|History||Bred for the specific coat of spots and stripes, the snow bengal Espurr was a success for chain breeders. The group of men and women having spent years breeding Espurr and Persian and Liepard among other cats, all to get her white coat and silver stripes. But though she was prized, the Espurr along with a hand full of brothers, they were merely prizes to be sold and have a profit made. One of her brothers was kept, to continue breeding for even better spots, white the other Espurr were advertised and shipped off. The kit knew nothing of the world, not even old enough to have her eyes open as she was sent to another temporary home. The group of men were in charge of raising the Espurr to be well behaved and then sell them for a profit, but as weeks passed and turned to months, the people grew lazy and gradually left the kits to fend for themselves. Weaned off of bottle milk, the Espurr were all almost immediately given straight cat food, but it was tough on the babies and they struggled. After a time the men just threw bags of food on the ground, not caring how it was received, and even just used the cheapest Growlithe food they could find. The kittens struggled and grew temperamental, behaving in animistic feral ways. Growling and biting became common, especially when food was thrown on the floor. |
When the time came to work on trading the exotic Espurr for cash, the foster parents were unable to make them appear desirable, being a given. They grew frustrated, the kittens now losing them money instead of being sold for a high price. After a few weeks of straight failure, they gave up, and just traded for the best deal they could get their claws on. By then very much a toddler, Seda was then thrust into the arms of an older woman. She put the baby in a cage and took her home straight to her daughter, a spoiled, unpleasant child. Forced out of the cave, Seda mewed softly only to be shushed by the kid, dismissed. It was then that she was introduced to the only constant thing in her life; Cyrielle. The Dratini was not much older than the Espurr herself, and the kitten reached out to her tentatively. So far no one had shown her caring, and she naturally craved it. When the small serpent reciprocated her friendship, the kitten became overjoyed.
Years passed, and not much changed. The adults of the house did nothing but buy food for the pair, the girl never caring about them, but it was okay. Seda grew attached to Cy in the coming years, bonding to the dragon on a deep level as they enjoyed each other's presence. On their own when it came to entertainment, the two got into the usual childlike mischief as they grew up together, but life was not entirely that bad. Seda kept to the confines of the house more often than not, feeling afraid at leaving the home by herself. However after a few years things changed, and Cy was taken away a few times a week to be trained by a paid Ace trainer. At first they were confused, and Seda grew worried. What was going on and where was her friend? But each day it happened the Dratini returned, tired but unharmed. But as it grew into a regular thing...Seda's nerves grew frayed and splintered as the years went on. Every time Cyrielle left through the doors, the Espurr would hide. She would whimper and wail, becoming inconsolable as the rest of the family screamed for her to shut up, the kitten withdrew farther into herself. Panic attacks were common, her body taking a beating from the extreme stress whenever her only tie to happiness left. Her mood was only remedied and happy again whenever she returned.
One day, when both were considerably older, Cy returned home, but she was not herself, she was a Dragonair! From that time on, Seda claimed her own perch upon her best friend's head. Seda felt so safe with her Dragonair friend around, everything felt okay when they were together. Life was at it's peak and the kitten couldn't have been happier. But a short time afterwards, things went horribly wrong. Rumors surfaced and the family began looking at their trophy Pokemon with fear. After a few days they were simply released, roughly forced out of the house and driven away. Seda had no idea what was going on, but rapidly after they encountered their first undead. The rotting corpses and blood stained eyes terrified the pair alike. They only escaped with the power of flight Cy provided. The pair has kept close as the apocalypse continued, Seda never leaving her best friend's side, and thus far, they have been incredibly lucky. But at one point they found themselves going through Johto, the worst part of the land hit, and sought refuge in the fabled Ilex Forest.
|Appearance|| "Espurr is a small, bipedal, feline Pokémon. Its fur is mussed and a pale grey color with the exception of its ears—which are cream-rimmed—and its paws, which have short cream socks. It has wide, annular lilac eyes with darker purple pupils. It has a small, triangular nose and tiny mouth. It has a small, fluffy, slightly curled tail. Its ears, quite large in proportion to its body, are folded- beneath them are two ring-shaped buff-colored organs. These organs emit Espurr's intense psychic powers, and said power would leak out were the ears not sheltering the organs. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen on its upper jaw. Espurr are solitary in the wild; they act on their own and each values its independence."|
Seda looks very different than her average kind. Still only a child, she shows signs of youth with extra soft fur and large ears and eyes. While only a kit, she prefers to stand on all fours, although she is capable of walking upright.
Her fur is a soft cream, adorned with spots and stripes of grey and tan. Bearing the exotic fur of rare off bred cat Pokemon in the mountains, she was specifically bred for her spotted coat. Her eyes are a soft, clear crystal blue, often bearing the famous Espurr blank stare.
Sassy, bossy, stubborn-- believes she is always right and will fight verbally on it (though she is only a kid really and is not above resorting to "I'm just right 'cause. That's why.")
Bashful, prideful, aloof, not slick- when trying to hide a mistake or pretend something doesn't affect her she tends to make it all the more obvious and just ruin her case for herself
Childlike, naive, can be bratty
Sensitive, worried, caring, awkward-- very quiet, soft voice normally(grows into a wail when distressed)
Very catlike, purrs, mews, paws, prefers to meow as opposed to speaking
Clingy with Cy, always by her side, grows anxious and upset/panics when separated, separation anxiety
Playful, friendly, happy, dorky, cute
Calm, bold, fearless, confident, undeterred
With stranger/separated from Cy:
Panicked, anxious, irrational, terrified, flustered, fight-or-flight mentality
Defensive, insecure, prone to violence, cries loudly, not able to think clearly
|User Notes|| -Made alongside Skyra's Dragonair, Cyrielle.|
-Based off of my own cat.
-Moves were chain bred and passed down from a Meowstic father. She is a pure bred Espurr.
