I don't understand how to make a character. I am not really good at understanding this.
Edit: just wanted to add: I want my character to be a Lucario.

Thanks. Also fix the links for the character sheet downloads. The word one lead to the notepad one, the notepad one leads to dual notepad, and the dual word one leads to a non-excising file. I'll just use the breakdown though.

I was wondering if there's a way to get past the "suspicious activity" page that blocks you from logging in? I was just on my phone on EJ to try and post but the battery ran out, so instead I'm using Keishu's phone. I try to log in but a page appears telling me there's been suspicious activity on my account, and even though I fill out the form it refuses to let me log in. ;;
Is there a way to solve this? I was trying to post for Fortree so I wouldn't get a death warrant but it seems I can't get on now. VmV

I've actually got some other questions (whose answers do not seem to be in the FAQ).
How do Pokemon age in this RP? I understand that animals age faster than humans, and I'd like to know if Pokemon age similarly (for example, does it take two years to reach adolescence or young adulthood in Pokemon? Do psychics age differently from water types or ground types?) This is primarily because I'd like to figure out whether a character who is a young adult would be an adolescent in the previous years.
How are levels represented in-character? Do Pokemon actually say that they're level 20 or 45, or do they just say that they've had some experience in battle?

Pokemon, like real animals, have varying lifespans.
Instead of saying 'two years old,' you can simply state whether they're child, young adult, etc, to keep it simple.
As for what types age differently, it varies species to species.
I would suggest researching the individual pokemon, to see what canon tells you about it.
But if you can't find any information that way, everyone here is free to help you in that.

Levels are represented as skill and battle experience. It's not really stated what level they're at in RP, since that's a more technical thing from the games.
Just keep their level in mind when fighting in the teams, as a character with a low level would undoubtedly do terribly in battle.

Last (pre-character posting) questions, I promise!
How do I get into the chatroom? I checked the rules, but the password doesn't seem to be there. I'd like a faster way to ask questions, get opinions and learn about the community than this.
Also, are posts in the past or present tense? I'm assuming present for my character's bio, so correct me if I'm wrong please.

There are two chatboxes: one is the tinychat and the second is the primary chat at the bottom of the page.
The password for the tinychat will be given to you by a mod in primary chat. It isn't to be posted in the guests area, for chat protection.

As for present or past tense, most members choose present tense.

My character's just been accepted, and now I'm unsure as to how to go about RPing. In the previous sites I've been to, you could just create your own topic, but I'm assuming that it doesn't work this way here due to how organized it all is. I thought people were supposed to be assigned to certain topics, but the only note Mewtwo made when approving me was "accepted". Where on the site should I RP?

Your character was placed on the Olivine team. You will make your posts in its RP thread.
You can get to there from the New Johto section in The Adventure Begins .

The Olivine Teamsheet shows the order everyone in your team will post in. Your the sixth in rotation, after the Charizard. The Cyndaquil posted last making it not quite your turn yet, so watch the RP thread carefully for when it is. c:

I was reading over the rules again, but something is a little unclear...


In the rules page, it mentions that Rookies will be placed into the Colosseum where they would have to do a 25-round test roleplay to see how they do before being promoted and put on a team...

However, the link that is supposed to go to the rules and regulations for the Colosseum simply says that one of the Rookie's character(s) will be placed into an Ace team, where they must make 25 posts before being reviewed by an admin to see if they may be promoted to Ace.


Does this mean that there isn't a Colosseum, and that a Rookie simply needs to join a team and 'pass' inspection after 25 posts?

Hello, I recently joined and I'm waiting for admin approval! c: But I have a question about ranking up. I may have missed this when I was reading the rules, if so, please forgive me.

I see that you have to make 25 posts in a team to rank up, however, the only teams I see are either Elite or Ace. What teams are there for the Rookies? Or did I miss something about ranking? ^-^;

I'm Vince, one of the older active members on the site and the ranking Admin Zapdos. : ) I am so pleased that you took the time to read the ranking rules so thoroughly, but they have actually changed drastically in the last six months! You will start off as Rookie, but you can join any open Ace Team. Rookie teams no longer exist. You will be allowed one character!

The ways to rank up are either requesting evaluation at ten posts, or you can do a writing promp that Mew will give you where you have three days time to respond. I will then judge it and either give you Ace or have you stay Rookie until ten posts in role play so I may evaluate you in action. It is totally up to you how you wanna go about it and there is no rush, just stick to as your comfortable!

We also have a skype group chat of 22+ people, the most friendly and active members on here as well as almost all staff members. We just chat casually, and usually we do group calling every other day or so. It's a great way to get to know people and plan plot with characters on the team(s) you join, so I highly suggest it if you're up for it! Message me or Mew about it if you're interested, and again, welcome to EJ!
