The SAFARI Team

Leliana noticed how Nuii stopped at the base of the cliff, and seemed to be inspecting it. Leliana realized that it must be very difficult for a Pokemon with hooves to climb the cliff. With steady strides the Garchomp raced down the cliff effortlessly. She had no trouble with rocky surfaces....she fought to keep memories of her life in Mt. Silver from invading her mind. Leliana yearned to forget it all and never look back, but that wasn't possible. Not for her.

Landing on the ground near the Blitzle, Leliana dusted the rocky shards out of her tough skin. "Need a hand?" she asked Nuii sincerely, not as if she was mocking the Blitzle. It was strange to be around someone who had trouble climbing, but that didn't matter anymore.

Undine slithered as fast as she could to where she had seen the survivors, her brain out of controls. "sAve ME..." she screamed, halting to a stop. Her eyes were wide and wild, completely out of control. She got to where the survivors were, ad she stared at them.

Her sight was blurry from her bloody tears, they dripped down her cheek and onto the flattened grass as she stared at them. He tail lashed as a Blizzard grew.

The Blizzard became larger and larger, engulfing the area and a light hue of blue. She slithered towards the cliff, insane.

Kitana was collecting some berries for herself, even though she was slightly used to meat, she was acostumed to eat berries too. Alone and away from the other survivors, she only trusted on herself to surviving. She didn't wanted to rely on others, why take the chance to get betrayed?

Suddenly she heard something "sAvE ME...". Startled, Kitana looked in the direction of the sound, it was the previous infected Milotic...she wanted to be saved? What that ment? Kitana stared at the Milotic slithering around, towards where the other survivors were. She stopped and stared at them before forming a Blizzard, than slithering towards the cliff...

Kitana closed her eyes sighing "It seems that one still had salvation...Although it prefered to put itself out of it's misery...Don't blame that Milotic."

Kide slowly opened his eyes. He didn’t know how long he had been out, but it must have been only for a few moments cause when he came to he was on Nuii’s back. “What happened?” He said in no more then a whisper. He remembered looking for food and then getting really tired. So without wanting to, he must have passed out. He shook his head trying to get rid of his sleepiness when he noticed that they where back at the cliff. Leliana had climbed down offering some help in getting back up. He wouldn’t mind some help, he still felt a little exhausted, but he didn’t want to appear weak. “Thanks for the lift Nuii, but I can take it from here.” He said as he jumped off her back. He stumbled but Nuii managed to stop him from falling over by placing her leg next to him for support. She looked at him with a little worry. “I’m alright, really, just still a little sleepy.” He said trying to form a smile.

Then things started to get cold, and a blast of cold wind mixed with snow and maybe some ice covered them. Even with his thick neck fur he still shuddered under the immense wind. He tried to look in the direction that the wind was coming from, and he saw the familiar figure of the infected Milotic. It seemed that she was back, and Kide didn’t have enough strength left to make an illusion to scare it off. “Of all the rotten luck.” He said through shuddering teeth. He was cold, and frost was started to form on tips of his fur. If something didn’t happen soon they where probably going to freeze to death, and that’s probably what the infected wanted.

Leliana was taken aback by the blasting cold and freezing air; she couldn't stand low temperatures at all! Thankfully, the little Blitzle used a Flame Charge, and being near her Leliana was slightly less freezing. The Garchomp caught sight of that deranged Milotic coming straight towards them......Protect the smaller ones. Leliana knew that's what she had to do; that Milotic could easily attack Kide and Nuii and win, not effortlessly, but there was no difference. Take out the Infected. Leliana wouldn't let any smaller, younger Pokemon be killed, not by cold or the Infected....

That's what she was fighting for.

To protect those not as powerful as her.

Images of her children being devoured assaulted Leliana's mind, and she stepped forward to challenge the Milotic. "Stay back," she warned Nuii and Kide. "I'll take it from here." This time, Leliana meant it.

She was at the top, face to face with the Garchomp. He eyes were blurry from the countless tears streaming down her face. Her eyes were wide and wild. Her tail swayed back and forth, trying to keep her balance.

She stared at the Garchomp, as if she was about to fight, but her pose said differently. She was crouched down, eyes dull, and merely trying to keep her balance on the cliff.

Her eyes closed, her mind buzzing with pain. Her body started rocking dangerously on the side of the cliff, blood from the scrapes on her skin staining the dead grass. "I...."

She fell.

She was falling at a dangerous speed, her eyes were wide as she felt her massive weight make her go faster. Then it was it.

She felt a stone pillar pierce her body.

Her eye's went glassy and dull, blood pouring out of her fatal wound. Her breath was shallow as she gave a cough.

She was dead.

Kitana thought weird it took the Milotic to end her fate...would she have doubts on commiting suicide? But than again...Infected aware of their condiction...infected wanted to end their torment and curse...was that even possible? Hard to explain, hard to know, hard to understand. Yet Kitana felt pitty on the situation the Milotic was..."The world is cruel...and in a cruel world, only chance can save us..." she sighed.

To not attract much attentions, Kitana warped herself in her own illusions making herself look a female human with long red hair tied in a pony tail, tanned skin color and wearing a black top, gray pants. She felt confortable like that...And possibly not much attention would be dragged to her...Her power was her greatest weapon and there was nothing for her to live for besides herself.

Kide was surprised by the sudden death of the infected Milotic. He didn’t expect what just happened, to happen. It was dead, and no one got heart cause of it. He was still shivering though. Frost was still visible on his fur, but it was only a matter of time before it melted and he wormed up again. Though he wouldn’t mind a nice fire to lie next to, just to warm him up a little faster. But he didn’t think any of these pokemon knew how to start a fire, he didn’t really know how to start one himself. So he would just have to wait for the sun to rise in the morning to warm him up. At lest now he would probably be able to get a good sleep.

Kide was about to head to the head back to the cave when he got a tingling feeling in his fur. At first he though it was just that he was starting to warm up, but it felt different somehow. So instead of the cave, he walked to the edge of the forest and looked out. His body felt like it was about to burst. It must he that other illusionist. Wherever it may be it must be using its illusions. That was probably what was giving him that strange feeling. The others would probably think he was nuts, or starting to go insane, but he decided to call out. “Hello!?” There was no reply. It was ether that it didn’t hear him or it was just ignoring him. But he continued to call out to whoever was out there. “I know you’re out there! Why are you hiding from us!?” Still nothing. He started to think that it really was the cold, maybe he was only wishing for something that wasn’t really there.

Kitana heard something..."I know you’re out there! Why are you hiding from us!?" she looked around trying to see where it was comming from...nothing, maybe was just her imagination, an ilusion from hers gone out of control, so many things that could've been. She kept treating of her things before taking a final look...there she noticed 2 pokemon in the distance.

Not letting the illusion that she was a human fade, she looked at them wondering if were they the ones who called, it seemed they didn't saw her, but she could recognize that they were from Unova and she could recognize the Zorua easily...someone could identify when an illusion would spawn, this would prove difficult for Kitana to keep her identity hidden.

Kide kept looking out into the forest. Looking around for the slightest movement. He spotted something over in the corner of his eye, and knew right away that it was the illusionist. But merely grinned and spoke in a voice laud enough for the other pokemon to hear him, “I see you, so you cant hide any longer.”

He turned around and looked over his shoulder to where the Zoroark was lurking. He let out a hmp and turned around and picked up the leaf of food, the proceeded to climb the cliff to the cave. Once he got to the top he went to the tip of the cliff edge and took in a deep breath. Kide then shouted in a laud voice, “Cowered!” He still had the same smug look on his face. Anyone who was too scared to come and talk was a cowered in his book.

Kide let out a sigh then turned and walked over to the cave. He picked out a spot at the far corner of the cave, where there was less wind blowing. He wished he had something to sleep on instead of the cold ground, but he was too sleepy to go out and get anything at the moment. He would go out in the morning to get some leaves grass, and maybe some soft feathers and make a bed for himself. He let out a yawn and curled up on the spot, and then he drifted into sleep.

Kitana stared at the Zorua, as it left. She went back to work shrugging off the being. Eventually wouldn't bother her. As long as she could keep everyone away...she wanted to be alone as only misery was dragged into anyone close to her...like a trainer suffered.

She kept on her work when she heard the Zorua shout Coward! The small creature wasn't know it was playing with blazing fire. Irritated Kitana ignored...for now, as she knew that it was useless to fight with a child. She walked back to her shelter and laid down hoping her dreams wouldn't be plagued with Nightmares.

Kide woke to the sun just starting to rise. It had a good night sleep and felt refreshed. Leiliana and Nuii, where asleep a little ways off, which didn’t bother him. He walked out of the cave to let the sun warm him up. The frozen parts of his fur had melted while he slept, but he still liked the sun on his face. He started to wander what they where going to do for breakfast, even though they had more important things they could be doing like searching for other survivors in the zone, but food came first. There was still the fish and bananas he brought back the day before, so he went and took one of the fish to eat.

The fish didn’t have much of a taste to it, but at lest it filled his stomach. When he was finished he licked his lips and looked back out at the zone. He knew there was someone else out there, but they would come to them when they found the time right, for now he might as well wake the others before they slept the day away. He ran over to them and started to tap them. “Its time to wake up now, the sun is up and we have a lot of work to do.”

After the last day, Kitana decided that she needed to work less and attempt to enjoy her stay in Safari Zone, her trainer said it was normally considered a paradise for pokemon.

Kitana thought for a moment where to go...she decided probably the swamp area could be safe enough, it was a 50/50 chance of a infected attack. Although the chances of winning were way different since Kitana was well fed and rested, she would eventually have the "upper claw".

Every were NightMare walked, he left a trail of burnt foliage, this new area was no exception. Once upon a time he would have his flames under control, but no, he could care less if the whole world got reduced to ashes, as long as he could run and eat, that was all that mattered. He could not smell, but he knew there were pokemon around, they were not good at hiding their tracks, he would find them and show them how weak they are compared to a true Nightmare.

He set off running, naturally using his Flame Charge as the elegant discolored flames danced around him and transferred to nearby trees. The weak pokemon would run from the fire, and that was when he would strike. NightMare gave off a blood thirsty cry that echoed far through the area, the first step of any good hunt was to instill fear, “You can’t run from a NightMare.”

The Swamp was calm and nice, there wasn't anyone or anything in there. Kitana could finally rest. She sitted near the water putting her feet inside trying to rest her feet after the work she had, nothing would be better than rest for sometime after on going war with infected and trouble with hidding herself.

But...this calm didn't last...From afar she smelled something, a strange scent slightly unnatural and that she had only felt when she was with her trainer. Fire...Something was spreading fire through the Safari Zone. Closing her eyes she started to think what could possibly be...A human gone crazy? Humans trying to burn Safari Zone to make sure no infected would attempt to escape? A pokemon with pyromania? Or an Infected?...If infected can't control themselves, what chances there are that they control their own powers?

((OOC: Skip my turn please...there's nothing for me to do when my character is at a certain distance from all the rest.))

NightMare halted in its stamped to the middle of the area, he had heard something while running, but with the air rushing past him it was hard to hear. It was distant, but in this area sound traveled well, it was the sound of an rock slide ,if it be natural or pokemon made, there was no telling, but the possibility made NightMare’s skinless mouth grin, a dark and sinister grin with its skeleton mouth. Today, he would be feasting on prey, if they tried to intimidate him with the rockslide, they would see how wrong that decision was, and if it happened by accident, then there must have been a pokemon there to have been trapped in the rocks, easy prey did not appeal to him as much as the thrill of the hunt, but food was food.

The flames wrapped around him once again as he got ready to set off to the mountains, the smell of burning hairs and flesh would be over powering if his nose still worked, but the fire no longer hurt, so he could care less. Eventually the fire he once thrived on and lived in harmony with would consume him and leave him a mass of bones and ash, but as long as he got to eat and hunt, he didn’t care what got burned. NightMare set off on a sprint, the added effect of the second Flame Charge taking effect and boosting his speed, he will get there soon, and when he did, the hunt will begin.

Kitana heard a loud sound echoing through the Safari Zone...a large rock pokemon? A huge fight? A rock slide? Kitana's curiosity was growing to the reason of such unnatural sound. She got herself up and ran towards the large rumbling.

As she was running some scent arrived to her...Something was burning as if it was the whole clearing of Safari Zone. Confused the Illusion Fox stopped and looked around...in the distance she saw something, a huge sea of flames going towards the mountain area, and in the middle of the fire there was a pale horse with parts of it's skeleton showing. Kitana growled loudly, it was without a doubt an infected. She started to run towards the same key-point of the infected...

No more hidding after being called a Coward...It's all or nothing and Kitana had a lot to give, specially towards the Infected of the Epidemic!

Kide couldn’t believe the sudden death of Nuii. He just found it hard to believe. Killed by a boulder. He didn’t know her enough to feel any real connection to her, but he still felt sad by her death. And he didn’t know where Leiliana had gotten off to. Once again he was all alone. He looked down at his paws; a tear ran down his face. He was surprised by it, feeling sad by something like this, he should very much already be used to being alone. Maybe he could locate that Zoroark. But he wasn’t sure. After all, if it wanted company it would have come to them right from the start.

He shook his head, trying to clear out any sad thoughts. He didn’t care if the Zoroark wanted his company or not, he was going to find it. And if he needed to he could easily use his illusion to make himself appear bigger then he really was. He grinned as he commenced his search for the Zoroark. Once again he was traveling through the safari zone alone. He finally had a goal in this epidemic, to find that Zoroark. He just hoped that whomever they where, they wouldn’t try to kill him. He wasn’t ready to except death, not just yet.
