Mathias's voice brought Glass back to the present day. He was asking if she was okay. "I-I'm fine." Glass said, nodding to herself. Glass realized she hadn't moved from the doorway that they had just left. taking a few short steps, Glass fought the urge to hurl. It felt like she was walking on... well, entrails, which basically, they were. "I'll be glad to get out of here." Glass muttered, looking up to see Mathias open one of the two still standing doors. Huh, so it wasn't locked. Hooray for us then. Glass thought sarcastically, racing towards Mathias, glad to get off the blood-soaked floor.

Slowing down to a stop next to Mathias, Glass saw that the staircase down led to a pool of water. Electrical surges through the water made it ripple as it responded to the electrical energy. Touching the water would definitely mean death. So, it seemed the only way was up. Following Mathias up the staid to the third floor, a feeling of uneasiness spread through her body like a wildfire, making her hesitate as her heart rate sped up for about the third time. It was amazing that she hadn't had a heart attack yet. "Glass, have Taph ride on your back, I got a feeling that we'll run into something up there."

Glass nodded, waiting till they got to the third floor for Taph to be able to ride on her back. She could run fast with a passenger, and Taph should be able to hold on. Not to mention it'll make it easier if we are getting chased. Glass thought, rather amusedly. Once they had gotten to the third floor, Glass lay down next to Mathias so that Taph could get on her back if he wished. Scanning the new floor they had just gotten to, Glass's feeling of uneasiness refused to shift, setting her whole demeanor on edge.

((OOC: I give permission for Taph to ride on Glass's back ;3))

The metallic scent of blood is somewhat mitigated by a new scent flowing through the open door, the sharp electric scent of ozone. A puddle of water spreads out across the floor below and its surface shivers like it is about to come to the boil.
Eerie.
The little canine pokemon shuffles away from it, not wanting to know what would happen if he touched it. It looked more dangerous than a simple pool of water should.
His brow wrinkles as he thinks intently. They're going to have to find another way down if they're going to get out so why aren't they trying to go to the ground floor?
Taph turns a fraction, away from the strange hopping water and notices Mathias is standing behind him, the large orange scaled fire type almost too big for the human sized corridors. His wings are pressed in close to his sides. He can't unfold them properly in the confined space.
That was right, Mathias was so big and strong he could probably fly them to a safe place.
Taph's breath hitches in his throat. There is red drying blood crusted around the bottom of each of the Charizard's clawed feet and clinging to the white fur of Glass's paws. He was the only one the taint of the bloody hallway hadn't touched.

"Glass, have Taph ride on your back, I got a feeling that we'll run into something up there." Mathias says and though Taph can sense a disturbed aura from the absol she quietly settles down and flicks her head to the side, scanning the corridor for danger.
"I can walk by myself." Taph protests childishly, not wanting his new friends to think he was weak when he'd been trying so hard to be brave.
None the less he carefully hops onto the Absol's back and buries his snout in the warm fluffy fur of the Dark Type's mane. The smell of clean fur is comforting, reminding him of the times he had spent curled up in a warm blanket while his trainer had read aloud to him from the colorful book.
"I do believe in fairies...I do believe in fairies..." He whispers to himself, unaware that Glass can hear his mantra.

Mathias sat on the stone floor of the stairway, keeping well alert of what might be up on the third floor. Taph seemed to not be tiring out from what he was seeing and what he said. "I can walk by myself." Though he thought to himself that the young riolu would be tired out by now, something was amiss that he didn't realize. Taph's stamina was greater than that of a living riolu, but he couldn't bring himself to tell Glass. As Mathias got up, he slowly opened the door to keep themselves from being detected. "Alright, get ready to run for it, this one has one of those detectors that can set of an alarm and the way it looks, its activated." Mathias said softly while staring at the machine. He knew what it was and there was no way they can get around it. Not even a box was placed to provide it power, so only thing that could explain is that the power supply was in the security room on the first floor.

As they got in, he shut the door slowly in order to get a head start. He walked up to the machine without crossing it, but he couldn't help the feeling that once they cross they'll be pursued right to the other stairway door. "Taph, Glass, once we break the beams on this thing an alarm will sound and most likely alert more of those monsters after us. Our best bet is to reach that door and hold is shut until they back off." His heart was racing, the dangerous feeling of fight or flight would be dominant now. Then, he nodded and started running for it with Glass and Taph in front of him. He would provide cover to slow the creatures down. The alarm sounded off the minute they passed through the infrared beams. Creatures started pouring out behind them in an angry attempt to kill them. "Don't look back, we're almost there." As monsters kept popping out of every doorway trying to grab them, they finally reach the eastern stairway door.

Mathias quickly opened the door, and used his flamethrower to cover both Taph and Glass. As they passed through, Mathias launched one last flamethrower to give them time to pin the door shut. With each thump on the door, he heard growling and snarling as if they wanted to tear them apart. Finally, the alarm stopped and the monsters slowly started to return back to where they came. "That was a close one and looks like we're in luck too." Mathias was catching his breath while looking down the stairway shaft.

((OoC Well kind of thought of that scenario, but now the real danger will be confronted.

It seemed her uneasy feeling was right. As soon as Glass stood up, Mathias pointed out something that Glass had failed to realise. "Alright, get ready to run for it, this one has one of those detectors that can set off an alarm and the way it looks, its activated." Of course there'd be a fucking motion sensor. It was an insane asylum, they'd have motion sensors to stop them from escaping. This also served as a good thing too, as it meant they were close to escaping the hospital. "Taph, Glass, once we break the beams on this thing an alarm will sound and most likely alert more of those monsters after us. Our best bet is to reach that door and hold is shut until they back off."

Glass sighed in annoyance. She knew she could run really fast when she needed to, but she was hoping to not have to run. As she got ready to run, Glass's mind switched back to Taph. He had said he could walk by himself, yet a riolu his size would be tired by now. Her mind went back further to when Taph had that panic attack and fell over. Maybe he did die back then and now he's an undead. She thought, her thoughts coming back to the present. Tensing her muscles, Glass waited for Mathias's signal. She felt lightheaded and dizzy and adrenaline shot through her veins at her feeling that there'd be either a fight, or they'd be running like hell.

Mathias took one step forwards, and immediately the alarm sounded. It was a blaring noise, much like a gunshot at first, but it kept going. Bounding forwards, Glass hightailed it for the door. She could feel the thuds of the infected behind them. She ran as fast as she could for the door. By about halfway her muscles were screaming in protest, but she kept going.

Skidding in front of the door, Mathias opened it and without hesitating, Glass jumped landing in the stairwell, just at Mathias shut the door behind them with a loud THUMP. Spinning around, Glass tensed her muscles again. "Hold on Taph!" Glass said, rearing up onto her hind legs and pacing her front feet on the door. Bracing herself there, Glass pushed all her weight onto the door, keeping it shut.

The alarm blared on the other side of the door, but it was faint against the bangings on the door. Suddenly, it all stopped. The alarm cut off and the banging stopped. Going back down onto all fours, Glass took in a deep breath to calm her nerves. "Lets just hope we don't have to go back that way." Glass said, looking down the stairwell. It seemed that this stairwell was complete, as she could see that the stairs to the first floor were intact.

Taph blinks muzzily and looks at the box Mathias is pointing out. It looks the same as any other piece of equipment he has seen so far, something squat and metallic of unknown purpose but he doesn’t see any beams. Was it going to shoot beams at them?
Growing up in the Celestial Tower he had never seen anything more technologically advanced then his trainer’s radio and the ancient ghost-haunted building had never needed any fancy security systems.
Glass and Mathias were talking like it was dangerous but what could the little metal box do?
Tightening his grip in Glass’s long white fur Taph focuses on the stairs ahead. They are a little worn and made of thin metal not like the solid stone stairs of home but they look like they the way out to him. All they have to do is cross the hallway. Surely if they ran really fast then the metal box wouldn’t have time to shoot beams at them?
As Mathias takes one further step a horrible noise assaults the Riolu’s tender ears and he adds a howl of panic to the din as Glass swiftly leaps forwards. Hanging on tightly to his friends long white fur he hunches down, pressing close to Glass’s back to prevent himself from slowing her down too much.

Looking around he sees Mathias behind them turn his head around on his long neck and open his jaws. Dark shapes, indistinct shadows with red eyes, are coming towards them. The strange harsh lighting of the place means he only sees patches of the swift moving things; scales, fur and feathers matted with long dried blood and dyed a deep purple by illness. Eyes as scarlet red as his own seem to glow in the darkness, the blood colored pinpricks of light marking another undead eager for their blood. More than any of that what Taph notices is the teeth gleaming brightly in the darkness and the boiling dark aura that pours off the skin of the approaching mob, nearly blotting them out in the Riolu’s vision. It is a dark virulent red to his sight and feels like a deep aching hunger that makes his stomach twist in sympathy. Then there is a tiny spark in the darkness and the corridor fills with flames. Scarlet eyes open wide in terror as their owner tightly holds onto the Absol’s fur and turns his head away from the terrifying wave of light and heat. He can’t block out the scent of charred, rotten flesh however.
"I do believe in fairies. I do believe in fairies." He recites over and over in his terror, hiding his face in Glass’s fur. "I do believe in fairies. I do believe in fairies.” A tear starts to run down his cheek.

He doesn’t notice as they reach the doorway until he feels Glass skids around.
“Hold on Taph!”
Taph holds on as tightly as he can as the Absol rears up and places her paws firmly against the door. Releasing his too tight grip on the white fur Taph leans against the door as well and feels an impact from the other side that nearly shakes him loose.
"Goawaygoawaygoawaygoaway…" Taph says under his breath as he braces himself firmly, ready to endure the next blow. With all three of them holding the door shut the blows from the other side fail to open the door.
Soon the terrible loud sound that had called them dies away with a pathetic squeak and the sounds of monsters moving behind the door die away. The Riolu swallows and carefully slips from Glass’s back onto his knees. A few tears slip down his snout but they are starting to dry up as the danger passes. His body shakes violently with excess adrenaline.
We did it…” He whispers to himself.

Looking down the stairway shaft, the sounds of water below on the basement floor continued to echo up. Mathias stared at the both Glass and Taph with relief from their slight problem. "Good, looks like we can take the stairs down to the first floor and head to the lobby." The trio's final destination in this madhouse was near. He started walking down to the second floor and found the reason why the door wasn't budging. The door's hinges were rusted to the point where the door wouldn't open. "Seems that would explain the dangerous detour we took, the door's rusted shut." He looked around it a little more and turned out it was also boarded up for maintenance. Once they reached the first floor, Mathias' attention turned towards Taph. Was it concern that the Charizard felt for the Riolu once they escape? None can say for sure, but Mathias was determined to keep his promise to Taph.

Mathias opened the door slowly just in case there was something there. Luckily the halls looked like nothing happened, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something isn't right as if someone is waiting for them to show up. "I got a bad feeling about this, we might have to be ready for a fight." His feelings was becoming more true by each step they took. Mathias' eyes was moving from left to right very cautiously. At each corner they came up to, he slowly started taking peeks around.

Then, he looked at both Glass and Taph with a very serious look. "The lobby's close by, but keep your guard up. I got a feeling we're about to meet the leader of these creatures." Just as he got close to the next corner he heard music playing. The lobby was around the next corner. Freedom was near, but they're going to have to fight for it. Mathias stuck his head around the corner a few times. The lobby was completely clear or so it seems. He slowly made his way to the lobby, when something called out to him by his name. A shadowy figure was standing on the opposite side of the hall.

Glass sighed with relief when the infected didn't come back. Turning back to the stairs, the echo of water and the occasional crackle of electricity bounced on the walls and grew in volume as it got higher up and reached her ears. As Mathias started walking down the stairs, Glass made sure Taph was still on her back before carefully making her way down. As she got to the second floor, her attention was immediately drawn to the rust covered door hinges.

If these are rusted, why weren't the other hinges? She thought, glancing down the stairs again. The closer she got to the bottom floor, she more the feeling of uneasiness grew. A tingling started at her scythe and spread all along her body like pins and needles. She knew that feeling. Her disaster sense was going off. "Mathias, I can sense something down there."

Glass was unsure, but Mathias trudged on and not wanting to stay here, Glass followed. As her paws touched the floor of the lobby, she had to stop for a moment, as a white hot shock from her scythe spread throughout her body. A short, quiet yelp escaped her mouth before she had time to stop it. Her disaster sense was going off it's nut. A voice spoke up, calling Mathias by name, and another shock racked Glass. Whatever was setting off her disaster sense was the one who was speaking. "Mathias, whatever you do, do not go near whoever is speaking! My disaster sense is going off it's nut and whatever is setting it off is the owner of that voice!" Glass managed to say through the shocks. She knew it wasn't the water, the floor around her was dry. She just hoped that Taph didn't feel her trembling as the shock from her disaster sense faded. The kid had enough to worry about already.

The Riolu hunches over, his back twisted up in an unnatural way as he attempts to make himself smaller and less of a target. His breathing becomes more and more labored as the stairs spiraled down, down, down into blackness. He swallowed and tasted bile at the back of his throat.
I’m dead. He thinks to himself and shudders. I’m dead, I’m dead, I died, I’m dead.
Taph’s scarlet eyes are wide and it seems to be getting harder and harder to breathe. He forces himself down from the panic of it.
I’m dead and that means…
His breath catches in his throat at the next thought and he chokes. I don’t want to be a monster. Glass and Mathias…They’re so nice to me. I don’t want to make them sad. I don’t want to hurt them.
The little Riolu looks at his paw. It doesn’t look any different but under the blue fur he knew the disease was pulsing through his veins, turning them dead and purple. How long would it be before the color started to leech through and dye his fur? How long before he could no longer hide it from them? Perhaps it would simply be… easier to end it right now.
I-If I was dead… Taph thinks and buries his face in Glass’s long white fur. Tears run down his long canine snout as he silently cries.
Even if he’s already dead he’s afraid.

Mathias’s voice, comfortingly walking them through the path they have been taking, suddenly becomes deadly serious and Taph’s ears prick up.
They were heading to the Lobby; past that would be a way out! The small Fighting Type shrinks back against the Absol’s back as a dark aura washes over him. His Lucario mother explained very little to him but a large aura like this meant something of considerable power was nearby.
Taph whimpers and hides himself closer to Glass’s back.
She’s trembling as she shouts out a warning and Taph feels she is scared.
Glass…It’s o.k. Glass…” He says softly. “W-We can be brave together and I-I’ll help.
What did it matter if he got hurt? He was dead already.

The figure had four arms and two legs, which only could mean a machamp was there. Mathias had felt a long sense of rivalry between him and the machamp. Then, Glass gave out a warning to Mathias. "Mathias, whatever you do, do not go near whoever is speaking! My disaster sense is going off it's nut and whatever is setting it off is the owner of that voice!" He held his ground and stayed along with Taph and Glass. "Are you responsible for this mess?" Mathias asked and the response was guilty as charged. It happened to be a threat that Mathias knew would throw them into combat against their new foe. His heart started to beat fast as if his emotions had came towards a bitter anger towards their foe. "You're no different from the rest of those undead. You betrayed everyone just for this." The Machamp laughed as if the words were to kind to him. Then, he told Mathias straight out that he wants revenge.

It grew eerily silent in the lobby as the two forces stared each other down. Mathias knew he couldn't defeat him alone and with the help of both Taph and Glass. They might have a chance to defeat their foe and escape. “W-We can be brave together and I-I’ll help.” A smile came onto Mathias' face staring at Taph and Glass. "We'll fight him together and put an end to his schemes. We can win this fight." Mathias confidently said. The Machamp laughed and started to crack his knuckles to prepare for a fight. He had only one choice to make and it was to fight against this terrible foe. The battle was about to begin and they had to come out alive if they wanted to see their friends again.

So it seemed that Mathias knew this pokemon. Flicking her red eyes over the form, she took in the four arms and the tall stature. Machamp. She'd faced one before, in Coronet, before she met Ickbarr. "Machamp, weak to Flying and Psychic type attacks." Glass muttered, just loud enough for Mathias and Taph to hear. "Glass…It’s o.k. Glass…" Glass relaxed at Taph's words. Even though Taph was younger, she knew that losing it now would be bad. She had to keep her cool, Taph was young and he needed more support. Don't you worry Taph. I'm not going to let you down.

Crouching into an attack position, Glass narrowed her eyes, the edges of them glowing a magenta hue. Her scythe pulsed with the same magenta hue, and Glass felt the psychic energy inside her build. "We'll fight him together and put an end to his schemes. We can win this fight." Glass nodded, clenching her jaw in determination. "Don't you worry Taph, I promise I'll protect you. It will all turn out fine." Glass whispered to Taph, her voice was stronger and more confident than earlier and she was glad that her disaster sense had diminished to a very slight tingling.

Her eyes became a full magenta hue, the red leeching into the psychic color, starting from the edge of the iris and creeping towards the pupil. The energy inside her reached it's maximum power and it became increasingly hard to hold it in. Scanning her foe for potential weak points, she awaited the first move, adrenaline surging through her veins like a wildfire. She knew she was ready for this fight and nothing would stop her from fighting for her freedom.

Swallowing the Riolu raises his metal-backed paws in a rough combat stance.
His shoulders are quivering and his tail lashes from side to side. Red eyes focus on the massive figure before him. His throat is dry and no matter how much he swallows it still feels like sandpaper.
"W-We're going to defeat you." He says and his voice squeaks at the end of the sentence.
He doesn't sound confident, he sounds like a frightened little kid and he can tell by the gleam in the Machamp's eyes that he knows it too.
Taph grits his teeth tightly together. Now is the time to stand up and be a hero before he goes insane and has to be killed.
With that morbid battle cry echoing in his mind Taph snarls, showing all his sharp teeth and runs forwards.

He has no real plan in mind as he runs across the lobby floor, his unclipped nails skittering on the concrete.
The Machamp moves a fraction, shifting his weight from foot to foot and raising fists the size and shape of sledgehammers.
Its shadow falls over the small canine and he gulps in fear but it's too late to back away now and he determinedly drives forwards with one leg.
His foot slams hard into abs that are as hard as rock and a jarring shock runs through the limb.
The tiny Fighting Type yelps and the fist slams down straight into his midriff and sends Taph flying.
The blue-furred canine spirals in mid-air before crashing down hard onto the solid stone floor with an echoing crunch.

Mathias stared at Taph watching him shake in fear. It wasn't just fear that Taph was going through, it was the fact that their opponent was stronger and completely insane. Just as he was about to attack, Taph was hit and sent flying towards the ground. This broke Mathias' rage towards his enemy and Mathias charged in with his aerial ace attack. "You're going to pay for hurting him!" The attack was successful, but it didn't do enough damage to knock him down. Mathias was shocked to see the Machamp still standing and laughing at him. He tried again, but this time he was caught and thrown back as if he was nothing. Flying backwards, he had to keep himself from hitting Glass. A quick twist and fast thinking saved him from crashing into her. He stabbed his claws into the floor to slow his speed down.

Mathias stopped short of hitting Glass, but the throw would of been more devastating if he was didn't react like he did. "Glass, I need some help with him, I can't get him down." He started breathing a bit more faster as he charged in again. His claws turned a ghostly color and started using shadow claw. Every swing he took kept getting dodged as if it was child's play to the enemy. Then, Mathias took a strong kick to the stomach and it forced him to catch his breath. As he was recovering from the kick the bottom two arms grabbed him and held him in place. Mathias tried to struggle out, but to no avail he was helpless to what was going to happen next.

The top arms started swinging left and right punching Mathias around as if he was being used as a punching bag. Each hit caused Mathias to stagger a bit and after wards he was tossed to the back towards Glass. As he hit the ground, Mathias decided to use that time to plan his next move and winked at Glass. He has something in mind, but if Glass was still up, then it would of been useless to try it.

Everything fell to pieces it seemed. Taph ran forward and Glass could only watch as it played in slow motion, Taph jumping up, the kick, the Machamp's counter attack. Then time sped up. Taph spin, doing cartwheels and somersaults before hitting the ground just near Glass with a sickening crack that made the dark type visibly shudder. Glass stared at Taph in horror, her mind falling to pieces. "N-no... Taph... No... Nonononononono! Crap!" Anger swelled inside Glass and the aura around her scythe pulsed with fury, tendrils of the magenta aura flickered towards the Machamp like a snake striking it's prey. "I am NOT letting you get away with that!" Glass shouted, her voice was high and almost banshee-like as she screamed, just registering enough sense to hold back as Mathias attacked.

When Mathias was hit, Glass jumped back with astounding speed, fury making her reflexes sharp. The Machamp sent out a strong kick, hitting Mathias. Glass's fury grew till she was visibly snarling. When Mathias was pinned, Glass officially lost her shit. "Oh no! You are not getting another friend!" Glass said, the magenta glow pulsed violently around her scythe and claws. Crouching down, Glass tensed her hind legs and sprang.

Letting loose a furious battle screech, Glass hit the Machamp from the side, feet first. Her claws dug in, and her hind feet swung around, the momentum knocking the Machamp off Mathias. In the surprise attack, a fist from the machamp came around as a counter attack, hitting Glass in the side. Her claws were wrenched from the fighting type's side, leaving long gashes. As she flew through the air, she twisted mid-air, landing on her feet, skidding slightly. Her side throbbed something that she could only dream of, and even then, it still felt like daggers were stabbing her.

Shadows formed around her fangs, giving her snarl a feral, almost eerie look. Tensing her muscles again, Glass awaited the next move, her red eyes locked on the gashes her claws had left. There's my weak point. She thought, strategizing her next attack with thoughtful eyes.

As he tumbles Taph braces himself for the impact, tucking his arms over his head to protect it from the inevitable fall.
As he hits he bounces off the concrete and comes to a stop in a crumpled heap on the ground.
Fire runs through his body, curiously muted but still battering at him. Pain, he can feel pain and he isn't sure whether to laugh with joy at the proof he's not entirely dead inside or scream at the burning pain of it all.

A pathetic injured whimper leaves his muzzle as he struggles to stand. Everyone of his limbs is aching with pain, even through the hazy pins and needles feeling of his decaying skin. His red eyes squeeze tightly shut as he struggles to move, eventually dragging his aching skull around enough to see what has happened.
His kick had landed, it was the strongest Hi Jump Kick he'd ever used...and it hadn't even bruised the massive four-armed Fighting Type.

He coughs wetly and a fat drop of red blood runs down his chin.

"Glass...Mathias." He weakly croaks as if his words could somehow aid his friends in their fight.
His plumy tail weakly twitches.
One black paw drags across the ground in front of him, trying to claw his way upright. Tears run openly down the young canine's face.
His friends were in danger, he had to help them somehow.
Taph swallows his pain and struggles to move.
He had to help. He had to get up.
Blood forms a ragged wet trail behind him as he forces himself to move.
He believed he could help. He could be hero.

Mathias gets up slowly from getting punched around and grabs something from underneath his wing that he stuck in between. He had the last syringe from the operation room. Then, he heard Taph speak out weakly, but enough to hear. "Glass...Mathias." Mathias rushed to help Taph up and seen the wound. It wasn't serious, but it had caused some pain to run through. He nodded at Taph smiling, a well confident look knowing that he's not going to become a monster. Mathias stared back at the Machamp that Glass was fighting with angrily. In a burst of anger, Mathias shouted out at him. "I can never forgive what you did to Taph and the people that worked here! I won't let you get away with this!"

He was going to charge at him head on, but in order for his plan to work Glass would have to get the Machamp to face him. His tail fire grew larger from his anger. Nothing was going to stop him from dealing the heavy blow. Mathias then winked at Glass that he had only one shot at this. "Glass, I need you to get ready to dodge." He waited for the precise moment to make his move as the two pokemon swap attacks with each other.

A flashback happened just then, it was the time he was just a kid and was in a gym battle. It was his first time visiting the gym and he was up against an onyx. He felt a bit scared at first staring at the massive rock snake, but Leo, who was out of his pokeball at the time helped him out of his fear and gave Mathias the courage he needed. The battle was intense as fire and rock flew through the air. After the dust cleared out the Onyx was down and Mathias was quite a bit dirty, but he successfully defeated a tough opponent. The flashback ended as they was getting closer to the his line of sight. Mathias nodded again at Glass that he's about to attack.

((OoC: Had to think for a while on this post, but final flashback for Mathias.

Glass's eyes flicked between Mathias and the Machamp. Her eyes locked onto the syringe that Mathias was holding. Yes... That's our finisher. If Mathias can get that in the gashes, we can finish this fucker. Glass thought, a growl growing in the back of her throat. When Mathias nodded, Glass lunged, leaping forwards and grabbing one of the arms of their foe. Shifting her weight, she managed to swing the Machamp around so that it was facing Mathias. Letting go, Glass used the momentum to jump beside Mathias. Her Bite attack left a large wound on the Machamp's top right arm, giving them a weak point to throw the acid.

Shadows formed around Glass's claws, pulsing with a purple glow. The Machamp charged up an orange orb with it's arms. Glass narrowed her eyes. She knew that attack, it was the same one the Machamp on Coronet had used on her. Focus Blast. Determination shot through her like an arrow of fire. "There is no way I'm going to lose to this fucker." Glass vowed, the shadows around her claws growing bigger. "Mathias, go for the wounds. That syringe will get into the bloodstream easier, and it'll hurt more." Glass said, powering up her attack to the maximum power, just in case Mathias needed backup.

The fire that seared through his bones is now receding to a cold chill in the very marrow of his bones. Taph thinks one of his teeth may be broken, he can taste his own blood thick and cloying at the back of his throat. His paws twitch as he carefully checks his reflexes. It hurts but he can still move if he tries hard. That must mean none of his bones were broken...he thinks. Trying to stand would be a collossal effort but if he tries hard enough...
Leaving a smear of red across the concrete Taph manages to drag himself up onto all fours. His head is ringing like a struck bell and he feels fuzzy, unable to hear or think properly.
"I do believe in fairies" He says determinedly under his breath.
His breathing is becoming more laboured, he dearly wants to just lie down and rest for a bit but he has to be brave. He has to go and help his friends.

Taph has a hard lump in his mouth, he manages to reach in and pick it out.
It is a jagged lump of yellow-white tooth. Most of it has gone red from where it has broken off and gashed his cheek. He winces and carefully puts his paw into his mouth. He can feel the other part of the broken tooth is still set into his gum. It's pointed rough edges are painful to touch. It's not like it will be growing back any time soon. Closing his eyes tightly he reaches into his open mouth and tugs out the broken tooth. Compared to the pain of his bruised and battered body he can't feel the tooth being pulled at all. Looking at both jagged halves sitting on his palm Taph can see the line where they used to fit together. One chip is missing, right in the center.

Suddenly the sight of the broken and bloodied tooth seems repulsive to him and he tightly clenches his fist. his red eyes flash with anger and he hurls both jagged lumps directly at the Machoke's head.
The tiny lumps of tooth bounce harmlessly off the large Fighting Type's tough skin but it interrupts its focus. With his limbs threatening to give way underneath him Taph manages to kneel.
"Leave them alone!" He screams at it.

Mathias tightened his grip on the syringe and popped the cap off the needle. Glass swung the Machamp around to face Mathias and a gash was on the arm. "Mathias, go for the wounds. That syringe will get into the bloodstream easier, and it'll hurt more." He rushed in with his aerial ace, then stopped short from colliding with him. Jabbing the syringe into the open wound, Mathias injected the acid into it. "I had enough of your damned hatred!" Suddenely, Mathias got knocked into the air and landed on the floor. He watched the Machamp starting tho scream in pain from the acid. Then, an idea came up to hasten the pain further by attacking him. It was time to end his life and with the three of them it should be a lot more easier.

Mathias got up and smiled at both Glass and Taph. "Lets finish this battle and get out of this place." He spread his wings out and went into a fighting stance. As the Machamp's pain steadily continuing, he kept watching him stumble across the floor. Then, Mathias rushed in once again stopping short, but within melee distance. Mathias dodged the incoming punch, but seen a second weakness forming from the injection. The Machamp was disoriented from the poisoning and causing much damage to the muscles. He slashed the bottom right arm causing even more pain and jumped back from getting punched in the stomach. It was a matter of time before their enemy dies.

Glass watched as the acid took effect almost instantaneously. The fighting type dropped, writhing and squirming as the acid ate away the muscle and veins in his arms, slowly working it's way towards the heart. As the acid worked, sinkholes started appearing in the Machamp's arms, craters dipping inwards to show where the acid had eaten everything except the skin, which followed soon after, like when you put a candle to a piece of paper, the paper turned black and then disintegrated. That's what was happening to the Machamp.

Glass took that opportunity and lunged, her jaws closing around the machamp's ravaged arm, connecting with the bone with a sickening crunch. Jumping backwards almost as fast as she had attacked, she quickly got out of the way of a counterattacking-fist. She went to use quick attack, but instead shadows formed around her claws, pulsing subtly. Glass knew this move, she'd been wanting to get it for ages, Sucker Punch. Lucky for her, it seemed this Machamp knew only attacks. Tensing herself for a jump, she watched the others to decide her next move.

The pain has faded away to Taph's surprise. His limbs feel like they have been coated in lead, dragging him down as he tries to move them. A chill has spread through his body and left him curiously numb.
He manages to move slightly. There is a gash underneath his fur, turning the blue hairs red as blood seeps through and smears across the concrete. The Machamp had thrown him hard. In fact if it wasn't for his endurance and the fact he was already dead the impact would have severed his spinal column.
The Riolu's head feels funny as he manages to haul himself upright, perched on trembling legs as the copper taste of blood blooms in his mouth.
It should be the spreading numbness in his arms or the mottled bruising along his spine that concerns him the most, instead it is the space where his missing tooth used to be that he finds most irritating.
Taph's head lolls forwards, the missing fur on his foot obvious around the angry-looking purple tainted wound. His eyes are the color of blood and they have acquired the vibrant near glow of undeath.
He isn't talking now, just wheezing through his yellow fangs as he struggles to remain upright.
His shoulders shake, body convulsing as he forces his deadened limbs into motion and charges in with a Quick Attack.
"I...believe." He hisses through his yellow fangs.
Movement is getting harder, even if the pain has gone (he isn't so sure that is a good thing) his body feels like it has been coated in something heavy. Running is hard, his trembling legs don't seem to want to co-operate and his Quick Attack becomes more of a prolonged shuffle. He bars bloodied teeth as he struggles to force breath into his lungs. With his burning red eyes the sight isn't a welcome one.

Mathias continued his assault on the Machamp in the lobby. He switched each move in every attack in order to keep himself from being grabbed again. Each attack added more wounds to the enemy and more blood kept coming out. After finishing his assault, he attacked with Aerial Ace knocking the Machamp down. Mathias couldn't believe that he couldn't have done it without the acid and Glass' attack. Then, he was shocked that the opponent still got back up from that. The acid had finished its damage, but just enough to keep it in pain. Mathias looked around for any other weaknesses, but no other weaknesses was showing. "You won't stop our escape from this place."
Just as Mathias backed up further, he heard Taph and began to notice his eyes glowing. "I...believe." Taph's words was his courage and Mathias knew that if they was to attack in three different angles this could have a deadly effect and may finish off the enemy. "Glass, Taph, lets end this together." He moved to the left side and was getting ready to use his flamethrower and he was going to do it up close and personal where the flame is the hottest. It was his trump card and his strongest attack he knows. This was the only thing left he hasn't used yet and the effects could be deadly.
His tail fire grew once again and he was planning to rush right in after the others made their attacks. He spread his wings out and was getting into position. There was no stopping them now.

Glass growled loudly, the rumbling sound emanating from her throat with a dangerous threat of disembowelment for her foe. She flicked her red gaze over to Taph, her gaze softening for a moment, a silent momento to protect the kid. You may be an undead kid, but I trust you. It's hard for me to trust another living and even harder to trust an undead. But something about that riolu, it just... Sets me at ease.

Glass had never actually thought about that before. This kid, he may of been small and low leveled, but his heart was that of pure gold. Her determination surged, and the shadows that pulsed around her claws grew, until they were pulsating violently with hatred for their foe. Her gaze switched back to the machamp, and her muscles tensed, waiting for her signal. "Come on Taph, Mathias, lets finish this douche." Her words were laced with venom for the fighting type and she sprung, hatred burning in her eyes.

You're going down bitch. We are going to get out of here and you are not going to stand in our way.

Be brave, be brave, be brave! Taph chants internally as he forces his body into motion. Being brave wasn't about winning or losing, being brave was about fighting for what you believed in no matter what. His opponent was bigger than him and stronger than him...and had nearly killed him again with a single attack.
None of that mattered to him. What mattered was that his friends were in trouble and he was not going to back down this time, even if he was scared. Even if he didn't think he could win he was going to fight for his friends!
Taph manages to move faster, putting his all into this attack.
Fight, fight, fight. Fight and kill.
He bares his yellow fangs and leaps forward with his quick attack. His body practically bounces off the Machamp's thick muscles, the bulk of the fighting type's body is like armor to protect against any normal type attack.
The already injured Riolu is flung backwards as his attack impacts and barely damages the Machamp at all.
Ducking under a swinging fist the size of a sledgehammer Taph digs his fangs deep into the Machamp's muscles and crunches down.
It's no move that would be recognized by a pokemon league match, instead it's a bloody desperate attack bought on by Taph's fury.
You will not hurt them! he thinks as he digs his teeth in deeper, feeling warm blood trickle down the back of his throat.
Bracing his blue furred paws against the blue-grey skin he tears loose a bloodied lump of meat and swallows it down. The blood wetting his chin and staining his teeth tastes wonderful.
It tastes like life.

Mathias watched in shock as Taph dug his fangs into the Machamp. It was the perfect time to move in for the kill. With a flick of his tail, he came in right behind their foe. His claws glowed purple, it happened to be his shadow claw. "This is for all those you had killed, and for hurting Taph!" Mathias stabbed his claws into the Machamp's throat and slashed it deep enough to cause the enemy to drop. The Machamp started laughing and his final words rung into Mathias' head. His final words was you can't escape your fate Mathias. This caused Mathias to unleash his flamethrower on the Machamp's dying body.

The screams of death coming from the Machamp had echoed through the lobby. Mathias quickly slashed the arm off that Taph had a hold of. As the flames enveloped the entire body, Mathias had no regret on his final words to him. "May Arceus have mercy on you and the people you killed." He turned away and walked towards both Taph and Glass. A nod came from him that the fight was truly done. It was an exhausting battle and it left Mathias quite winded along with the other two. "You..did good Taph, I'm proud of you. Same goes for you Glass, you both helped me a lot." Mathias sat down to rest for a bit.

It was finally done. The Fighting type's screams echoed throughout Glass's mind, the terrible caterwauling rang in her ears long after the Machamp was dead. Blood splattered her claws from when her claws had sunk into the machamp's acid ravaged skin. She hadn't even remembered hitting the fighting type. Her Sucker Punch had done more damage than she first thought. The shoulder she had hit was completely ravaged, six long gashes where her claws had sunk into the fighting types flesh burned images in the Disaster Pokemon's eyes. She stood there, staring at the gashes for a long while before Mathias's voice brought her back to the present.

"You..did good Taph, I'm proud of you. Same goes for you Glass, you both helped me a lot." Glass blinked a the voice, unsure at first who it belonged to. Reality came back to Glass slowly as she started making sense of her surroundings. Mathias and Taph were nearby and there was nothing in her way from the exit. We did it... We killed that motherfucker. Glass thought, but it was not a happy thought. She had just killed a living. But, the fighting type had attacked them, right? They were just defending themselves, right? Glass couldn't process the thoughts properly. She needed to get out of here, the smell of blood was clouding her thoughts and red was swimming in her vision.

Glass was starting to feel claustrophobic despite the fact that the lobby was wide open. She had to get out of that place, but she couldn't just leave Taph and Mathias there, could she? Glass was getting dizzy and the smell of the place was making her feel nauseous. Glass could feel her pulse in her temples, the throbbing was giving her a headache. Gritting her teeth against the painful throbbing, Glass stood tall, but her eyes gave away her troubled thoughts.

Forgive? Sounds good. Glass thought, her eyes darkened slightly, the dark type swimming into her thoughts. Forget? I'm not sure I could. Glass desperately wanted to forget this place but with all she'd been through, she honestly didn't think it was possible. They say time heals everything. Glass wondered if she'd ever be able to heal the mental scars that this place had left in her mind. But time would heal them right?

But I'm still waiting... Glass remembered when her father had exiled her from her clan, those scars still gashed her mind with fresh wounds everyday. I'm through with doubt. Glass shut her eyes, a scowl that showed her inner thoughts across her face. There's nothing left for me to figure out. Glass felt her clashing thoughts in her mind. One side was telling her to leave, the other was saying to stay.

I've paid, a price Glass had felt betrayal before and she knew how it felt, she didn't want to leave Taph and Mathias there alone. And I'll keep paying. Glass snapped open her eyes. She wouldn't stay in this hellhole any longer.

She was getting out of there.

((OOC: The lyrics are from this song. It fitted perfectly ;3))
