    Celestic Town | Noon || Shaka ~ 23 -- Tsukiko ~ 4 --(cont. post from Gateon)

    ~*~ Shaka ~*~

After Shaka gave his reply to the Luxio, he continued to listen with one intent ear towards the loud carnage being wreaked by Narron far behind him. Concern bit at him as he truly worried about the bulbasaur--that is, if Narron really would be able to handle that mad wood gecko and any Undead that may come along. No; Shaka corrects himself mentally as he steps over a small log and looks back to that thickly section of the forest that his companion had charged into. He can handle himself. While he removed the thoughts, he heard the newcomer Luxio offer her own name. , who had taken to following him towards the way leading back to town. “Pleased to meet you then, Shaka. I’m Jixley.” The town was distant, but he could just make out the sight of a few buildings through the thick trees. He gives a reply without looking back, feeling all too tantalized by the thought of getting out of this cramped forest and into the open area of the town. “It is good to meet you, Jixley.” They covered quite a bit of ground in just a minute, coming to a break in the foliage and revealing the stony entrance to Celestic.

While the town was as silent as ever--That was just the way he loved it--he still looked around cautiously. There were no Undead down the left nor the right turns of the entrance, and the air was tainted only by the weakly burning remains of the Pokémon Center at the far end of the town. He watched as the distant building finally began to collapse in on itself, billowing its black smoke out and losing the rest of its immolation to the breakdown. “Don’t mind the smoldering Pokémon Center,” he said in an dismissive gesture of his tail, “we had a run-in with an undead fire pokémon earlier.” Shaka looked over the entire community, stopping when he thought he spotted something moving into a bush at the opposing side of the town’s central ridge. He continued his survey of the town, but always gave note about that disturbance. Was there something hiding in it?

    ~*~ Tsukiko ~*~

The Pikachu was panting heavily from her run through the mountainous hillsides east of Celestic. She was running as far and as fast as she could through the rough terrain, praying that her speed would be enough to avoid the attention of any Undead. She knew it was a stupid move, but she was too frail to be stuck out in such open area. It has been a few days since she had lost contact with the Haunter who saved her all the way back at Gateon, and right after he dropped her off at Sinnoh he had suddenly left. She thought over the kind but odd being as she leapt over a long ditch, gasping as the run grates at the last of the breath that she has. Thankfully, she was more than clever enough to outsmart the Undead she had come across after the Haunter left, even though she had begun to sorely miss him after his quick departure. After jumping across the gap, she was joyfully relieved to see that she had managed her way to the tall and dark hilly boundaries of a town--Celestic Town, if what she read in a book before the Epidemic had said (Thank Arceus for her memorization skills). As she ran to the opening to Celestic, she checked around cautiously. Her lungs were on the verge of exploding, but she gave a fearful glance around and over her back, certain that something would jump upon her at that moment. There was nothing, though, and she allowed herself to exhaust her breath and take a slow pace as she went into the town. The Pokémon Center was in cinders, and a good number of the buildings were wrecked by holes and gouges. The grass was covered in a light frost that made her uncomfortably cold--there must be an Ice Pokémon here if there is light snow on the ground. She shivered not only from the cold, but from her imagination conjuring the thought of a horrific ice monster coming to crush her.

She heard carnage, which made the fur on her back stand up in fright as she spotted a forested entrance to Celestic opposing the one she was standing in. There was indistinct shouting that reverberated through the cool air. Then, she saw two people coming through the distant foliage. She wasted no time in hurrying behind a bush lining the small plateau in the middle of the town, hoping that neither of the newcomers had seen her. They did not look infected, but their presence startled her. She watched from the bushes as a black-cloaked Raichu and a Luxio entered the town, trying to learn about them before she took a risk in trusting them. She quivered when the Raichu appeared to have noticed her, but stayed completely still in the darkness of the plant to try and lose his attention. Even if she was ready for an introduction, she was too scared to even come close to them so soon.

    CELESTIC TOWN | NOON | 5

As Jixley walked behind Shaka, she fervently hoped that the one time she saw that Grovyle would be her last time, but she was certain that it wasn't to be so. The pathway was eerily silent save for the sounds of their pawsteps and their breathing; the two didn't speak apart from their introductions. There wasn't much to say just then, it was more important to get somewhere safe.

Jixley paused just before they entered the town, her paws sore and her tail dragging in the dirt. Shaka pointed out a building collapsing in the distance. "Don’t mind the smoldering Pokémon Center. We had a run-in with an undead fire pokémon earlier," he said. Jixley nodded solemnly. She knew the crippling damage that any brainless creature could do, especially one with fire at their disposal.

A thought had crept into her mind, so she decided to ask her companion; "That Bulbasaur, Narron, he was traveling with you, right? Is he going to be able to find us?" She didn't know the Bulbasaur and was the slightest bit afraid of him, but she did hope that he was okay. That Grovyle seemed pretty dangerous, even though it didn't smell or look sick.

Shaka seemed to notice something in a nearby bush. Jixley stayed quiet, but angled her ears towards it. She thought that she heard something, but wasn't entirely sure. She decided to wait until the Raichu acted. He seemed to know what he was doing.

The bright flaring light of evolution forced Sade to cover his eyes with his hooked fingers and futilely try to peer from between them as the evolution light imprints large patches of blackness of his retinas.
He forces his fingers shut and everything turns green but he is no longer being blinded as if by a Flash attack.
Internally he duely assigns the blame to himself.
Not only has he pressed his opponent enough to cause them to evolve but he has foolishly gotten too close to his target to take full advantage.
Blinking the spots from his slit-pupilled eyes the Grovyle recovers at about the same time the bulbasaur stops evolving.
Ivysaur, Sade thinks to himself and dredges up his data on the Grass Type.
    Registed number #002, Weight; 28.7lbs, height;3'03"
    Grass/Poison type.
Gains strength from exposure to sunlight.
Growth of the bud on its back has lead to a thickening in the hind legs to support the added weight and prevent it from being able to straighten them.
Strategy; Avoid bud, attack from behind while target is still stunned.
His data is nearly complete but Sade wishes to finish things up before he retreats to plan his next move.
    Razor Leaf.
    Tackle.
    Vine Whip.
What was this creature's fourth strength?
For all the genius in his disguise Sade's golden eyes lack the true fire of the hatred of the undead.
All he feels is a mild curiousity as his leaves glow white once again and he prepares to strike down the still confused ivysaur.

Narron prepares to attack the foul undead Grovyle, trying to make a choice of attack. Leech Seed, probably won't do much, but it's worth a try. A good distraction! Several seeds shot from Narron's back, straight for the Grovyle. Perfect! As the Grovyle glanced towards the Seeds, Narron sent several vines straight at the infected thing!

The vines flew straight from the Ivysaur's back, some missed, some caught, including one getting around a necklace. A necklace?! Why was an infected wearing a necklace? An Everstone one at that? Something didn't seem to add up, though Narron didn't think too much of it.

"Damn you, you killed him, and now you'll DIE!"

Narron shouted the last word, as if it might deal damage to the Grovyle, though he knew that words meant nothing to the foul, rotting minds of an infected.

    Celestic Town | Noon || Shaka ~ 24 -- Tsukiko ~ 5

    ~*~ Shaka ~*~

His browsing over the town’s state showed him that he and Jixley were the only ones out at the moment, which relieved him a little. There should have been at least a few Undead coming to the sound of the earlier carnage, but it would seem that they were taking their time or they were few in number. He gave another sharp look to the bush at the other side of the town, still thinking about the being hiding within it. If it had any brain, it may be wiser for it to come out soon; the silence was beginning to bother him some. But as he kept watch over it, he did find some short time to think things over. The momentary shortage in Undead, at least, could give him and the Luxio time to find shelter, while Narron kills that Grovyle. Not only that, but it could give him time to make sure that this Luxio was actually trustworthy. They needed to find shelter as well as find a source of water.

As if she had known what Shaka was thinking, Jixley speaks her own concern about his Bulbasaur companion. “That Bulbasaur, Narron, he was traveling with you, right? Is he going to be able to find us?” The words troubled the mild raichu, and he shifted on his feet while he still kept a careful ear out for signs of the Undead. “It should not be too hard for him to find his way back, Jixley;” he says, adding in a grim tone as he continues, “at least the squirtle’s body can serve as a landmark to guide him back.” He hated to think up such a thing, but the body at least had some use as long as no Undead scavenged it. ”And,” Shaka continues, ”if Narron does not get back within a short while, I shall go back for him.” The prospect of returning into that place bothered him, but if he has to go back to help Narron then he certainly shall.

Shaka turns away from Jixley, walking to the edge of the town’s steeply sloped center field. He calls out as quietly as he can to the hidden stranger at the other side of the town. “Now, who’s over there? I recommend you come out of hiding.” He gives a snarl, his cheeks crackling as his strong eyes stare with contempt to the silhouette in the bush. It seemed to have a yellow tint to it, but he could not tell exactly. It was enough, though, to pique his interest. His curiosity would be answered just as his suspicion would.

    ~*~ Tsukiko ~*~

The Pikachu continued to observe the two strangers converse, growing more interested in their behavior. She heard them talk about a friend of theirs, a Bulbasaur named Narron. It was all too hard to discern everything from the sheer distance, but she managed to get enough to understand their conversation. The Luxio, who the Raichu entitled as Jixley, sounded concerned about Narron, while the Raichu said he would risk his life to help Narron. Their manners comforted her, discerning their words as honest and kind. At least they showed respect for one another, but would they trust her just as well? After finishing their conversation, the Raichu stepped to the edge of the opposing town ridge and called out to her. Even from so far away, his snarl and crackling cheeks scared her, making her take in a long and quieted gasp. She was watching through a small opening in the leafy coverage but backed away deeper into the bush at his show of hostility. His stare was directed upon her, as if he could clearly see her within the thick green cover. The idea made her shiver nervously. She was going to respond to him, yes, but she was so terrified. A number of horrible thoughts skimmed over the risks, all leading to her death at trusting the strangers.

Before she could even attempt to reply to him, she had to calm her fears. She places her right hand over her heart, closing her eyes and attempting to rationalize. Just go out; she calmly told herself it’s fine. You have to make the first step.

A sense of calm came to her, and although her heart was still pulsing strongly from her rushing into the town she otherwise felt quite fine. He’s right; it was a sheer blessing that I’ve even survived for so long by myself. There was a hollowness in her stomach, the onset of hunger. Maybe they even had food? If she showed her worth, they may share whatever food they have with her. She made her decision quicker than she would have liked, clenching her fists and opening her eyes with determination. She could not give herself another chance to wander over her troubles.

Stepping out of the bush made her feel unprotected and vulnerable, and the fear showed undeniably in her posture, her tail, her eyes, everything--But she courageously redoubled herself. She ran around the side of the town, passing by the Pokémon Center in the process, giving only a fleeting thought to it. What sort of monster did that? Those buildings were meant to withstand small fires, so it must have been something pretty bad. These people must have fought an Undead fire pokémon and had to retreat.

It took her a while, but she made it to the other side. She slowed to a stop a few feet before the Raichu, sighing heavily from her run. She felt sore from all of the running she had felt, and now that she was so close to these strangers she felt cautious and fearful of them. Most of her attention was focused upon the Raichu, who seemed to be the more hostile of the two. Just looking at him made her want to punch herself for not fleeing when she had the chance. What if he was going to hurt her? Maybe eat her? Cannibalism was certainly not out of the question in these times.

She was disgusted at how terrible her introduction sounded, with her exhausted breath and fearful voice only making it even more pathetic and helpless. H-hello....You, you two are not going to hurt me....are you?” She steps back nervously, fidgeting nervously with her fingers as she waited for their responses.

Forest Outside Celestic Town | Noon | (8)

Sade turns to flee but the vines are like pythons wrapped tight around him, holding his leafy arms tight to his sides. He can't move them to cut or crush the vines!
The Grovyle opens his mouth in a silent shriek as one catches on the length of chain around his neck.
The metal links are biting into his scarlet throat and for a few desperate seconds Sade abandons reason and thrashes wildly against his bonds in the desperate hope they would break.
The sturdy rope-like vines hold tight.
This thing had gotten smarter it seemed, restraining him and keeping him helpless instead of trying to hurt him directly.
"Damn you, you killed him, and now you'll DIE!"
It was still angry and the Grovyle knew to be wary of that kind of anger.
Sade bites at the vines nearest his face, plunging his bony beak down on the lengths of plant fiber but, lacking the strength of a full attack, they merely bend but do not break.
Sade keeps his yellow eyes facing the bulbasaur as his clawed feet scratch the ground to try and keep him from being lifted off the ground.
This was no time for pointless bravery, he held no grudge against this Ivysaur and no he had sufficient data he would run back into the forest.
Yet even his entrapment did not distract the Grovyle from the part he had to play.
He snarled with blood smeared across his face and clawed at the air with his hooked claws.
He rolled his golden eyes and writhed in the grip of the vines seemingly randomly all the while looking for the weaknesses in the grip that held him.
The loop of chain around his throat was hooked in one of the vines, as e twisted to try and break free it pressed against his windpipe, choking him.
The Grovyle spluttered weakly, gasping for breath but recognizing a chance for escape he leant forward into the metal band.
His golden eyes bulged out of his head as the cruel chain bit into his red throat deeper and deeper and deeper until with a last small metallic scraping sound the old metal chain links twisted and snapped.
The effort released Sade fell forwards without the resistance of the necklace to hold him back.
He unbalanced and fell, managing to slash away the binding vines with his Leaf Blade as the tingling sensation returned with a vengeance, filling him from top to bottom. His vision failing him Sade swiftly flees from the clearing and the Ivysaur that was no longer such a good target.
His clawed foot lands on the broken necklace he once wore and crushed it into the mud.

As Sade stumbles blindly through the forest his vision starts to fail him. Despite the choking necklace being gone he still gasps frantically for breath. Moving at a run through the dense undergrowth and not minding where thorns cut at his legs and branches whip his face his vision begins to blur and shift as the strange feeling fills his bones with molten metal.
He reaches the still water-dripping clearing and gratefully subsides to his knees in the cool water.
The Grovyle can't climb a tree as he wants to, his limbs feel like they had been anesthetized.
His mouth opens but not a sound comes out as Sade feels his entire body convulse. Light flares from his form as his cells relentlessly grow and shift.
The few vines that remained clinging to him are torn away by his growing form. His legs become sturdier and thicker to support his new weight, his arms elongate and the three bunches of leaves melt into two long protrusion like an elongated scale. His head changes in shape, becoming blunter and more triangular as the redness of his scales shrinks to a small patch on his throat and around his eyes.
Along his back the flesh bubbles and wart-like protrusions burst through to break the skin as bulbous yellow seed pods.
His double leaves tail withers, to become a many leaved larger one like the fronds of some form of palm.
The leaf on his head disappears entirely.
As the light fades and sensation returns to his limbs Sade blinks his larger predators eyes and runs his reptilian tongue over his dry lips.
The patches of mud that had been such a good disguise as a Grovyle had dried up and fallen off during his evolution and a few puddles of water serve well to clean the rest of the muck off and restore his natural scent, a deeper, earthier smell than when he had been a Grovyle.
Moving through the treetops with a far greater agility than he had possessed before the Sceptile retrieves his white labcoat.
It had been designed for a human and was tight on his new, larger form but with a meticulous care that defined him Sade carefully pulled on the garment without tearing the fabric and practiced his innocent smile.
Time for the experiment to truly begin.
Knowing it is only a matter of time before the Ivysaur follows Sade heads off in the direction he knew the other's had taken.
    Towards Celestic Town.

As the infected Grovyle broke free of Narron's vines, slashing several of them, Narron fell back in pain. The vines quickly retracted back into his bulb. The pain quickly subsided , however, and Narron had a momentary flashback. He was fighting an infected Gardevoir. She was talking about tucking him into bed, and kept calling him son. He remembered their odd conversation, though for a mental infected, it was probably a normal conversation.

"Son, it is bed time! You must go to bed!"

A crazy laugh echoed from the Gardevoir, as she used her Psychic and slammed him into a tree.

"Mummy, is it his bedtime too?"

    "Yes, Azrael! It is."

Narron used his Razor Leaf, and three of the blades embedded themselves in the Gardevoir's head. One had gone directly into the Gardevoir's eye, and so had half of the eye on top, and half n bottom, while still cut into the skin around the eye of the Gardevoir. Another on the other side of her head, above her eye. The third was lodged at the very top of the psychic Pokémon's head.

Narron sent vines toward the psychotic Pokémon, though they barely made it halfway there by the time she had used her Psychic and dislodged the leaf in the top centre of her head, and sent it back. She made it slice through the first of Narron's three vines. She then made it fly upwards and slice through the second, and down to the left, and cutting through the third of the vines. The vines retracted rapidly, and Narron almost fainted from the pain.

Knowing he had no chance here, he left. He ran through the forest, and didn't stop till he was almost unconscious from lack of breath.

Narron stopped remembering, and bounded after the infected Grovyle, though after being unable to find it, he gave up. His anger had resided slightly, now that he had injured the Grovyle. The infected surely couldn't get far, it had been choked, and could possibly even be unconscious.

That set Narron's mind at ease. He had injured the Grovyle and he would finish it off soon. Damn infected. Remembering the berries that Shaka had before they had entered the forest, he set back for Celestic Town, hoping to find Shaka and the berries, have something to eat, maybe even a sleep, and then hunt the infected Grovyle. Of course, before doing this, he picked up the Everstone necklace which had fallen from the Infected's neck. Perhaps he could burn it with the Grovyle's body?

((OoC:Setting up a new character, an infected floater who Narron has seen before. Will be RP'ing/floating it in Sinnoh as soon as my Charmander-Carmen, has reached 25 posts and I get a ticket for her.))

    Celestic Town | Early Evening || Shaka ~ 25 -- Tsukiko ~ 6

    ~*~ Shaka ~*~

He stared at the Pikachu for quite a long moment after she made it to him, scrutinizing her with an instinctive caution. He had expected an Undead or vicious Living Pokémon, but he was appalled to discover that it was just a scared female Pikachu--possibly uninfected, as he could tell by her scent and appearance. In fact, he was even surprised that she had even taken a further step than him; she had come all the way from the other side of the town, just to meet up with him! Her voice was riddled with hesitation as she looked up to Shaka nervously. She gave more attention to him than Jixley, apparently intimidated by him. He had sat up as the Pikachu had neared him, and he was surprised at how tall she was for her evolutionary stage.

The prevailing silence of the town only reinforced the awkward introduction and sudden appearance of the Pikachu. “H-hello....You, you two are not going to hurt me....are you?” That was all she had to say, before backing up and beginning to anxiously fidget. Despite his caution, he did not let it snatch up his thoughts any longer. He formed a simple answer to her question. “No, we will not. What brings you to Celestic?”

Shaka wanted to come across more harshly than he did, but he did not want to scare her off. He just was not in the mood to see anyone flip out right now after the loss of the squirtle child and Ponamu.

    ~*~ Tsukiko ~*~

The Raichu’s reply was blunt and to the point, not wasting in its time and easy to understand. She stopped her fidgeting, and took in every last word with earnest dedication. This was no time for her to fall to her fears, and the Raichu seemed to stab at her with those scrutinizing razor eyes. He just stood there quietly as she tried to think. She broke his gaze and looked down at the snow, considering her reply as quickly as she could before returning eye contact. “Th-thank you. I....I was-s simply looking for shelter.” She withheld her desire to also add in the word food, not wanting to sound like a beggar to the Luxio and Raichu. A pang of hunger bit at her stomach, but she ignored it as she continued to look up to the Raichu. She was too humble to ask such a thing of others so quickly.

A noise could be caught just vaguely by her sensitive mouse ears, coming from the direction of this town side’s exit. It comes from the forest, a quiet scuffling that could just be caught as a murmur of noise. With it came the onset of a chilly Sinnoh breeze, which caused the forest to shudder. The noise was not drowned out by the wind, being just vague enough to get her attention. She kept trading glances between the forested exit to her far left and the Raichu sitting in front of her, nervous that something may come from the foliage and attack them. Moreover, would any of them protect her if she were to be attacked her?

"It should not be too hard for him to find his way back, Jixley. At least the Squirtle’s body can serve as a landmark to guide him back," said the Raichu, his calmness having a relaxing effect on her as well. He was one of the only level-headed living Pokemon she had had the pleasure of meeting during the Epidemic, and she caught herself getting a little bit attached -- not in any romantic sort of way, but a friendly, this-guy-is-cool and we-are-both-electric-types kind of way. But she knew that getting attached was dangerous. The Bulbasaur had gotten attached to the Squirtle, it seemed, and that went badly...

A second passed, with Shaka calling out to the creature in the bushes. A quite female-looking Pikachu came to his call, seeming nervous. Another electric type. They'd be screwed if they ran into a Ground-type Undead, but it was best not to worry about that right now. Every life was a hope.

"H-hello....You, you two are not going to hurt me....are you?" the yellow Pokemon spoke, her voice breaking slightly with her nerves. Jixley allowed Shaka to reply to her first, since the Pikachu seemed to be a bit off-put by him. After he spoke, the feline Pokemon shook her head, deciding not to speak. He had said no, so it wasn't as if she really needed to say no again.

Shaka asked her what she was doing around here, and at the Pikachu's reply, Jixley nodded. Of course, shelter. Everyone needed shelter, even she and Shaka, and probably that Bulbasaur. That crazy Grovyle might even desire shelter now and then... that Squirtle probably wanted shelter at one point. The poor Pokemon probably was hungry as well.
Without waiting for Shaka to take the lead, Jixley turned towards the new electric Pokemon and mewed, "You got a name?" Best to start there.

    Celestic Town Gates | Noon | (9)

    Sade...crept.
His new body was bulkier and more powerful, branches he tried to grab would bend under his weight or snap accidentally from the pressure of his fingers.
He remembered the same sensations when he had first evolved too, that his new Grovyle body was too large and too clumsy to be as much use as his slimmer Treecko one but that impulse had swiftly passed.
He just needed some more practise; if he looked ill at ease with his form it would draw suspicion.
Branches splintered under his clawed feet but he didn't feel any pain from it due to the thick soles of his clawed feet.
Instinctively he drops into the posture that seems most natural for him; bent low to the ground like his long neck twisting as he looks from side to side. The leaves on his forearms were even sharper than they had been as a grovyle. The perfect tools for long precise slicing.
Sade can't wait to try them out but no, he must be delicate this time.
The Sceptile leaps straight up into the air and catches a branch with hooked fingers, turning the momentumn into a sommersault.
The sunlight gleams off his jade-colored scales as he swings into the upper canopy and feels the warmth on his skin.
Ah yes, that was good for a grass-type.
From up high the forest paths are completely obvious lines trailing through the trees and, focusing his golden eyes, Sade follows them along their length.
Almost absentmindedly he plucks a Leppa berry from the trees spreading branches and eats it.
He can feel the strength depleted in the battle with the now ivysaur starting to return.
Just in case he tucks another berry into the pockets of his labcoat for later and cracks his neck as he focuses.
    Show time.
The muscles of his face contort for a moment and his entire body goes limp before he straightens up.
No longer does a hint of malevolent intention lurk about him, the Sceptile has completely altered his body language from his usual focused stalk to a confident upright bearing.
His yellow eyes hold a hint of dignity and respect and his facial muscles twitch in an easy likable smile.
He holds his hands up jokingly and tilts his head to the side.
A perfect disguise, honed by much practise.

The Sceptile leaps down, by his calculation the edge of the forest isn't far away, and walks the rest of the way along the rough dirt path.
When he reaches the edge of the tree-line he blinks rapidly, giving a realistic impression of one who had been walking through the shady forest for a while.
His labcoat is smooth and clean and not a trace of the scent of the blood or mud he had used for his disguise remains.
With a hopeful slant to his gait he walks into the town, keeping his golden eyes on the nearby buildings as any good survivor does and making sure his clawed hands don't look too eager for battle.
It takes a few minutes of apparently random wandering for him to close in on his target without looking like he is actually closing in on a target.
    Raichu, Pikachu, Luxio.
What he would give to be part ground-type, he could decimate them in seconds.
Instead the Sceptile sets his face in a pleasant grin and holds up his bare palms to show he means no harm.
"Hello~!" He calls, keeping his voice low enough to avoid attracting whatever undead still lurk here.

Forest Outside Celestic Town | Early Evening | (29)

Narron bounded through the forest, anger only slightly satisfied. He had hated the Squirtle, but while he had only just met it, he had taken a liking to it. Not to it's cowardice, but to the Squirtle. It's smarts. It's child-like nature. A child can't protect them self, so it wasn't fair. He understood that the Squirtle was not a child, but it was hard to see it as an adult.

Arriving out the forest, the necklace in his mouth, Narron looked around for Shaka and the Luxio, and quickly saw them, along with another Pokémon-a Pikachu! How many more people could Narron meet and lose in a day. He met a group of friends, who all quickly dissapeared in an undead attack, soon met Ponamu, who was killed by an extremely powerful undead, then Zoke was killed by the infected Grovyle! Now the Pikachu, Luxio, and Shaka would probably die. Narron couldn't help but think it was his fault.

What of he was cursed? What if all of these deaths were the cause of some bad luck, or karma? What if it was all his fault. Before Narron could continue his thoughts, Narron saw another Pokémon approach. It wore a white labcoat, which looked slightly too small for it. Narron saw the colour of it's skin,-green-and quickly attacked. The Grovyle! He ran up preparing to Tackle it, however moments before he was able to, he tripped up on a root which was sticking out of the ground.

Looking up, and preparing to attack again, Narron noticed some more details, now that he was closer. While it was a green grass type, of the same evolutionary family as the Grovyle, it was instead a Sceptile. The evolved form. It also sis not appear to have the mud which was on the infected, nor the red eyes of an infected. The labcoat should have tipped him off, what infected just go around killing, then putting on labcoats and begin to looks as if they are socializing.

Narron looked down, feeling ashamed, foolish, stupid. Like a failure. He dropped the necklace from his mouth, and turned from everyone. Walking away slowly, he aimed for the forest. He deserved to not know anyone, to be by himself. It would protect others, and he would be able to kill more infected by himself than he might with others tagging along. He wouldn't have to try to protect them, just himself.

    Celestic Town | Early Evening || Shaka ~ 26 -- Tsukiko ~ 7

    ~*~ Shaka ~*~

After he had questioned the Pikachu, Jixley had added in the question of what her name was. The answer intrigued him, finding the Pikachu’s name peculiar. Tsukiko. He did know what language it was, but it sounded like it fit her well.

As he thinks, a noise catches his attention. He glares over his shoulder, staring at the gigantic lizard that had appeared in the town. He inadvertently steps in front of Tsukiko, staring back at the reptilian newcomer. The sheer size of its body, the form that conceals so much power, the cutting blades--everything about it screams to him that this was a predator Pokémon. It looked so similar to the wood gecko that attacked them back in the woods....But that beast was clotted with mud and had reddened eyes--this newcomer has none of those features. Nonetheless, the memory rattles Shaka into a state of distrust, not knowing whether the lizard is Undead or Living, Friend or Foe. The stranger raises up their claws in a gesture of peace and smiles amicably. “Hello~!” The stranger quietly says.

“Hello...” Shaka responds awkwardly, turning his head to the side as he continued to stare at the newcomer cautiously. He was in no way sure how to respond to a five-and-a-half feet tall grass lizard, but he gives a few words anyways. “Well,” Shaka supposes with a grumble, “what brings you to Celestic, stranger?” What was this thing anyways? He has never even seen its species before!

As he considers the reptile, Shaka notices another new Pokémon step out of the forest’s undergrowth. He did not recognize the Ivysaur at first, until he saw the patch of blue upon the bulb on its back and realized it was Narron. His posture straightens up with curiousity, and a small smirk shows on his features when he spots no injuries upon his friend. He makes an advancement towards the Ivysaur to greet him, when he seems to recognize the wood gecko and charges towards him. Shaka watches with interest, his own suspicions being raised regarding the target. Why would Narron charge at him like that? But just as soon as he reaches his target does Narron stop short, tripping on a stray tree root and dropping to a halt. His mood glooms over, and Shaka becomes troubled when the Ivysaur turns around to return to the forest. “Wait; Narron, where are you going?”

Shaka quickly takes to pursuing Narron on all fours, intercepting him at the border of the forest. He walked beside the Ivysaur, concern for his comrade’s sudden gloom. “What’s wrong, Narron?” He said with serious concern, lowering his voice so that the reptilian newcomer could not hear their conversation. “It’s obvious something is bothering you.”

    ~*~ Tsukiko ~*~

“You got a name?” Tsukiko kept her gaze upon the Luxio momentarily, before deciding that it would be better to offer her name to the strangers if she was going to earn their trust. She repressed her nervous stutter as best as she could to speak to Jixley. “Y-yes. My name is Tsukiko.” By the posture of the Luxio, she could understand that cat meant no harm--at least, not initially. She still kept her nervousness, still not entirely sure what to make of Jixley and the Raichu.

The Raichu takes notice of something moving into the town from the forest, and Tsukiko turns to look with a similar curiosity. What greeted her eyes was a huge lizard--a Sceptile in a white lab coat. The sheer size of the wood gecko terrified her, and she gave an audible squeak of fear. The black-cloaked mouse steps (on all fours, she passively took note) in front of her, surprising her before she could even attempt to retreat behind him herself. She was shaking nervously as she stared at the large reptile standing calm and tall. It gave them a greeting, to which the Raichu responded gruffly. As they watched the Sceptile, another person came from the forest. It was an Ivysaur, with a peculiar blue coloration to the tip of its bulb. Was this the Bulbasaur that was spoken of by Jixley and this Raichu? The Ivysaur gave a charge after apparently recognizing the Sceptile. He trips up on a root, however, and then turns with disappointment back to the forest.

She felt the lack of safety, her vulnerability to the world and to the Sceptile, when her only screen between its sharp eyes and her had left. The Raichu had taken up pursuit on Narron, leaving her behind. Even though she tried to resist her urge, she was already putting her hopes up on him, praying that he would permit her following. She immediately hurried after the Raichu, giving a wide berth to the Sceptile as she passes by him. While she did not know what to say to the Ivysaur to keep it here, for it seemed to be a friend of Shaka’s, she hoped she could at least help in some way. The Raichu took heed of her as she came to him, glaring with a confusion that made her skid to a halt next to him, but he returned his concerned look to Narron and continued a conversation that had started before she had gotten there herself. She passively listened to them, but took her idle time to keep her ears and eyes out for anything that might ambush them.

    CELESTIC TOWN | NOON | 7

Jixley dipped her head in greeting to the Pikachu. Tsukiko is an odd name, thought the Luxio. Sounds like nothing else I've ever heard before.
She could see the electric Pokemon was nervous, and rightfully so. A lone Pikachu meeting two larger, most likely stronger, electric types, and with no way to know if they were going to hurt her.
"Pleased to meet you, Tsukiko. I'm Jixley," purred the big feline Pokemon, trying to reassure the Pikachu that she wouldn't be harmed while she was in their company.

Emerging from the nearby forest, a Sceptile in a lab-coat, an almost too happy grin on his face, walked towards the small electric Pokemon group.
"Hello~" it called over, a sickly sweet note in its voice. Jixley wasn't completely sure why, but her spine began to prickle and she was feeling somewhat uneasy.
"Er, hello," she greeted the new Pokemon, turning away from it but not letting her guard down. Unconsciously, she unsheathed her claws and dug them into the ground.

Shortly after the Sceptile had arrived, an Ivysaur did as well. There was a few moments of uneasy silence, but then the Ivysaur charged in their direction. He tripped on an exposed root, however, and he turned an ran off. "Wait; Narron, where are you going?" cried out Shaka.

Narron? That was Narron? He must have evolved! Jixley was happy for him, but wondered what had caused that.
Without warning, Shaka ran to him on all fours and spoke to him in hushed tones. She watched as Tsukiko hurriedly followed Shaka. Now alone, Jixley inched away from the Sceptile, fairly certain of what it was that made her so wary.

Sade was not concerned at the lack of trust he is being shown, he keeps up the facade of his disarming smile with no sign that he notices their suspicions.
His diguise must have been effective if they had not shown more than cursory signs of hostility towards him and even those were prudent as not all those afflicted with the disease showed visible signs of it until some time but developed a tendency for erratic behaviors. He would be under close surveillence for some time however it was safe to move closer and so he does, still keeping all trace of menace from his form as he approaches the trio of electric types.
He sees the flicker of motion as the Raichu moves to protect his evolutionary family and carefully notes it down.
Protective, possible relationship? swift responce means used to danger/possibly experieced, signs of a fear responce...
    Inwardly Sade smirked.
Fear of predators, prudent for an electric mouse.
At the very least he can put his new form to good use in intimidation should the need arise.
As the question is put to him Sade carefully assembles
a believable excuse for his presence here; a kindly scientist trainer, a wild undead, searching for a cure...

He is rather put off when the Raichu does not wait to hear it and instead pays more attenttion to something happening behind him.
The solid thump of something hitting the ground is enough excuse to let him turn around and watch the Ivysaur without appearing threatening.
Whatever the blue on its bulb had been the discoloration had remained through evolution and the charging grass type had just tripped over a root before suddenly seemingly to lose its determination and fleeing back into the woods.
Apparently it was called Narron too as the Raichu cries out as it chases after it.
The Pikachu looses its nerve and follows, leaving the sceptile alone with the Luxio.
He had not been close enough to catch her full name, something starting with "J" apparently.
It is very tempting to just slit her open right there but it would make it so much harder to catch the others if they were put on their guard.
"Freinds of yours?" He opts to ask the Luxio instead. "Should we...y' know...follow?"
His usual method of speaking is replaced with a hint of accent, something from the southern states of america but nowhere in specific. His nochalence is disarming, or it will be once it has time to sink in.

As Narron walked off, saddened by his mistake , the fact that he almost attacked an innocent person, and the fact that all of the deaths and disappearances could be his fault, Shaka appeared beside him.

“Wait; Narron, where are you going? What’s wrong, Narron? It’s obvious something is bothering you.”

Narron looked away, though out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Pikachu appear closely behind Shaka.

    "Nothing, it's just..."

Narron began to say, then stopped himself. He wasn't in the mood for talking.

"I almost attacked that Sceptile. I thought it was the Grovyle, but it wasn't. The Grovyle was infected, the Sceptile wasn't. What if I had hurt it? An innocent Pokémon, and I attack it? Zoke's dead because of me, The others I was with earlier, dissipated because of me, and... and... the Golbat's death, also my fault."

Narron had wanted to keep his mouth shut and just trudge away from everyone, but something inside of him had forced him to voice his thoughts. Now Shaka would pry, would try ad comfort him probably. That wasn't what Narron wanted. He wanted to be alone, to hunt and kill infected.

"I would be better off by myself, killing every infected I can find. Especially seeing as I need to find that Grovyle, and you's would just get in my way. You's would be in danger. I can't handle putting anyone else in danger. Lately, it's like everyone I meet dies, and that Pikachu and Sceptile, I couldn't bear it if they died because of me a well. Maybe I'm cursed, I don't know, but I just need to leave, I just have to... go."

Damn it! Why couldn't he just keep his mouth shut? Why had Shaka followed him, and talked to him? Why had he met them in the first place? Damn it all! He quickly turned from Shaka and the Pikachu and bounded into the forest as fast as he could, hoping not to be followed by them.

((OoC:Feel free to follow Narron and pry, or do whatever, it doesn't really mater, just needed to add to my post, felt it was too small without the complaints about being followed and asked questions.))

    Celestic Town | Noon || Shaka ~ 27 -- Tsukiko ~ 8

    ~*~ Shaka ~*~

Fortunately, Narron stops running when Shaka asks him what is going on. Narron hesitated for a moment, seeming distressted, but eventually broke out his thoughts. The Ivysaur told him of how he mistook the Sceptile for the Grovyle from earlier, and how he nearly mauled him as a result. Then, he went on to question himself that it was his fault that Ponamu had died--a topic that left the Raichu’s fur ruffling slightly from its recalling. Narron did not even stop there, surprisingly, as he continued to spill out his frustrations to his friend. “I would be better off by myself, killing every infected I can find. Especially seeing as I need to find that Grovyle, and you’s would just get in my way. You’s would be in danger. I can’t handle putting anyone else in danger. Lately, it’s like everyone I meet dies, and that Pikachu and Sceptile. I couldn’t bear it if they died because of me as well. Maybe I’m cursed, I don’t know, but I just need to leave. I just have to...go.”

To say that Shaka wanted to knock some sense into Narron was an understatement. Although the confession had both quieted and amazed him, Shaka could not help but want to berate his friend for the rash words. Does Narron seriously think that he’s the only one that feels that way?

It took little time for the screams of Shaka’s mother and the enraged shouting of his father to echo in his mind--the last things he ever heard from them before they were murdered by the Undead. Then, just before Shaka could sympathize with him, Narron whirled around and sprinted back into the forest once more. He was half-expecting the reaction, causing him to break out in anger and chase after his friend. Shaka stopped after just passing through thick green boundary that marked the forest, surrendering to Narron’s reckless decisions. “Fool!” He silently whispers, sparking his cheeks in anger and gritting his sharp teeth.

His fur frilled up and he looked back to see Tsukiko had followed him. She just stared up at him with troubled eyes, being surprisingly concerned for someone that did not even know Narron before. But he dismissed the gaze. He was just about to follow Narron when his eyes locked upon the calm gaze of the Sceptile. For a long moment he just stared at the lizard, his mind trying to consider everything as quickly as possible. If this person was truly as dangerous as his predatory appearance proposed, then he could easily threaten Jixley. Leaving her and Tsukiko alone with him would be a very risky action, if not stupid. Not only that, but he could just not take away the unnerving feeling that this person was analyzing them, trying to find something out. It certainly could just be his paranoia, but he trusted his instincts and decided upon it anyways.

“Just let him run.” Shaka coolly told himself, managing to retain his calm disposition as he stared into the thick forests. He turns around and whips his tail in the direction of Narron’s retreat, scowling his disappointment as he pads back to the others. “He’s risking his own life by going back in the forest; there is nothing we can do for him if he wants to be that way. We, however, need to be ready for an Undead attack. The amount of noise that’s been wreaked around this town is certain to gather their attention.” The words were half-muttered, but he ushered himself enough to have it be heard by the others.

There was an obvious grating to his mood, however. Within, Shaka was embittered by the Ivysaur’s recklessness. If Narron dies, then would it not be his fault? But he must stay with the others; they need shelter and a home before nightfall. One casualty versus four--the ideas of making such a choice left an impression of guilt, but Shaka could find nothing else to do for Narron except pray that he returns in one piece.

    ~*~ Tsukiko ~*~

When she had made it to a fair distance from Shaka, she stopped nervously. A conversation had begun between him and the Ivysaur whose name was given as Narron. She did not want to get to close to them, for fear that Shaka would become irritated, but had been standing close enough to overhear a large part of the conversation. There were things said about deaths, about how Narron had recklessly charged at the Sceptile. The Ivysaur looked to be so deeply troubled, despite his tough appearance. She put a paw over her heart in shy concern for the Ivysaur, and her ears drooped as she watched Shaka give short pursuit when Narron fled into the woods. There was a moment of silence before he returned through the foliage and began stepping back towards the others. As he passed Tsukiko, he looked to her. His face was a dull stare, which made her trouble even more. She could almost feel the grimness coming off from him.

It all disappeared as he advised the others about Narron, and how they needed to seek shelter. He was a bit grim about Narron’s fleeing, but she shyly kept her concerns to herself. Tsukiko followed beside Shaka, making sure to keep him between her and the Sceptile; as much as she did not want to condemn someone else, the large lizard was just too intimidating for her to be around. He seemed to notice this, but chose to ignore it for the time being. Shaka has not shown signs of irritation regarding her closeness yet, so she felt safe to stand nearer to him.

Without a reply from the Luxio Sade decides it fits best within his persona to pursue, if only to ensure they haven't moved on and left him and the other electric type behind as dead weight.
With a casual ease he moves through the silent streets, as well camoflauged in the urban jungle as he was in his own and second by second he overcomes the desire to drop into a predatory lope.
His alert eyes took in every detail of the town, from what buildings still bore tiny flickering fires from powerful attacks to the deep dark spots where he could detect sleeping infected that could be roused to serve as a distraction.
Although his knowledge of his species is near non-existant he signals with sure swift flicks of his frond-like tail that he is in fact the alpha of this territory.
The sun was warm on his leafy tail, strength for a grass type like himself.
Lizard like his pink tongue darts out to run along the hard plate of his beak-like jaw.
His long hooked fingers twitch as his golden eyes spot the cloaked raichu and his attendant pikachu and, of course, the ivysaur. Apparently his arrival has come in time to catch the tail end of an arguement.
The ivysaur with the blue splattered bulb turns tail and retreats back into the thick treeline of forest (somewhere he could hunt them down later, Sade carefully notes)
"Hey little Ivysaur Dude, come back. It's dangerous in there!" he calls out to it.

Narron disappeared into the thick jungle, ready to hunt down every infected he could find. He burst through bush after bush, past tree and root. At one point, to test his vines, he used his Vine Whip to grip branches, and traversed not in the trees, but not on the ground. Were anyone to see, it would look as if he was flying through the air, with multiple green vines sprouting out of his back.

After only minutes, he came to see an undead-a large Wartortle-and memories of the Squirtle-Zoke-came flooding back. Angry memories, and only a few, being that he had not known Zoke long, but it still hurt, hell, it was only natural that it hurt. He had lost his friend, or enemy, it was a thin line, like siblings.

It used it's Bite attack, which Narron dodged easily enough. Quickly retaliating, Narron used his Tackle attack, and knocked it unconscious. An easy kill, it would have rid the world of one more undead, but, it's species was too close to Squirtle, and Narron couldn't kill it. He shot his vines up, gripped several tree branches, and began moving along once again.

Over the next 20 minutes, Narron encountered three undead, all low level, and easy to kill, but the thought of 4 undead, plus the Grovyle, in one small area, it didn't seem OK to Narron. Why were there so many undead, in one small area, perhaps it was nothing, but it worried Narron. Were the others OK? He was definitely not returning to them, how could he? But he was unsure of their safety in such a highly infested area. They probably could take care of themselves, but what if they were caught off-guard?

He decided that the best course of action was to stay within the forest, but follow them, stick close, if they went inside, he would hide near the building, if they came out, he would hide in the forest where he could see them. He would watch them, to stop any more infected from hurting them. It was the only thing he could do to repay them for all of the deaths, they were all his fault, and he had to repay them.

    Celestic Town | Noon || Shaka ~ 28 -- Tsukiko ~ 9

    ~*~ Shaka ~*~

As he waits for Jixley’s reply to his suggestion for finding shelter, Shaka notices that the Sceptile had also taken heed of Narron’s retreat back into the town exit’s forest. “Hey little Ivysaur Dude, come back. It’s dangerous out there!” Shaka shook his head in disbelief at the care the predator was giving for Narron, and found the Sceptile’s casual words quite odd. Bluntly, Shaka calls out to him, making a few steps in the lizard’s direction. “It’s pointless, Sceptile. Our best option is to wait and see if he will return, and pursuing him will only put more of us in danger.”

    ~*~ Tsukiko ~*~

Tsukiko had remained close to the Raichu, her arms crossed in discomfort to the cold air of the town. “M-Mr. Shaka sir, should we try that house?” She nods and points to the rather well-kept structure at the side of the town overlooking the town’s cave, keeping her shy voice quiet as she does so.

He gives a nod to her, before looking back to Jixley and the Sceptile.

Jixley looked at Shaka and Tsukiko and nodded. "Shelter would probably be a good idea, Shaka," said the large feline Pokemon.
It had been a long day for all of them, and she didn't quite trust the Sceptile, either.

"M-Mr. Shaka sir, should we try that house?" asked Tsukiko. Jixley turned to look at the building. It seemed stable enough.

The Sceptile gives a calculatedly casual shrug and his eyes briefly become downcast as the Ivysaur does not return but his apparent good cheer soon returns as everyone else stays close.
Inwardly Sade's mind is a blur. He actively has to suppress the desire to sweep his eyes over every square inch of his environment but his mind throws up stratagem after stratagem to be evaluated and being unable to freely gather the data he desires without falling under suspicion irritates him.
How did others stand the lack of knowledge without going insane. Wouldn't their minds grow stagnant with lack of activity or were their thought merely bloated with content at their own small knowledge?
With half an ear he hears the Raichu's response and attempts to look sufficiently dejected.
"I know it's just...I would hate for anyone to get hurt because of me." The false words seem sincere enough, Sade is well practiced.
"By the way my name is Sade, never got a chance to fully introduce myself."
The sceptile's yellow pupils contract as he tilts his head upwards to get a better look around and the bright noon sun gets in his eyes. He straightens out his jacket, smoothing out a few tiny creases in the stiff white fabric as he surveys the forest edge.
"Seems pretty peaceful around here...for now at least. Shelter seems like a good option." He adds in response to the electric type's suggestion and sweeps his gaze across the town.
Carefully and acutely he observes the building the Pikachu has suggested. He can see now outward signs of serious damage to the building but his golden gaze picks up other signs; tiny signs that no-one else without his encyclopedic knowledge of the habits of the undead would see as significant.
By his judgement there is an 87.2% chance that an undead was currently resting inside the building, the remaining 23.8% accounting for the possibility it is currently absent and hunting.
Either way the Sceptile coolly calculates it the end result is a good opportunity to prove his worth to the group.

"This one?" Sade asks, stepping up to the building. The door's paintwork is worn and faded but bears no large signs of infected. "Well then lets see..."
The hooked clawed hand reaches out towards the door handle as the Sade tilts his head a fraction to the side.
Inside the sceptile can hear a faint tremor of movement, wing tissue softly brushing against wing tissue.
He tries to cross-reference the sound with his own knowledge of winged pokemon.
    Nothing with feathers certainly.
It was no Flygon, Vibrava, Altaria...
    Ah, of course.
    Golbat.

((One of Pounamu's tribe is currently residing within said house if that's permissible...))

    Outside of Celestic Town| Noon | 1

Piper wandered through the forest, seeing clear signs of battle all around, she whispered to young Azrael.

"Stay close honey, we need to be careful."

She gave a hysteric giggle, then stopped and continued.

"Azrael, it appears we may have some company soon, friends for you to play with. Perhaps you's can have a sleepover, and I can tuck all of you's in to bed."

Touching a tree, Pipers face became blank, devoid of expression as a scene played out inside of her head.

A face, a familiar face, green, blue, the pictures cleared up to form a small clearing in the forest, an Ivysaur with blue on it's back appeared, it sent Razor Leaves towards Azrael, which Piper quickly used Psychic on, stopping them dead in their tracks and making them drop to the ground. A psychotic cackle sounded throughout the area. Piper used Psychic, and began using it on the Ivysaur's brain, she focused, trying to move it, to break the brain stem, and put the Ivysaur to bed. The Ivysaur began screaming.

Pipers face returned to normal as a large grin broke out.

"We're seeing an old friend, and some new ones too. Do you remember blue-back Bulbasaur? He decided he didn't want to go to bed, and ran off. He left me with these."

Piper pointed to the leaves and scar in her face with her good hand as she spoke to Azrael.

"We'll also meet some zappy Pokémon to, and another grass Pokémon."

Piper and Azrael began walking once again, as Piper led the way, checking with her Psychic to see which way she needed to take, to put everyone to bed.

((OoC: The scene from the future was one of her premonitions which she gets when she comes in physical contact with an item or person connected to her vision, or when the psychic energy is powerful in a certain area. The tree she touched was one of the trees where a Razor leaf had been embedded from Narron and Sade's fight, the visions can not be changed, unless someone has knowledge of what will happen so it can be changed. I will get Piper to say something about the fight before she sees Narron when she is near one of you, so that you can change it if you want. this is what it looks like Sometimes she will see sights of the future not from a vision, but less commonly, she has a full vision such as in the link, and this OoC note is ALOT bigger than I had planned it to be. Orange is one of her premonitions.))

Narron quickly made it back to the others, and stood in the shadows as they contemplated entering a building. The Grovyle looked odd as he peered at the building, but quickly spoke and reached out for the handle. Narron wondered what the thoughtful look which crossed the grass Pokémon's face was for, but he found it of less importance then keeping the others safe.

Narron looked back when he heard a small sound from behind him. It sounded like a woman laughing, but realized that it may be awhile off. The forest had become eerily quiet, and any sound could carry for up to 5 kilometres. With that sound so quiet, Narron wasn't even sure he had heard it, and even if he had, it would most likely have been far away.

((OoC:Sorry about the post not really ending well, I couldn't think of anything to do once I was hiding in the forest watching everyone until someone else posts.))

    Celestic Town | Evening || Shaka ~ 29 -- Tsukiko ~ 10

    ~*~ Shaka ~*~

“I know it’s just....I would hate for anyone to get hurt because of me.” Touching as the Sceptile’s words were, he only half-believed them.

Shaka’s response was respectful and simple though. “Well, good for you then.” He was still not entirely sure if he was hiding something, but Shaka hid his personal suspicions from the gecko. Then again, all predatory creatures made him paranoid like this. “By the way my name is Sade, never got a chance to fully introduce myself. Seems pretty peaceful around here....for now at least. Shelter seems like a good option.” Shaka nods calmly, and heeds Jixley’s reply as well. “Shelter would probably be a good idea, Shaka.”

Sade also takes notice of Tsukiko’s suggestion of which house to go to. She had directed a pointing finger towards the fairly damaged structure on the far end of the town, overlooking the town’s cave. “This one?” Sade asked as he walked the way around the town towards the building.

Shaka looks back to the woods with a suspicious glare as the two walked off. He had noticed some vague noise, like that of a feminine giggle, echoing from its depths. It stopped just as soon as it started, however, leaving only the noise of the group’s footsteps and the placid wind. Shaka mostly dismisses it and moves towards the building Sade was walking to. When he looked back in its direction he almost bumped into Tsukiko, who had apparently waited for him to go to the structure as well. He stared at her in confusion for a moment, before she flicked her tail in their species’ gesture to follow. He passed by her without another thought, only returning his gaze over to call to Jixley to see if she was following.

As he gets to the building alongside Sade, he begins to open the door. Shaka’s sensitive hearing picks up a noise, one that even the Sceptile takes notice of as well. It was a smooth sound like rustling leather, the tender noise of calmed wings. His senses could discern the miniscule qualities of the sound, helping him to reject the chances of it being an avian creature. Actually, the noise was quite familiar to him--it was the sound of a bat Pokémon, definitely a Golbat. Shaka’s first reaction was to snarl in slight irritation, but he was also caught on by curiosity. Another Golbat was in this town? Usually Golbats live in flocks, but the late Ponamu never made mention of having any companions living in Celestic. Shaka focuses more upon the noises, moving his head ever so cautiously closer to the opened door. Could he hear breaths? If this one is sleeping, it is obviously still Living, if not Infected.

“Golbat.” Shaka whispers quietly to Sade, moving his head out of the doorway and staring upwards to the lizard. He mentions it in a way that showed he knew the predator had also recognized the noise. As Sade continues, Shaka gives another cautionary look around the town and upwards to the sky. Nothing shifted, nor were there any Undead for the time. How surprising, Shaka thought to himself, we should be facing entire hordes by now. Where are they? After sniffing the inside air filtering through the half-opened door, he carefully and slowly stalks through, gesturing with his tail for Sade to follow.

    ~*~ Tsukiko ~*~

Shaka and the others had all responded to her in time. However, the person that caught most of her attention was Sade. He had solemnly voiced his concern for Narron the Ivysaur. “I know it’s just....I would hate for anyone to get hurt because of me.” Tsukiko was becalmed by his cool but concerned mood, despite being scared of him. “By the way my name is Sade, never got a chance to fully introduce myself.” Sade. The name bothered more than it should have. To everyone else the name’s origin might not be very obvious, but to her overthinking mind it was rather obvious. Sade....like Sadist? Tsukiko allowed herself to stare nervously at the Sceptile, before she calmed her nerves and looked to the others. That would be rude to dislike someone just because of their name! Over the course of her thoughts she had completely ignored the comments of the others--that is, until Sade again asked her something. Detracting from her thoughts she noticed him walking towards the choice of shelter she had suggested. “This one?” She nods silently and begins to walk after him before she notices that Shaka was still distracted by something coming from the forest.

He nearly walked into her as he turned back around, but stopped just in time. Tsukiko flicks her tail in an attempt to ask him to follow, but he blatanly ignores her and walks by. The act slighted her a bit and she flinched in self-disappointment. At least she managed to get him to follow with her to the building. After they get closer to Sade she responds to him. Her voice is breaking a little out of nervousness but she holds together. “S-sorry for the wait. Yes, this is the building Mr. Sade.”

Coming to the front doorway, Sade cautiously opens the door. “Well then let’s see....” Both he and Shaka seem to notice some noise coming within, the likes of which she cannot pick up. Instead she merely stays back from the scene, smiling humbly when Jixley comes up as well. At least she would be safer back here; she would not be of much use if there was something dangerous inside.

Noting the caution of the Raichu and Pikachu Sade carefully takes a grip on the doorknob and slowly opens the door so that the sudden rush of air does not disturb the golbat he can hear inside.
His hooked claws accidentally gouge the metal as he struggles to get his rigid fingers in the sufficent position to actually turn the knob.
The door is not simply unlocked, the lock has been broken off, something the large reptilian pokemon finds is a sure sigh that the building is indeed inhabited.
Leaning his head to the side as he slowly pulls open the door he presses one golden eye to the slit.
His pupil at first contracts then begins to dilate as he peers into the darkness beyond.
At first the gloom is imperable as if it were a solid block but as his eyesight begins to adjust and a bit of light spills in from the open door he picks up shapes in the room, in particular on the ceiling.
The soft rustle of wings has ceased.
No doubt as nocturnal cave dweller such as Golbat has hidden itself away to sleep until the darkness returns and it can go hunting.
It is a good thing that they found it now, at high noon when its night vision will be tattered, as opposed to it finding them after the sun has gone down.
Sade can also make out the tipped over remains of a human couch, a broken T.V and a couple of chairs.
This would have been the lounge or sitting room.
Carefully easing the door open another fraction and glad that even though the building has not been looked after for some time the hinges are not squeaking the Sceptile inclines his head in the direction of the Raichu and Pikachu to let them know he is going to open the door the whole way.
"Be ready." He mouths as he mimed opening the door and twitches one long bladed arm.
Stepping forward with a Leaf Blade already glowing in preparation he flings open the door.
Noonlight streams down onto the head of the sleeping golbat and it awakes with a supersonic screech, unfurling its leathery wings and dropping from its perch on the ceiling.
Sade slices up at it and it flutters backwards to land on the couch and hiss at him.
There was no doubt this creature was undead.
It's tiny eyes gleamed with the red fire of the infection, its blue skin turned a mottled dark purple in great swathes that almost eliminate the natural tones and a great bloody bite-mark is deep across its stomach.
Unusually there was dark green markings on it too, strange deeply carved tattoos that are unusual in his experience of Golbats.

It whips the dusty air with its wings and drops straight into a screeching homicidal dive bomb.
Sade slices upwards as it tries to clamp its fangs on the green-scaly arm as he strikes upwards with a Leaf Blade.
It is sent spiraling into the door frame, denting it with the weight of its body.
Sade takes a combat stance different from his usual one, keeping his legs planted apart in a defensive stance ready to deflect the next blow.
It blinks its bright red eyes in the noonlight as it is dazzled and it makes a breif noise of pain, clawing at its face with flailing wings.
Around its neck is some sort of rough ornament made from cave stone that has been roughly carved into the shape of a bat.
