't worry Hannah banana I'll protect you" Torque said. To prove his word was true, Torque put a wide Protect barrier around himself and the Chinchou. He looked over at the Crawdaunt. "No... I'll be keeping watch. You go sleep or something" Torque said. He was King of this Territory for now and kings kept their territory under wraps. Torque grinned stupidly and looked at Hannah. And Hannah was his princess. "Hurr hurr" he thought.

Hannah's trembling stopped as she felt Torque nudge her, saying that he'll keep her safe. Him sticking to his word made her smile a little and give him her equivelant of a hug (which is hard due to her small fins). She felt safe now that she and her friend were in a Protect barrier, though there was something that was upsetting her. The Chinchou's small stomach rumbled as if answering her question of what was upsetting her. She blushed a little at the sound and simply said "Heheh... I guess I'm a little hungry..."

Torque grinned and looked up at a tree on the side of the Island. He jumped up and grasped one of its branches in his teeth dragging the tree down. Torque yelped as the tree caught on a rock and he was slapped down in the water. A few stray Liechi berries fell from the tree onto his head. Torque swam over to Hannah and dropped the berries in front of her. Then he saw the berries on the beach. "Son of a Bagon" he growled. Torque looked back to Hannah like he could sense what she would say and then to Yusei who would say you idiot there were berries right here... Torque grumbled. "Too painfully simply" he thought with a dumb grin on his face.

Hannah couldn't help but giggle at Torque's usual antics. It seems like he tried very hard to make her happy, and whenever she was around him, the Chinchou would forget that there was even an epidemic. She thought it was funny that the shark got a branch of berries and then realized that there was a pile of berries on the beach. She reached out to get one and took a bite out of it. The juices in her mouth tasted so sweet, so she took a few more to eat and the rumbling in her stomach was soon gone. She let out a yawn to show that she was tired. She dozed off at the edge of the beach, still in the water. Hannah dimmed her lights so that she could sleep in peace.
