Like snake Kabuto hisses to express his irritation and 'rattles' the bright jewel-like orbs of his tail, feinting surprise as the bladed leaves of a Magical leaf attack soar over to strike the paralyzed water/ice type head on, sinking into the rotting flesh.
He can smell the approaching Primeape too, all fluffed up fur and adrenaline and mentally marks it down to be killed off as soon as possible before it can take advantage of his master's underhand ways.
The Leafeon however makes him smile inwardly. Her flesh would be seared by his master's breath of fire and then he would be able to grab a few bites while Orochimaru dealt with more succulent prey.
Carefully coiling all three feet of his long body up around the injured Espi, hoping the others would get the hint that he would be better served in a defensive role than trying to use any of his not very effective techniques against the water/ice type.
He also takes a cursory sniff at the egg. He doubted it was Espi's, for obvious reasons, but without a look at its mother he can't tell what the offspring might be.
He doesn't even bother entertaining thoughts of eating it, such a succulent morsel went to his master by rights.
Instead he curls up, appearing apprehensive about the newcomers intentions as he keeps one eye on the hovering Hydreigon.

Only the rising bloodlust in the Hydreigon's gut prevented him from swooping down on the Undead Dewgong and tearing to shreds in an instant; he was naturally territorial and any competition for a meal was something he dealt to with a ruthless efficiency.
Instead, all three heads having trouble seeing in the dark but the scent of fresh meat clear in his nose, he soared through the skies like a skinny black thunderbolt.
His three jaws opening wide he gathers a searing bright ball of fire in his jaws and shoots the compressed ball of flame directly at the vulnerable Grass Type. It bursts apart mid-flight to a burning five pointed star of flame that scorches the night air and temporarily blinds anyone looking directly at it.
Half concealed by the darkness and flying out of range of any physical attack the Brutal pokemon smirks in satisfaction, waiting to see if his attack has hit before he dives down to take a bite.

Rixator shifted and scrambled as he caught the smell of the burning air and saw the flames going to Shiva. No, he wouldn't allow this. The Primeape flew back into a rage and ran. And ran fast. Ran like he never ran before. With a leap, he was sliding before coming to a stop in between the Leafeon and the Fire Blast, loosing his Cross Chop to counter the move, taking the brunt of the blast. The heat scorched at his skin and fur, but he took the pain.

Things seemed to have happen in slow motion after Shiva saw the dragon fly up in the air. She reacted on instinct and turned her head away just as the dragon used a fire attack but her looking away, even for a second, caused her to miss that the fire attack was heading her way until she felt someone step in front of her. Shiva looked up and her eyes widen in shock when she saw Rixator in front of her taken the brunt of the attack. When she caught the scent of burning fur and skin the Leafeon reacted quickly. She used Sunny Day to brighten the area and to temporary blind the dragon before she gathered the sun energy, before it lowered it's brightness, in her mouth and sent a powerful Solarbeam at the dragon hoping that it will hit it and cause it to leave so she could check on Rixator. She then press her tail against Rixator's shoulder as she touch him with her nose and closed her eyes hoping that when she used Synthesis that some of the healing energy will go to him.

(Mine is short I guess so sorry about that)

Espi's eye's widened as the Primeape without hesitaition proctected the Leafeon from an fire blast that came out of the blue hurtling like a falling star at the leafeon. The latter was curling around the former and using synthisis in an attempt to lend some of the healing power.

Then Espi noticed the dewgong although weakend ws still standing, And charging up an Ice beam. Crap. Realizing that now would probably be a good time to try and heal herself, the pink psi-cat quickly used Wish sending a faintly glowing yellowish whiteish blue tinged start cluster up into the sky knowing that in a bit it would heal her enough to get back into the fight. In the meanwhile though she fired off an shadow ball managing not to hit Kabuto(though she grimly noted that they were getting weaker) that nailed the seal pokemon in the head causing it's aim to go off course. The Ice beam that was oridginally targeted at the injured ape pokemon and fellow eeveelution went by the pair hitting one of the tree's behind them.

OOC: I managed to get Espi's picture but still need to get the egg I made back. So for now just use your IMADGINAAAAAAAAAAAATION! *creates rainbow between hands while saying the word*)

The Dragonair radiates a nervous tension through every muscle in his body, simultaneously trying to protect the others and not draw attention to himself. If that Dewgong's Ice Beam had hit him instead of the tree it would have injured him severely.
Kabuto hisses weakly, unsure as to whether or not it would wisest to continue his rather weak attempts to protect Espi and the precious egg, attack the Dewgong directly or investigate the Leafeon and the now scorched hair smelling Primeape.
The choice is taken away from him by the sudden bright dazzling light the Leafeon calls forth from around her that makes it seem for a short while that the sun has completely risen.
In clearer light with the reflected glare hiding his eyes from view Kabuto can't help but think how shabby the torn undead Dewgong looks. For all the formidable foe it has been it has no grace to its lumbering attacks.
The light also picks the shadowed shape of his master against the clouds.
With eyes glowing like precious rubies and drops of dark blood oozing from the mighty crushing jaws the emaciated Hydreigon looks more like an idol of corrupt perfection than ever. Even in mid-air he appears to writhe like a loathsome worm, promising a slow painful death to all he surveys.
Kabuto feels his breath catch in his throat, a stillborn cry of warning at the ray of brilliant brightness that hits the Dark Dragon mid-air.

Orochimaru begins to laugh as he sees the Primeape step forwards to take the blow for the vulnerable Grass-Type. Ah the follies of thinking protecting others would work in this time.
Such bonds were made to be broken.
A hiss of a laugh escaping from all razor toothed heads in a discordant three part harmony the Hydreigon overs mid-air, out of the easy reach of any physical Fighting attacks and laughs at the two.
First he was going to snatch up the pretty Leafeon and tear her apart in mid-air, right where the other could watch but not stop him.
Then, while she was still alive but wounded beyond repair he would give the Primeape full time to see the dying look in her pretty eyes before he killed the fighting type too.
The sudden flare of light illuminates the sky and without the shadows to conceal him an unfamiliar feeling of vulnerability passes over Orochimaru.
It is followed by the sudden dart of a brilliant flash of light that hits him like a body blow and sends his flight spiralling out of control.
His undead nerves dulled to the incredible pain the Dragon vomits up a foul infected blood from his main mouth as his innards are crushed. A dull cracking sound with every beat of his wings shows the Solar Beam has broken more than a few bones.
"Sunny Day yes?" Orochimaru enquires, injured but not yet beaten. "I think you'll find that was rather a double edged sword."
The Hydreigon forms and launches off another star of searing power, the flames drawing extra strength from the light to become even more deadly. He attacks twice, one attack aimed at the Leafeon and the other at the Primape.

Post by Gliscor Mon Oct 22, 2012 2:02 pm

Gliding on leathery, tattered wings, Gliscor had been surveying his empire. A king amongst the weak, fleshy creatures of old, the enormous bat had taken it upon himself to cleanse this world and ensure purity reigned. Regal in his powerful movements, the Harbinger was layered in a fresh coating of blood from his most recent disposal of a lowly bottom-crawler of his beautiful world.

    They were like vermin…

A ferocious hiss escaping his jaws, the skin around his face peeling away to reveal the gory muscle beneath, Gliscor could sense more of their pathetic kind. Pincers clapping together in growing fury, the Harbinger simply couldn’t stand the thought of their useless souls tainting his perfect world. As the offending group fell into his line of vision, Gliscor was ready to obliterate their dismal existence in a world far surpassing their abilities.

“Weak, Pathetic, Lowly…” Gliscor began chanting; his tone bitter and gravelly as he dived into what was already a thriving battle. Surveying the hopeless filth disputing amongst themselves, the bat recognised one of his own kin – an improved dewgong, fighting against the unworthy. “Kill them, comrade…” Convinced the strength of the purest being would overwhelm the psychic-cat, Gliscor’s furious eyes latched onto the hydreigon. Despite his spectacle, he was weak. The Harbinger scoffed, diving to the ground as he bared red fangs at the dragon. But the living’s attention was elsewhere, on a burning monkey. Smiling, a twisted grin slithered across the bat’s disfigured face. He nodded his head in approval.

    “Kill,”

The order could chill the creature to the bone, firm as the Harbinger singled out his own target. This group would tear each other apart eventually and save him the time, but Gliscor wanted a piece of the action. It was his world after all and he expected the credit for its purification. This was down to his hard work…

    The leafeon. She was his.

Lunging towards the canine, Gliscor relished in her delicate screams as his pincers grasped her struggling, screeching body. Slowly crushing her within claws thick with crusted blood, he grinned triumphantly at her terrified face. She would meet his eyes.

“You are weak,” Hissing, one sudden movement crushed bone, flesh and muscle alike as the canine slipped from his grasp in three, gory sections. Her precious face was still sculpted into the definition of terror, her legs giving a final twitch as the blood streamed from her broken body in an endless flow.

    How beautiful…

    How pure…

Cackling, he took off into the airs in a state of superiority. Confident the remaining vermin would dispose of themselves in due time or succumb to the land’s new rule, Gliscor disappeared into the distance with a haunting reminder to their pathetic kind.

    “…Kill...”

Espi could only watch in horrar from the safety of Kabuto's coils as an Gliscor coated in fresh blood emerged from the inky-blackness of the night. The undead let off an ferocious hiss escaping it's jaws, the skin around It's face peeling away to reveal the gory muscle beneath. It's Pincers clapping together in growing fury, the noise echoed ominoulsy as it circled like an famished mandibuzz over an dying pokemon.

    “Weak, Pathetic, Lowly…”
the Gliscor began chanting; the now obviously male voice bitter and gravelly as he dived into the ongoing battle. He then as he was Surveying them it seemed the bat recognised the undead dewgong, fighting against the small group. Espi felt an shiver go up her spine as he hissed “Kill them, comrade…” before the Gliscor’s furious eyes latched onto the hydreigon. The undead scoffed, diving to the ground as he bared compleatly blood covered fangs at the dragon. Then it started... smiling, a twisted grin slithered across the bat’s disfigured face as he nodded his head in what Espi reconized as approval of turning the primeape into a living bonfire.

    “Kill”

The firm order chilled Espi to the bone as the Harbinger singled out one of the pink-psy cat's group. Espi's mind stopped cold as she followed the undead's line of vision. Shiva, he was going to kill Shiva.

Lunging towards the canine, Gliscor seemed to relish her delicate screams as his pincers grasped her struggling, screeching body. Espi could only watch as he started slowly crushing her within claws thick with crusted blood, the sick bastered grinned triumphantly at Shiva's terrified face as the unfourtinate eeveelution met his eyes.

It was then that wish finally activated coming down fromt the heavens and surrounding Espi with a glow that when it stopped, had removed most of the serious injuries. With a quick and quite "Watch the egg please." to Kabuto she slipped out of his coils and took off as fast as she could at the gliscor only to be sent flying into an tree by the dewgongs tail. The resulting impact knocked a few berries down. standing up Espi noticed they were leppa berries and quickly ate them as she felt psychic become useable again. But by then it was too late.

“You are weak,” the bat Hissed as one sudden movement crushed bone, flesh and muscle alike as the canine slipped from his grasp in three, gory sections. Her delicate face was still sculpted into the definition of terror, her legs giving a final twitch as the blood streamed from her broken body in an endless flow.
To stunned to move Espi could only watch as she wispered "No... I failed you... just like Kali.." As the Cackling bat took off into the airs in a state of superiority. The Gliscor disappeared into the distance with a haunting reminder to the remainder of her group.

    “…Kill...”

Espi's eyes started to water as she began to mourn, but then the dewgong started sliding over to Shiva's Corspe as if to eat it. That was the last fucking straw.

Espi's usually warm and inviting eyes harded into glinting cold and unmerciful lavender orbs that along with the ruby on her forehead lit up in an eerie saphire color. The glow flickered as if it was an roaring fire wanting to incinerate all in it's path, and one could have sworn that the glow took on a chandalure like soulfire shape momentairly for a split second. The Dewgoing was surrounded by the same glow as Espi spoke.

The friendly and cheerful voice was replaced with one that was calm but clearly showed the underlying rage beneath as her tone dripped with veneom. "You shouldn't have fucked with us, perhaps then Shiva wouldn't be in three peices over there dead as a rock. As your little friend has fled I guess your the one who's going to pay the fucking price."

The Dewgongs horn was then suddenly snapped off as it and several tree limbs that had broke off from the fighing impailed the Water-Ice duel type. none of the limbs had impailed any vital parts until the once white and now rotted grey belly was ripped open by the broken off horn; causing the innards to be exposed. Then one by one in rapid succession they were ripped out landing on the bloody ground with a 'squish, squish, splat' like the sound of stepping in mud.

Each pull was followed by pained yelps from the undead as it's near immortality became it's downfall. Four of the ribs were broken off and stabbed through the heart in an snowflake like shape. blobs of rotten heart flew everywhere as it was ripped apart from the bones being pulled apart in an gorey explosion of blood. Walking up to the dewgongs head she look it in the eyes. Espi's own lavender ones gazed into the dewgongs coal black ones with an expression saying Fuck you; she spoke coldly "Go and rot in the deepest pits of hell, you cold-hearted bastered." The Dewgongs head exploded into tiny bits of skull, brain, and flesh from the psychic boosted shadow ball splattering Espi's paws with blood.

It was then that Espi went back to normal as her pupils contorted into small white dotes. Looking at her blood stained paws and the brutally murdered corpse infront of her Espi's eyes showed fear, pain, horrer, and shock. Sending out a psychic message to Kabuto and Di "... F-f-f-ollow me." that obviouly betrayed her fear as all three parts of Shiva's corpse was levitated behind her as well as the egg. The Espeon then bolted into an cave as she raced past the crystals growing inside only stopping at an tombstone shaped deep green crystal on an area of dirt. Espi set the egg and corpse on the ground before collapsing in an crying pile of pink fur. She only managed to hiccup out "Wh-what have I done? I-I'm an Monster....."

OOC: When in an apocelispe and two of your aquatinces have been brutally killed infront of you in one day you can't really expect someone to not snap. If I power-played or something let me know and I'll change it ASAP. Also still no egg in the picture, but I'm working on it.

P.S. Sorry about how long the post is.

Arceus, damn it. Everyone was dying. Everyone was dead. No, no, no. This is the APOCALYPSE. What was to expect? Shiva was torn to pieces by a Gliscor who felt entitled to her and soon everyone and everything went haywire. Espi broke down and murdered the Dewgong through the help of various branches and its own horn, soon grabbing the pieces of Shiva's corpse and running with them into a nearby cave. It was so moody. Heck, it was emo. "No more, just... no more."

"... F-f-f-ollow me." Espi's telepathic voice rung through Di's mind. If Di was half crazy, she would have followed. If she was half sane, she wouldn't have. Then again, it was both, wasn't it? It was a case of the glass of water that had half of it filled with water, or alternatively, half was empty. The apocalypse would do that to you.
Di hesitated before waddling towards Espi's direction.

The Dragonite is surprised to find himself in custody of the egg and facing the undead Ice Type alone as the sky is split by the presence of an undead even more magnificent and terrifying than his master.
It dives down from the night sky to tear in to pieces the Leafeon. Nothing remained of the duo but a blood smear and the scent of singing hair.
For a moment he could see his master blink in surprise and inwardly he prays that the undead Hydreigon had not taken offense at the other undead taking away his prey.
He enjoyed far too much to play with his food, Kabuto privately mused. To see it taken away from him the Dark Dragon might get...temperamental.
With a commendable enthusiasm Espi leaps forwards to try and stop it, ferreting out the Leppa berries needed to restore her Psychic powers but far too late to prevent the horrible rending of flesh.
Kabuto winced at her rage as the Gliscor left as swiftly as it had arrived.
Before he had thought no undead could rival his master but now...
He sees Espi turn the anger she could not release against the Gliscor against the Dewgong.
Psychically levitating tree branches become spears to impale its stained white flesh, skewering it like a kebab before a Shadowball turns its head into a mush of brain and bone.
She even managed to undo the damage it had inflicted on her in the first place with Wish.
He would have to plead Orochimaru to eat her last...
Hearing the Psychic Type's voice in his head he obeys as they flee away from the city. Glasses concealing his expression he turns his head a fraction towards his master.
The solarbeam attack has injured him, red blood flowed from his jaws far faster than before and he seems to spasm mid air.
As they leave Kabuto hears his master start to laugh.

It starts somewhere deep in his stomach, little chuckles crawling from his throat like some creature from a crypt. His emaciated and bloodied body contorts as more blood flows from the corners of his mouth and the grotesque dragon throws back his main head and begins to laugh.
The sound, dark, malevolent and soaked in hatred echoes through the night air and makes the hairs at the back of the neck stand up.
It was the sound of a creature that had not only seen the death of the Leafeon but it had fund it amusing.
"Run away little mice." It laughs, turning its sinuous body around to face the other living. There were only two and none very large but the taste of the juicy altaria meat will sate his hunger for long enough. "Fleeing is all you can do...in the presence of a predator"
How clever his servant was, the Brutal pokemon thinks as he lets his six wings fold inwards and he slowly drops to the ground, shielded from sight by the returning midnight darkness.
his long curled tongue flickers out.
Soon,so soon he will have his fill and this dull ache inside him will finally recede. Once again he will be immortal.

    Cave/Midnight/(21)

Calming herslef Espi wipes her eyes and looked around. She appears to be in one of the wider sections of the tunnel by the looks of it, or at least based on how narrow the tunnel got at some points. Then looking back at Shiva's corpse Espi's ears go down again as she looks for a suitable burial place. She knew it wasn't exactly the best idea to waste time buring bodies and this time there wasn't already a pit to fill up with the body already in it. Shaking her head a bit at the memory of Kali and her grusome end by that krookodile. How did she manage to let two friends die in one day?! What if she couldn't protect Kabuto and Di!? What if I can't protect the egg! What if-

"No, not now, bury Shiva first then you can panic Espi. You've already lost your cool so don't lose it again." Espi whispered to herself quietly; putting a stop to her panic attack. Turning back to the task at hand Espi noticed the area around the green crystal she had stopped at was one of a few dirt patches inside the cave. "This will do I suppose." Was all Espi said before using Dig infront of the crystal.

After a while the pit was wide enough for Shiva's body and deep enough for her not to be smelled by hungry undead or infected. Levitating herself out of the pit with psychic; Espi touched down softly in front of the grave. Walking up to Shiva's face Espi gently used an weak psychic to close her eyes and in general try and give her a peacful expression; no one should be buried with a face like that in her book.

Feeling satisfied with the expression she levitated the body sections into the pit. A few adjustments later the body was arranged in the hole to make it look like she was sleeping, well if you look past the fact that the body was dismembered into three seprate parts that were covered in blood. Looking over it she decided that the others might want to pay respects so she should carve the tombstone before putting the dirt back in. The pink psy-cat then began looking for suitable carving tool for an tombstone. Settling on an sharp looking rock, Espi levitated it over as she started carving: R.I.P (and below it); Shiva The Leafeon

(OOC: Sorry for the late post, I had a tiny bit of writers block. still working on getting a new profile pic with the egg in it... oh yeah! *streamers and party hat* 100th post!)

Di was surprised this cave was intact. It was like Chargestone cave, all glowy and shit. The eerie, supernatural-looking blue color was not because of magnetism, but some strange glowing fungus on the ground. Di made a mental note to not eat it and try to poison anything hostile with it. She didn't like fighting; it reminded her of her days in the pit. Damn that Skarmory. She looked back to see if Kabuto was there. She didn't see him. Wherever he was, she was mapping something out in her head. Something was going on, and she was going to get to the bottom of this serpentine scandal.

"This way!" Kabuto calls from up ahead as they plunge into the dull cave entrance and into the rocky cavern beyond.
The walls here were studded with patches of the strange fungus that gave of a weak chemiluminescent glow as it decayed.
The only sounds in the cavern was the faintest sound of running water, a mere trickle as water from the ground above percolated through the stones, eroding them into stalagmites and stalactites, sheets of crystal and pools. A geological wonderland and in general a safe haven from anything but the Woobats and Boldore that normally inhabited these caves. Both were easy enough to scare of unless they chose to attack en-mass.
The Dragonair smiles as he pushes his glasses up his snout. Soon...very soon.
This place was not a single cave but a series of interlinked caverns and tunnels of a labyrinth like complexity. It had taken his master nearly a month to map them all in their entirety and there was only one exit or entrance and that was the one they had just used.
Forcing a look of sincerity and grief onto his face as the Leafeon's corpse was buried (he would be able to dig it up later for a snack when his master was not looking) the blue scaled dragon slowly slithers over to Espi and rests the crooked tip of his tail comfortingly on her shoulder.

The Hydreigon dives from the sky after them, the burst of flame burning the ground in front of the cave and showing the streaks of burnt vegetation it leaves in its wake as the flame lights up the tunnel entrance.
With a vicious snarling the Hydreigon lands in front of the cave.
As skinny as he is it looks like the undead dragon cannot fit his body into the opening in the stone.
He snarls wrathfully as he snakes in his head as far as his long neck will go, his angry red eyes fixing on the living just out of his reach.
"You can't hide forever." He hisses malevolently before snapping his jaws, dripping both red blood and saliva and apparently preparing another Fire Blast attack to drive them further into the caverns.

Espi had just finished up burying Shiva's body a voice hisses malevolently "You can't hide forever." Espi whipped around in time to see the Hydreigon snapping his jaws, dripping both red blood and saliva and apparently preparing another Fire Blast attack to drive her group further into the caverns. Knowing Di probably can't hear him she tells her via telepathy (making sure to relay this to Kabuto afterwards) "Hurry, we gotta go deeper, that creepy snake-dragon basterd is behind us! I think he's preparing a fire blast!"

Picking up the egg the pink psycat raced deeper into the caves only to come to a stop in a huge dirt floored cavern that had crystals everywhere, sharp pointy ones to be exact. Diving down Espi dug a small trench for her group to dodge the fire blast in. Curling up around th eprecious egg Espi said psychically "Over here, This trench should protect us some what from becoming BBQ!"

"Run!" The Dragonair calls out in alarm as the hydreigon's snapping jaws force themselves into the tunnel after him.
Swiftly he slithers through the cavern after the Psychic type as the brutal pokemon's jaws start to glow with the powerful blast of fire the undead dragon is about to release.
Even mid run he manages to shove up his glasses with the crooked tip of his tail as the tunnel as they merge into a wider space filled with sharp stones.
Swiftly the pink cat-like pokemon puts her paws to use digging a trench as the smaller dragon keeps a close eye on the bright golden Altaria, making sure Di makes it o.k. like a good friend would...
His long tail curling and his wing-like fins fluttering in agitation the glasses wearing Dragonair dives into the newly dug trench and presses his blue scaled body into the dirt.
With baited breath he waits and soon after the cave is lit by a powerful tongue of flame darting over head.
It roars through the cavern, melting some of the more frail crystals and reflecting golden in the round lenses of his glasses.
He appears to cower back, the heat of the attack warming the earth around them as the column of fire licks around the cavern walls for a moment then dies with a hiss.
He peeks his head around the edge of the trench and catches the look in his master's slit pupiled red eyes.
Barely perceptably he nods as the larger dragon's draws his lips back from bloodied razor-sharp fangs.
He can almost see the thought in the hydreigon's mind.
If he fails, if he tries to warn them or lets them go without good reason his master will kill and eat him and not necessarily in that order.

The Hydreigon shoves his head into the tunnel as far as it will go and opens his serpentine jaws wide, a glow of heat starting to form in the back of his throat.
With care he watches his prey scatter, making sure they see and respond to his threat before exhaling a long column of flame, the normal five-pointed star of his attack becoming a solid column of flame in the narrow confines of the tunnel. The strange luminous fungus is scorched off the walls, reduced to the tiniest wisp of ash on the oncoming tide of fire. Crystals vibrate for a moment in the heat of the blaze, their edges becoming less defined as the heat slowly melts them down to mere nubs of their former selves resting in a cooling semi-volcanic slag.
Snapping his jaws shut he cuts off the burst of flames, leaving in tatters the night vision of anyone fool enough to be looking directly at it.
The dragon snarls, showing each one of his long curved fangs, the two at the front as menacing as the fangs of a Seviper, and all red-lined from the relentless bleeding of his own jaw.
Playing at frustration he snaps his jaws a few more times before retreating.
"I'll get you eventually." The skinny dragon promises with a hiss, withdrawing from the tunnel and flapping off into the midnight sky.

Espi let out an relived sigh she hadn't been aware she had been holding in at the dragons temporary withdrawel. Standing up she turned to her friends with what she hoped was an determend look on her face. "Well you guys herd him, I suppose this area is a favorable battle ground." she mewed with an confident (or at least she hoped) grin. Continuing after a pause to let her words sink in she added "I'm going to check this place out an bit to see if there's anything useful; as well as setting traps."

Hopping out of the trench only then did she notice how sparkly the walls were due to giant crystals having not earlier due to being almost roasted alive from an dragon.'Shiiiiinnn- No! Bad Espi! Bad, bad, bad!' She quickly thought to herself shutting off any thoughts of playing with the pretty glowies, now was not the time to get distracted. Re composing herself the pink psy-cat marched on. As she moved forward the espeon blinked in slight awe at an large subterrainian lake in the middle of the cave. The water shimmered with an light blue tinge of purity as the undisturbed surface made it seem like an oversized mirror.

Cautiouly sticking her paw in she was suprised at how warm it was. pulling her attetion away from the spring momentarly she noticed some sharp looking crystal growths surrounding it. After an few seconds Espi soon walked away with an bundle of sharp crystals following her. As she was making her way back (Of course after hiding some crystals in notches later if she needed them) Espi's nose twitched at the foul smell of rotting flesh. Wrinkling it in distaste Espi followed it into an tunnel that continued deeper into the depths.

Or it would have if not for the rockslide that sealed it off. Tiptoeing twoard it and unconsiouly levitating the egg closer Espi almost triped over an decapitated furret's head. Holding back a scream Espi let a little "Eep!" escape as she tumbled into something. Looking up Espi almost fainted as she came nose to nose with the half decayed face of an human. With another cry of suprise Espi tried to squirm out of the dead womans arms only to get several of the spikes on her collar caught on the cloths and ribs of the corpse. She stopped strugling immidently for fear that she might break the precious collar. With a sigh Espi took the time to let the surroundings sink in. There was an tent set up as well as an few supplies scattered around.

Looking at her long-dead captor Espi took note of the fact her lower half was crushed by the rock slide. Based on the clothes she was wearing was probably an scientist that had been stranded down here when the epidemic started. Something probably attack causing an rockslide to happen crushing the poor soul from the waist down whom probably died from blood loss. What really caught Espi's attention was an black bag she was carrying. Opening it up Espi hastily caught an old looking book that fell out. Looking the cover she read the name "Lost Evolutions Or Myths?" with what appeared to be a picture of an winged rapidash on the cover along with some other strange creatures in the background. Carefully levitating it down she then started to throw out some of the useless human articals such as clothing and makeup.

Once enough room was made Espi stuck the egg inside along with the book (she made another mental note to read it to the others later.) before zipping it up. Tucking away the left over crystal shards into some of the other pockets Epsi felt happy at her good fourtune. Wispering an quite Thanks to the corpse Espi prayed for her soul to find enternal rest. Once finished Espi said telepathically to Kabuto and Di; "Um, some help please? my collar got stuck and I don't want to risk ruining it because it can't see what I'm doing."

Slithering swiftly after the Espeon with the light from the crystals reflecting off his round lensed glasses Kabuto smiles inwardly as his master's head slides back from the cave enterance and the leaves behind no trace of it but the few drips of corrupted blood that had oozed from its cut jaws.
No doubt the others no believed they were safe, an illusion he would do everything to maintain, but in reality it would not be long before they were trapped in the complex catacombs of tunnels worn in the soft limestone by the steady drip of water over aeons...or in a few minutes by a concentrated Surf attack from his master, as was the case of the creation of the den the two dragons slept in when not hunting.
Orochimaru was smart enough to realize that getting his servant to lead food directly into is gaping jaws was well worth the discomfort of the dripping cold caves.
Using a flick of his wing-shaped fins to let him hover a fraction above the cooling bedrock, the Dragonair swiftly follows beside the Espeon with an equal look of determination on his jaws.
Ah, this despiciable charade was nearing its end. He looked forward to the moment when he could once again be himself.
The glorious shining mirror of the underground lake, a pool of pure and warm water that he often played in when there was no-one to observe his frivolity, was a familiar landmark and zeroed him in on their place in the wide network of tunnels.
If he was correct (and he knew he was) then up ahead would be...
The Espeon's telepathic request for some assistance makes the long serpentine dragon smirk. She has run straight ahead into the cavern of corpses, the rockslide that killed the researcher and her pokemon a harmless accident from one of his masters rampages in another part of the tunnel system. By the time they found them the meat was quite ruined. Finding nothing of use in such meagre belongings as the human had in her tent and having the book she carried having nothing that interested either of them the Hydreigon and Dragonair both had left the site more or less undisturbed through the years.
Now it seemed Espi had managed to get herself stuck (Kabuto squinted in the gloom to confirm the sight) on the mouldering bones of the trapped human.
"Hold still, I'll try to get you out."

With blood-dripping jaws the Hydreigon smirked and withdrew from the narrow cave enterance.
His servant would lead them in the usual route and he would be waiting for them.
Disease had ravaged the Hydreigon's body, leaving it a skinny withered husk with little of the muscle of the healthier members of his species but Orochimaru had never relied on such things due to his uncanny intelligence, a rarity in a species known more for its wholescale destruction than its skill.
His long curled tongue flickers from his mouth, supplementing his failing sight with the rich world of scents as the dragon flies on six silent wings to a different and less obvious enterence to the catacombs, a tunnel that lead straight down and ended in sharp spines that was childs play for him to avoid implaling himself on.
Bright red eyes gleaming like rubies in the darkness Orochimaru slithered on his belly like a serpent towards his prey.

Letting out an sight of relif at being free of the bones Espi said gratfuly as she instinctivly felt her collar for any damage "Thanks for freeing me, I didn't want to risk breaking my collar because I couldn't tell what I was doing." looking down at the black collar with white spikes on her neck she explained in an pained tone "My trainer; her name is Mia; she gave me this collar as an keepsake to remind me of her, and now of the teamates I lost. My team consisted of Me, Frances an male Unfezant, Elisa an Eelcktross, Soulos an Chandalure, Serendipity an Carracosta, and Lancelot an Escavalier."

Lowering her eyes as she started rummaging through the tattered tent for usful items, pulling out an coil of rope that seemed to be strong she coninued "Franices had the suposidly 'brilliant' Idea of going out and looking for food on an nearby route, things went out of the pan and into the fire as soon as we were at least a mile away from the city." Blinking her purple eyes rapidly to hold back the tears Espi shakily set down an TM holder along with some old but still usable super potions and elixers with 2 full heals that were hidden inside an cardboard box buried under all of the junk that was piled up inside the tent.

"We were attacked by an hoard of undead and got seperated in the chaos." Espi let an shiver run down her spine as she continued "I was chased away by an Infected stoutland; I can't run all that fast as you may have noticed" Tears hit the ground echoing with an 'plip, plop' as Espi started crying as she somehow managed to keep going "I triped and thought the last thing I would see was going to be the half missing face of that abomination of nature as it lunged at me,b-b-but out of th-the blue *sniff* S-Soulos took the b-bite ment for me as her incinerated the undead's face killing it with an close-range overheat." The tears started falling more rapidly as she continued "When I asked about the others he said he wasn't sure if they made it or not, H-he told me to run and he protected me all the way back to Opelucid." Espi's face contorted into one of extreme anguish as she choked out "He collapsed as soon as we got back and started to fade. As he slowly faded he told me he loved me; before then I never realized how much he really ment to me as I always thought the feelings I-I had for him were only as good friends. His dying request w-was for me to survive and somehow find happiness."

Wiping away her tears she started slowly recomposing herself as she began stuffing the items she found into her bag along with a few last minute additions that caught her eye. For example some glowing chemicals in durable looking test-tubes with danger stickers on them all along with other various lables (they quickly went in an small pocket that had quite a bit of padding in it), an small bottle labled Tamato(Pepper) Spray (She remembered Mia's mom giving her one in case of 'bad people', Espi clearly recalled the burning sensation in one when she got over curious about it and accidently got some in one of her eyes when she was investigating it.).

With some trouble Espi managed to secure the backpack to her back securly so it wouldn't move too much. As she made her way to the center of the cavern the pink nekomata levitated the coil of rope out and using as little as she could tied rope around groups of loose stalactites (If they weren't loose, well a little taste of an weak psychic would do the trick.) above entrences to the cave they were in. She was taking no chances at all, that Espi knew for certain. Reaching the middle of the cavern Espi cautiously made her way up onto an platform of sorts that was formed by several giant crystals growing togeather. Lying down on the platform for some much needed rest Espi Curled up and closed her eyes; not going to sleep as the others might think but just resting.

Di yawned; it was late at night and was when one should be sleeping... That is, if you wanted to be eaten. It had seemed lately that there were more predators than prey, both living and not. Espi gave a long rant about her former trainer; Di really didn't give a damn. She just made the effort to look like she hadn't been disrespectful all this time. Di wasn't fond of humans anyway because of her abusive former trainer. I really hope that he's rotting in hell right now. To be honest, she would pick the creepoid of a Dragonair as a companion over him... Scratch that, they could both go rot elsewhere, preferably hell.

To Di's relief, Espi's lament finally ended and she ended up doing other things with more human objects. Di sat down and fluffed up her feathers, running her beak through them as some shrapnel had stuck to them. Her feathers were exactly like a duster, something that got dirty quickly. She peered at Kabuto through the corner of her eye, wondering what that creep of a dork was up to now. Being a creep, no doubt.

The crafty Dragonair sees his opportunity and takes it. The look of sorrow on his own face is a perfect mask slipped on at will and diffcult to peirce.
What a story to tell, too many of such stories being common in the cruel times they lived in.
Though he manges to bring a convincing sorrow to his face the serpentine dragon's heart is as cold as ice. Such love and devotion as that the dying Chandelure had shown were alien emotions to him. The one person who had shown any kindness to him had died in the dirt in front of him as soon as they were no longer useful to the organization that had stolen him from an Orphanage. Now all he could rely on is that his master would find him useful.
Still it is to his advantage to appear sympathetic to the Espeon, that is the way to improve the trap he is setting for the two beside him.
"There, there..." He says softly, bending his head low and keeping his wing-like fins pointing downwards.
With care he twines his long tail around the violet-furred shoulders of the Espeon in a serpent's hug.
"We all have tough times but the best we can do for the dead is to remember them fondly. My trainer once said a man is never dead if their name is still spoken."
He gives her a mournful smile.

With a soft hiss making its way from his bloodied jaws the thin Hydreigon slithers through the worn stone tunnels, his six wings folded close against his sides,
His keen sense of smell guides him through the stony maze with precision, his forked tongue tasting the air.
He slithers through caverns and tunnels to the place he called his home.
The rocky cavern floor was dotted with shattered nubs of bone, remains of his meals that had fallen from his jaws, and in dirty silver piles were the flat human made discs of Technical Machines.

Opening her eyes again when she felt something around her shoulders Espi felt the somewhat warm hug of Kabuto "There, there..." He says softly, bending his head low and keeping his wing-like fins pointing downwards.

"We all have tough times but the best we can do for the dead is to remember them fondly. My trainer once said a man is never dead if their name is still spoken."
He said giving her a mournful smile. Espi gave an thankful smile back as she said "Your trainer must have been very wise, I guess an part of Soulos lives on in me." Feeling rejuvinated Espi decided she might as well get Started on the book.

Pulling the book out gently Espi levitated it infront of her and as she put it down noticed there were an few sticky notes sticking out as bookmarks. Opening up to the most recent one Espi found Notes written on the sides of the pages. Looking at the picture she saw what looked like an cross betwen an dragonair and lugia. Turning to her companions she said "Hey, listen to this." Turning back to the book she read the importaint parts. "Dragumbra the Wyvern Pokemon" The name rolled off her tounge oddly, yet it sounded so right. Continuing down she read "It's An Dragon/Dark type" Scanning down she read the pokedex entry "This dragon is nocturnal by nature. It attacks silently under the cover of nightfall, the only sign that it approaches is the glowing orbs on its body against the black sky."

"Evolves from An Dragonair 'leveling up' at night at level 55 holding a dark sphere." Blinking at this information as she mentally digested it Espi noticed an illustration of on perfectly round orb that was as black as the night sky with hints of dark purple in it. There was an note next to the picture that read "The legend must be true, After years of searching I've finally found one! I must get this back to my colleages. Note to self: Hide orb in case of theives." looking at the note for awhile her eyes suddenly widened as she thought back to how one side of the TM holder seemed to be heavier than the other.

Opening up her bag to the pocket she put the TM holder in she extracted it ash she muttered to herself. "It would be an simple matter for an scientist to remove an few slots for TMs to make room for something else." Pressing the open button down with one of her paws she almost dropped it out of shock. In the left half of the holder there was an orb exactly like the on in the picture along with a few other odd looking items. Levitating the orb up while closing the case Espi looked at the swirling colors of the night held inside.

Despite himself Kabuto was intrigued. The Dragumbra image was one he had seen before but he hadn't linked the human TM holder to the deep purple black orb before. The flicker of irritation of not unravelling the mystery himself is secondary to his facination with the little black orb.
He is about the right level, or will be soon with luck. Not enough time has passed for it to be morning and the Dark Orb is right in front of him.
For a moment the deep temptation to spring across the room and snatch the orb from the Espeon nweraly overwhelms him. To become a Dark Dragon just like his master...
"I thought Dragonairs turned into Dragonites?" He asks with a false cynisism as he struggles to keep the naked greed from his face.
That Orb in his hand became power.
Only the fear of his master should he fail his part in the plan prevents him from trying to steal it.
His dark grey eyes hidden behind the gleam of the crystalline lights off his Wise Glasses Kabuto watches the percious tresure as if hypnotized and weighs its worth against his masters bloody teeth.
"Its certainly very pretty...but I don't think this tunnel will lead to a way out. Maybe we should try going this way?"
Using his crooked quaver shaped tail the Dragonair points out a patch of deeper shadows in the stone.

Sprawled contentedly on his bed or forbidden knowledge the Hydreigon yawns and runs his long tongue over his bloodied jaws as he plays with the hollowed out bone of his last meal, a succulent Staraptor that had struggled all the way down his belly.
Smirking at the bird's futile resistance the great Dark Dragon waited eagerly for his next prey to be delivered into his jaws. True, if he wished, Kabuto might betray him and lead the Espeon to safety. The deliciously succulent looking Altaria had no love for his spy.
But he wouldn't, Orochimaru knew, not because his little dragon was in any way trustworthy but because he knew he had more to gain from staying at the Brutal Pokemon's side..
Relishing the hunt, the knowledge of fools rushing to their deaths for him send an almost electric tingle running down the skinny dragon's long spine.

"I thought Dragonairs turned into Dragonites?"
Pausing in admiring the orb Espi shugged saying, "Well there are plenty of pokemon that can evolve into more than one pokemon."
"Its certainly very pretty...but I don't think this tunnel will lead to a way out. Maybe we should try going this way?"
Using his crooked quaver shaped tail the Dragonair points out a patch of deeper shadows in the stone.

Closing her eyes Espi tried to feel the wind on her sensitive fur. After awhile she opend them. "There's some air coming from that direction I think." As she walked in the direction the light pink nekomata paused to levitate the last segment of rope she had out of the bag and tied it around the dark orb several times before tying it Kabuto's neck saying with an kind grin; "Here, you can have the dark orb, it's more useful to you than me. Sorry if the rope itches, but it's going to keep the orb from getting lost."

Di listened to the two prattle back and forth about the rotting, musty, smelly old book's statements. She yawned. "Who's to say it was a non-fiction book? Not everything you read is real." She thought back to her days in the ring. She remembers once seeing a Pokémon that she couldn't identify and nor could her trainer. Then again, it could have been a Ditto transformed into something weird. She remembers once having seen her trainer watching a movie where this guy fought a bunch of magical doors with a Vanillite. It was preposterous. It was some form of human entertainment, though; Di took a moment to wonder how the hell the people behind cinema made up all these insane things. It starts off a bit creative--she ponders this for a bit--then it spirals off into either madness or stupidity, she decides.

Wait... What was--how did Espi even trust Kabuto, that creepoid? Giving him this thing that allegedly turns him into the beast seen in the book... Just, why? Di wanted to land Unova's greatest facepalm right on her face--that is, if she had palms. She had fluffy cloud wings that she somehow flied with. Hell, it was so awkward for biology and physics. It often seemed as if her wings did not have enough surface area strung together in places so flying with clouds for wings was just about the least thought through idea in flight ever. Nevertheless, she still moaned and did a... facewing, apparently. That sounded like a stupid portmanteau, but it works. "Pray tell, why are we even here? It's darker than outside and even though there's that Hydreigon zombie out there, we've never been in this cave before! We're likely to get lost or ambushed in an unfamiliar environment." It actually reminded her a bit of Meteor Falls, except less yellow and less... waterfall-y. Actually, it wasn't yellow or waterfall-y. So why the hell was she thinking of Meteor Falls now? Stupid nostalgia.

The Dragonair curls his serpentine body up in a way vaguely recognizable as pleasure as he peers down at the tiny orb of black now hanging across his chest.
"Thank you." he says softly, his words filled with genuine emotion.
The little black orb intrigues him greatly and not only that but its power to enhance Dark Type moves means it is a treasure his draconian master will no doubt wish to add to his horde. While he can he will study it thoroughly and later on he can 'donate' it to his master to further gain his favour.
Looking up from the strange swirling patterns he can almost see the orbs depths Kabuto has to suppress a sigh of frustration. Whereas the Espeon was helpful and gullible enough for him to consider sparing from his masters belly the Altaria was surly and irritating.
The only thing that prevented him from breaking his cover to chastise the golden bird was entertaining metal images of it screeching in pain as his master tore off its fluffy wings.
"If Espi can feel air then the tunnel must eventually lead to the surface." He tells the golden dragon primly. "The Hydreigon is no doubt waiting outside for us to exit the cave where it will strike. If we can find another way out it will probably still be waiting outside the cave entrance. and we can escape to outside of its territory. As for getting attacked, I would hope that together we could fight off some Woobats."
Slithering along the stony floor the blue-scaled dragon peaks into the darkness, flicking his head fins twice as a sort of signal he can spot nothing in the darkness beyond. Drawing up his breath the orbs of his tail start to illuminate with a pearly blue glow and he sends a Water pulse across the tunnel floor. The expanding water of the water type attack glows faintly as it spreads out like ripples on the surface of water after a pebble has been dropped in it.
As far as he can see the tunnel floor is uneven, small pools of water filling faint depression in the ground while the water itself dripped from stalactites on the ceiling. Not as much as a white furred Woobat lurks among them.

With care the Brutal Pokemon looks over his hoard. TMs and HMs of all kinds have been lovingly arranged in a great heap divided by type. Many of the durable Unova made discs he cannot use nor wants to but the knowledge they contain is his greatest ally. In the times before this great weakness of disease struck him he had used these techniques to make an army, seeking out those who desired power and giving them use of the TM moves...in exchange for their loyalty. Now such power was nothing more than a memory but he still jealously guarded his horde for the value he knew it contained. A smaller pile to the left showed assorted battle items wrestled from those soon to become his prey before they were bloodied, a tangle of Quick Claws, Focus Sashes and other such baubles.
Seldom he felt it worth bothering to drag them along with him, the small boost they gave to his already formidable powers was irrelevant.
Lording over his accumulation of riches the Hydreigon let all six of his eyes, even those blank and empty with no signs of intelligence, slowly slide closed. For a short while he will rest and perhaps some of his great weariness will flee from his bones...
