    Mt. Silver| Night (16)

That pup with the blindfold was unsettling to Lola. She found herself confused as to how to act around him. On the one hand, she sort of felt sorry for the thing, being blinded or having eye damage and forced to wear a blindfold, and she was glad he was nice, and helpful in the fact that he was willing to carry Scarlet for a while. But on the other hand, this one seemed real demons in the closet. She had absolutely no clue what to make of the situation, and she was the one witnessing it first hand, a random voice, the pup talking to the thing, and pure negativity of the thing all left her with a sour taste. For now she decided on be careful around the pup until they were not running for their lives from a flock of undead until she could figure out how to deal with him. “It’s okay sugar, plus, Scarlet would freak out if she woke up in a stranger’s arms” She said trying to keep her calm about the whole demon voice thing.

And then Oliver…..That growlithe will be the death of her. Out of nowhere he jumped off the tauros’s back and made a mad dash to the middle of the fight that Yoru most likely stayed behind for just to help them escape. She wanted to both smack him outside the head for scaring her so much and hug and never let go all at the same time as she saw him running off. She understood that he was most likely at that age where they wish to prove themselves to the world, and come of age, but most of them think they are invincible too, they don’t understand the dangers that could happen.

She wanted nothing more than to go over there and drag that growlithe back and reprimand him on his recklessness, but he had Scarlet to look after. “Mister Pyth, I’mma have to ask a favor from you. Will you make sure that boy doesn’t get himself killed? Or if not, can you at least look after Scarlet so I can go over there and drag those two fools back?” She barely knew this Tauros, and really shouldn’t be in a place to ask him, but she was desperate at the moment, that cloud of undead were many in numbers…

    Outside Mt. Silver| Night (12)

As the pup leaped off his back, Pyth nearly stopped in his tracks, but kept running, shooting a glance over at the Miltank and Ralts.
I can't leave them...he growled as he shook his head angrily.
Protect the youngest and females first...the old rule rang in his head over and over as he listened to his hoofbeats echoing in his ears. As they reached the bottom, Lola turned to him.

“Mister Pyth, I’mma have to ask a favor from you. Will you make sure that boy doesn’t get himself killed? Or if not, can you at least look after Scarlet so I can go over there and drag those two fools back?” The Miltank said in her usual drawl. Pyth couldn't believe his ears- despite the seriousness of the situation, he wanted to laugh at the sheer guts this cow had. All the females he had known were either snooty or paranoid beyond logical thought.
She's right...but...The Tauros looked down at the ground, then back up at her face.
"No, you stay here. Get to the treeline and STAY HIDDEN." He snorted, turning on his hooves. "Be careful." He muttered over his shoulder as he charged back up the hill.
As he reached the ledge where they had broken off from the herd, he saw body parts, long decayed, strewn about. He whipped his back with his tails, working himself into a rage as he charged ahead.
The Tauros leaped over the outcropping of rocks, bellowing as he landed next to the Umbreon. Enraged, he stamped at the ground and tossed his head angrily.
The bull charged with all his power, plowing right through the infected Machoke ahead of him, impaling the creature and smashing it against a boulder. Pyth roared again as he felt the collision reverberate through his whole body, relishing the shriek of the struggling beast on his horn. The Machoke used his fists against the bulls' heavily muscled back, but Pyth felt none of it. He pulled himself back a few paces and charged again, tearing the pokemon in half on impact. The gore dripped down his face as both halves fell to his feet, writhing and howling.

"RRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!" The Machoke yowled. "RRRREEEELLLEEEEEEEAAAASSE!!" Its eyes were on fire with rage, its body in a bad state of decay as the thing grabbed his front leg in desperation.
But the Tauros didn't see the monster- he saw his herd, panicked, the calves getting trampled by their own mothers, the monsters dividing them and picking them off one at a time without reason.
    Gladly.
Without hesitation, he reared back on his hind legs and brought his front hooves down on the creatures head with a heavy splat. Pyth snorted angrily as he trampled what was left of the creature into the unforgiving ground of the mountain, his hooves becoming slick with blood.

    Outside Mt. Silver| Night (17)

The mountainside suddenly becme chotic as Yoru's friends jumped into the fray beside him. Tears welled in his eyes by their courage and with renewed strength, he leaped atop a ridge to land on top of a Fearow that was diving towards Oliver. Landing on the bird, Yoru found his paws covered in slick blood that oozed from its gaping back. The Fearow let out a shrill screech that pierced the air as Yoru drove it into the snow beneath, his claws holding it down. Fury filled Yoru while he charged his Shadow Ball attack and the world around him grew fuzzy as his mind went elsewhere.

Straining to see, Yoru found himself in a forest coated in dew from a new morning. Blinking, he turned in a circle and found himself face to face with a female Umbreon. "Tryce, but you're dead" His soft voice murmured in disbelief to her as she nodded her head sadly. Placing her left front paw on his shoulder, Tryce looked straight into his crimson eyes. "Yes my love I am dead but you must not dwell on that fact. You must live. For me, your team, and our daughter." Tryce turned and motioned behind her and Yoru watched in disbelief as a sleek Vaporeon came over to join her mother and father. Shyly, she stepped forward and nuzzled Yoru softly, her tail wagging happily. Yoru, with more tears in his eyes, kissed his daughter softly before nuzzling Tryce. "I love you both. We will see each other again." His voice faded from his mind and Yoru snapped back to reality with energized courage as he killed the Fearow swiftly.

Turning to his two team members, Yoru spoke in a tone full of bravery and leadership. "Get to the trees as best you can," His voice, picked up by the wind, carried to those who weren't fighting. "we will hold them off while we can and then join you. When you reach the treeline, give us a signal. I have a plan."

    Outside Mt.Silver/Night (23)

Things were going better than the young Growlithe had expected. Not only him, but Pyth had joined in the fight too! The powerful Tauros easily took down a Machoke as Oliver watched in admiration. He wanted to be as big and mighty as that one day. Yoru then proceeded to attack a large Fearow that was swooping in on him. Turning back to the Pinsir that he had knocked over and noticing it getting to its feet and screeching in rage, Oliver immediately obeyed Yoru's words: "Get to the trees as best you can. We will hold them off while we can and then join you. When you reach the treeline, give us a signal. I have a plan."

He couldn't help who Yoru was referring to by 'we', but he nodded and turned to Pyth. "Come on, Mr Pyth, let's get out of here," he said, giving Yoru one last look before darting back down the path towards Lola and Scarlet.

"Sorry for scaring you, Miss Lola," Oliver said upon seeing the Miltank's panic-striken face. "Mr Yoru said to go to the trees. So let's go!" As he ran a huge sense of pride washed over him. He'd done it: he'd succeeded in protecting his friends and, most importantly, he'd confronted his fear to the Infected. His father would've been so proud of him...

    Outside Mt.Silver|Night

Scarlet suddenly felt extreme dark energy hit her from the sides, it wasn't like the demons. No it scared her just as much though as she heard the unfamiliar voice crack through her skull. It wasn't speaking to her but someone of who's name she didn't know.
In the real world she cried out as the dark essence spoke and her grip got tighter. The anger and hatred that pounded against her due to the darkness was joined by Oliver's pride, he had done something great apparently, Lola's worry, Yoru's concern and sadness, the others she didn't know well enough and was scared to touch upon.
The little ralts wriggled in her sleep as she knew was chased, The demon bit at her the dark voice hissed. She wanted to wake up but fatigue made it hard.

Fight them! a voice shouted at her, she recognized it as her own. Scarlet opened her eyes and they glowed. The demons around her whimpered in pain and went out in puffs.

In the real world Scarlet had opened her eyes and her eyes glowed with the attack of confusion. Though where it was aimed at was unknown, anything that she'd perceived as a threat in the dream world most likely.

When her eyes stopped glowing she wrapped her arm around Lola and shook fearfully.

She was washed with overwhelming relief as Pyth did not shut down her request, she honestly thought when he paused slightly that he would ignore her and do whatever he wanted like all the other tauros she had meet, but when he agreed to protect Oliver she let go of a breath she did not she was holding. He told her to stay hidden in the trees, but she didn’t need to be told that, she was going to make sure Scarlet and even this odd poochyena pup stayed safe. “Come on….er, Stravos was it?” she had not heard him introduce himself, but she had heard that shadow voice thing call him that, and whether that was his real name or not she was not certain of.

Lola rushed over to the line of trees, looking from behind a tree as the other males of the group fought both bravely and foolishly. It was brave of them to defend their friends and fight, but incredibly stupid to try to take down a mob of undead. Poor Scarlet was shaking incredibly in her sleep, even wiggling around in her grasp causing Lola to shift her in her arms to keep the lass from falling out of her arms. She had been too busy both keeping Scarlet in her arms and watching the boys wondering if any minute they would get hurt that she had taken notice of the rest of her surroundings. When she felt the hairs on her back rise slightly, so when she quickly looked behind her she was surprised to see an indead Golbat hanging in midair, stopped mere inches away from her by a confusion attack. She quickly used a few wake-up slaps on it to finish it, but she had sure to cradle Scarlet and whisper to her, “Such a good girl” and other words of thanks and encouragement, for it would have been the end of her if it was not for this Ralts.

When she brought her attention back to the fighting she saw Oliver running towards her. Lola had a full speech thought up to give him about his recklessness, but couldn’t give it to him, he immediately asked for forgiveness for worrying her and she could not keep her anger against that, not even the slightest hint of it. She simply nodded and ran after the growlithe, hoping that the umbreon knew what he was doing.

Pyth snorted as he tried to let the rage he had built up slowly dissipate.
"Get to the trees as best you can, we will hold them off while we can and then join you. When you reach the treeline, give us a signal. I have a plan." The glowing Umbreon said, his voice strong.
The Tauros cocked his head to the side in puzzlement.
"We?..." He asked, his gruff voice barely audible.

"Come on, Mr Pyth, let's get out of here!" The small canine said as he dashed down the side of the mountain. Pyth glanced down at the retreating young one before turning his gaze back to the Umbreon. He wanted to ask more, but it was clearly not the time.

"You better come back to us in one piece. It's not smart doing things alone." He grumbled, turning his heavy head and trotting back down the mountain, meeting the bovine and small canines down near the treeline. He could tell that Lola had been worried, but he was grateful to see they were all still together and safe. As he passed her, he gave her a respectful nod.
She's got a good head. He thought, letting a small grin grow on his usually grim face. It soon disappeared as he realized that he was dripping with blood.
The poor woman must think I'm psychotic...he thought, lowering his head in embarrassment.
Looking back towards where Yoru was, he barked an order at the young pup.
"Hey kid, why don't you signal him with some sort of flame? Just a small one, straight up into the air." He said, not looking down. "Not anything fancy, we don't want to start the forest on fire."

Outside Mt. Silver | Night (18/1)

Yoru watched his friends get a bit away before he turned back around, his crimson eyes gleaming and a smile plastered upon his face. Three undead stood before him, a Meganium, Vileplume, and another Fearow, its wings too tattered to keep it in the air. A glowing Yoru had only seen once before began off in the distance but still a ways off as Yoru struck out at the Fearow who was closest. Using Protect on his self, Yoru shot forward, a swift aimed at the Fearow's throat. Catching it off guard, he struck it hard and cleanly but it managed to still live with half of its neck sliced clean. Turning back around, Yoru barely dodged its steel wing attack as it sliced through the air and he took that moment to aim Shadow Ball at the rest of its neck and this time, the Fearows body tumbled to the ground in a heap of gore. Panting and exhausted Yoru looked to the other undead and realized finally that he couldn't do this alone but the glowing was getting closer and closer and his smile grew wider in expectation as to what was growing near.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

As she strode down Victory road, her flames glowed iridescently in the darkness that blanketed her. Only when she heard the sounds of a battle off in the distance did she kick her trot into a ground-eating gallop that exerted little energy from her muscular body. As she rounded a corner she could see faint red glowing far in front of her and her eyes widened in shock as she recognized the glowing red bands of Yoru, her friend from long ago. Interwoven throughout her glimpses of his red, she saw other lights that told her he was attacking and she kicked her speed up a notch, getting closer and seeing the decapitated body of the Fearow he had killed and just how exhausted he was. Smiling briefly to him, Armonia turned her sights on the Meganium and Vileplume, her anger almost tangible in the air. Yoru was lucky she came along, he probably couldn't handle both of them on his own.

Shaking her head, she snorted a challenge to the two undead as they drew near her. Kicking her hooves against the ground, she reared up and brought her hooves back down to the ground with a large thud and a splash of blue flame. Snorting once again, Armonia's whole body was suddenly and intensely engulfed in her blue and purple flames and she surged foward colliding with the Meganium and turning around to watch the grass-type quiver from the force of the attack and then fall to the ground where it finally was still. Smirking she then turned to the Vileplume which hissed eerily to her and she wondered suddenly how it had managed to do so but quickly pushed the thought aside as she readied her next and most powerful attack. Breathing in, a deep blue glow resonated inside of her throat and she exhaled with a massive burst of blue energy to use Inferno on the Vileplume which, by the time her attack was done, was nothing more then ash on the ground. Shaking her mane of fire, she turned back towards Yoru and trotted to him as he stood awestruck at her power. "What? You've never seen the leader of a Rapidash herd fight before?" She smirked and bent to nuzzle him gently. "I've missed you my friend." She smiled into his face and exhaled softly with a laugh.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Smiling up at her, Yoru laughed a gentle laugh and shook his head in disbelief. "Who would of thought we would meet again? I would love to catch up but we need to get back to my friends. Come on, I'll introduce you." Yoru turned and began heading down the cliff side towards the treeline with renewed hope in his step while Armonia trudged down behind him, careful where to place her hooves. As they neared the treeline Yoru padded right beside Armonia and smiled to his friends. "Everyone, I would like you to meet Armonia. She is an old friend of mine." Armonia nodded her head softly in a gentle greeting as her violet eyes swept over the group. She couldn't help but envy how they looked to Yoru and she suddenly missed her herd. "It's nice to meet you." Her soft and melodic voice seemed to swim through the air to each and every one of them.

    Route 28/Night (24)

"Hey kid, why don't you signal him with some sort of flame? Just a small one, straight up into the air," Pyth said as he, Oliver, Lola and Scarlet reached the safety of the trees. "Not anything fancy, we don't want to start the forest on fire."

Oliver nodded, his pink tongue lolling as he panted from the effort of running so quickly. He was about to do as he'd been told when he spotted Yoru running down the path towards them with a beautifully-coloured Rapidash trotting along beside him. Oliver stared in wonder not only at her wonderful flames but how she was even there. Who was she? Did Yoru know her?

"Everyone, I would like you to meet Armonia. She is an old friend of mine," Yoru then said, answering Oliver's question for him. The little Growlithe's tail began to wag at the excitement of yet another new friend! And she was so beautiful too; he could barely keep his eyes away from her sky-blue flames. Why were they that colour?

    "It's nice to meet you."

Oliver's tail was wagging a mile a minute even though he was still panting. He looked up at Armonia and smiled warmly, but wearily. "Hi Miss Armonia, my name is Oliver ... I really like the colour your flames," he added shyly. I wish my fire was as pretty as that.

    Route 28| Night

"Such a good girl." Scarlet woke up to that praise, she had helped fight off one of those demons. She felt a small sense of pride from that but it might just be the fact that she was so relieved to be out of the nightmare. She looked over at the new comer 'Stravos?' she must've heard the name somewhere. But the darkness that surronded him made her look away from him, she was scared. That was the same big monster that had tried to kill her in her dream. She settled with curling up in Lola's arms and trying to ignore all other presence except hers.

When Pyth and Oliver came back she was estatic to see that they where safe. She wanted some more familiar feelings to surrond her. To block out the others. She quickly noticed something though.

    "Where is Yoru?" she asked.

"Hey kid, why don't you signal him with some sort of flame? Just a small one, straight up into the air." Pyth said, not looking down. "Not anything fancy, we don't want to start the forest on fire."

Scarlet tilted her head, fire... what was that? She thought back on The colors that had come from Oliver's mouth, the same one that had eaten the tree back before. Her memory was hazy already of that time. So fire was the hot bright colors. She hmmed as she thought this all through figuring it out as much as she could.

A sense of joy made her blink out of her thoughts and she spotted Yoru. She smiled brightly and waved, if it wasn't for Lola's grip she probably would've run over. But something else kept her from going over, another non-demon. She had fire on her back, but this one was odd, it wasn't orange and yellow, it was blue and lighter. Scarlet hid in her scarf nearly covering her entire body with the old thing. Those colors reminded her of the first demon, and she was already unsettled enough from the dream.

"Everyone, I would like you to meet Armonia. She is an old friend of mine," Yoru said.

"Hi Miss Armonia, my name is Oliver ... I really like the colour your flames," He liked the color? Scarlet prefered the orange flames that he made. They seemed much more... warm.

Oliver's happiness at a new friend calmed Scarlet down enough so that she gave a meek smile herself from behind her security blanket.

"Hi Miss Armonia, my name is Scarlet" She said, a bit muffled, but she tried to copy Oliver's greeting since it sounded right.

    Outside Mt.Silver| Night (18)

It was rather intimidating for Lola to see the tauros running towards her covered in blood and gore, and even slightly uneasy to see him grin through it, but that freedom of not caring in the midst of battle was one thing she always pondered about. By nature and through her life she was always reserved and worried about just about everything, so in the uncommon times she would fight she was never able to ‘let go’ as much as these men had just now against the undead…..but she supposed in these times her worry-ness was needed, someone had to look after the others, even if she could not accomplish that with pure strength.

They reached the tree clearing, some more tired from that running than others only to be heard the plan, and the reason why Yuro was not with them. She was not the only one thinking this, sometime during the running Scarlet had woken up, only to see the one she had grown attached to the most nowhere to be seen. She wanted to ease her, but interrupted by Mr. Pith asking Oliver to make a beacon of fire. It was a good idea, but it held so much possibility for going wrong. Yuro would most likely not be the only one to see the beacon, undead from all around would gather to this location in minutes if that fire went up, and thankfully no such signal was made.

Instead, a different kind of fire was brought into the mix. Yuro did manage to find his way back to them, but he was not alone, next to him came a mare of beautiful fire like she had never seen before. A shiny was something she had only heard of before, and something she had long ago come to terms with not getting her hopes up on seeing one, and now one comes to her. It was not only her different colored flames that captured one’s attention, but the air of the female rapidash protruded a type of authority and confidence, all wrapped around a large dose of grace.

She was an old friend of Yuro, reuniting after who knows how long in these questioning times, it was something to be admired, and it made her think about her miltank family. If they had meet up again, maybe there really was hope for her gathering up her young’uns afterall…

“It is a pleasure to meet yah Armonia. I would love to get to know yah more, but I doubt being out in the open in the dark is the safest place for that…”
They needed to get to some shelter, any really, they were doing fine right now, but it was really late, and considering the long day’s activity, she knew they would all run out of steam soon.

    Forest| Night (14)

Pyth watched anxiously as a blue and red glow approached them, revealing Yoru and a very beautiful Rapidash with oddly-colored flame.

"Everyone, I would like you to meet Armonia. She is an old friend of mine." Yoru beamed, his voice filled with happiness and pride.
"It's nice to meet you." The horse said, her voice soft and melodic.

The Tauros cleared his throat uneasily, only too aware that he was covered in gore. Not the best way to meet someone...
"M'am." He said simply, lowering his head in respect, his eyes staying in contact with hers.

“It is a pleasure to meet yah Armonia. I would love to get to know yah more, but I doubt being out in the open in the dark is the safest place for that…” Lola said curtly. Pyth nodded, turning around to face the forest. The trees loomed above them, their trunks unusually thick and their leaves and needles closer to the top. The terrain was rocky but littered with wide patches of grasses and clusters of thick trees.

"We should find a...a den...for the smaller ones." He muttered, unsure of what the others would call it. His herd needed no such protection, but he knew that the canines at least would find comfort in it. "If we can find an overhang or something...that would work well enough, I s'pose." He paused, looking back to the others. "We can't sleep out in the open here." The Tauros said in a hushed tone, shooting a glance at the dark trees. He was still out of his element here, but he felt a bit more at ease.
At least now I can smell and see them coming...he thought, his nose testing the wind.

The pup had run ahead of everyone else. He had heard the fighting and even the new pokemon's voice. He could hear everything, smell everything. His ears lay on his head as he hid under a fallen tree. He was so scared. Why had he run while the other's could fight? He didn't know, but right know he felt more alone then every before.

Come come. No reason to be scared is there? After all, you said they were your friends, right? The shadow appeared next to the pup. His blood red eyes showing now emotion as he looked down on the pup. The pup growled at Six. The shadow look taken back but smiled. If that is what you wish. And with that Six vanished.

The pup slowly crept out of his hiding hole as he listen to the other pokemon. As he made his way to the group, something moved behind him. He turned sharply only to find a Onix stared at him. He yelped as the Onix was covered in the smell of blood and death. He bolted. The pup ran for his life. The Onix roured in rage. As the pup ran he screamed, Anyone, HELP!

    Route 28 | Late Night (19/2)

The great mare watch the way the others looked towards Yoru and smiled politely to them and nodded gracefully as they all, in turn, introduced themselves to her. Suddenly she realized that they all looked to Yoru like her herd had looked to her and a jolt shocked through her heart at the memory of her lost friends and companions. Shaking her fiery mane, Armonia padded forward to gently nuzzle Oliver like how a mother would her own child. Instinct told her to do this and she gazed softly into his eyes. "It's nice to meet you Oliver and thank you, my colors are quite the gift." Smiling she nuzzled him once again and whispered so only he could hear her. You don't need to have special colors to have a gorgeous flame," at this she gently raised her left hoof and lightly tapped where his heart would be. "it all depends on what is in here and not what's out here." She shook her mane for him and some of it touched him but since she already trusted him, he wasn't burned from it.

Turning from him she looked to where Yoru was with Lola and Scarlet and smiled at the young Pokemon held in the Miltank's arms. "You are most beautiful Scarlet and I see you have made a soft spot in my dear friend Yoru's heart. He is a great friend to have you know, he would risk his life for someone in a heartbeat. It is nice to meet you both." She nodded to Lola and gave her a respectful smile before turning to Yoru where he stood, nuzzling the small Ralts, and smiled warmly at him before trotting over to Pyth, her eyes gazing warmly into his as he spoke. She wished to add her input but found it best to wait for what Yoru had to say so she decided rather, to work on dimming her flames so they wouldn't glow so brightly.

Yoru watched as each of his friends greeted Armonia warmly and it made his heart almost two times it's normal size. It had been so long since he had seen her and he was more than glad that they took to her so quickly. With a smile plastered to his face, he padded over to Scarlet who looked so happy to see him and began to nuzzle her gently while Armonia introduced herself to the others quickly before they moved out. The words she said to Scarlet about him echoed throughout his heart like the fluttering of wings and he knelt down to offer his back to Scarlet. "If it's alright Lola, I'll carry her the rest of the way down. I know you must be tired." He smiled to her as he offered Scarlet his back and listened to Pyth's words while Armonia stood beside Pyth quietly. "Yes I agree. We must find somewhere for us all to rest really quickly. I know we are all tired and down there in the forest I bet we could find somewhere perfect. We-" Before he could continue however, Stavros' scream split the air but he couldn't go to help, he had to take care of Scarlet and Armonia must of known this because she took that moment to gallop past the scared pup and straight towards the Onix, Megahorn ready and Protect blanketed around her. "You guys go on. I'll catch up." Her voice carried to the others.

    Route 28/Late Night (25)

Oliver tensed, his ears pricking up as Armonia bent her head down towards him and nuzzled him gently. Not for a long time had he felt such affection; the last time he had felt so loved was when his mother gave him his final kiss goodnight before his father disappeared. She had never been the same after that.

"It's nice to meet you Oliver and thank you, my colors are quite the gift," the Rapidash said before lowering her head further still and whispering into his ear: "You don't need to have special colors to have a gorgeous flame." Oliver felt tears of gratitude well up in his eyes as she pointed to his chest and said: "It all depends on what is in here and not what's out here."

Oliver blinked, allowing the tears to spill and disappear into his fur as his tail beat the ground at a mile a minute. "Th-Thank you, Miss Armonia. R-Really ... thanks a lot."

His mind began to wander a little as the Rapidash began to greet the others. He hadn't even proven anything to her and yet she seemed to know that, although it was hidden most of the time, he had a spirit that burned almost as brightly as the flames on Armonia's body.

"Yes I agree," Yoru said, snapping Oliver out of his trance. "We must find somewhere for us all to rest really." Oliver nodded in agreement and stepped closer to Yoru to listen to what he was planning. "I know we are all tired and down there in the forest I bet we could find somewhere perfect. We-"

    "Anyone, HELP!"

Stavros's scream startled Oliver and he leapt to his feet and crouched behind Yoru. The second he noticed the enormous Onix coming towards them with an almighty roar, he yelped in terror. No way, no way on Arceus's earth would he stand a chance against a Pokemon so huge, so powerful! He'd be crushed like an old berry!

"You guys go on. I'll catch up," Armonia said as she prepared to face the Onix in battle.

Oliver didn't hesitate at first and bolted towards the trees, but he suddenly ground to a halt as if hitting an invisible wall. What Armonia had said to him was still spinning around inside his mind. He turned towards the towering Onix and stared at it.

Maybe ... if I had Miss Armonia with me ... Maybe I could ... I did it before...

"You are most beautiful Scarlet and I see you have made a soft spot in my dear friend Yoru's heart. He is a great friend to have you know, he would risk his life for someone in a heartbeat. It is nice to meet you both."

Scarlet didn't know why but she blushed at the kind words and hid in her scarf shyly. When Yoru came over she hugged him happy to see the dark type again.
    "Yoru!" she said happily.

When he went to greet the others she felt at least a bit safer, everyone was here. Even though she didn't know the new fire pokemon well Yoru liked her and she would do her best as well then.

"If it's alright Lola, I'll carry her the rest of the way down. I know you must be tired." Scarlet crawled out of Lola's arms and onto Yoru's back, reagusting the red scarf to wrap around her so it wouldn't fall off. She let herself open up to the other's emotions of hope for a bit loving the sensation.

Then came the darkness and she cowered fearfully, hearing the scream for help.

    Outside Mt.Silver| Night (19)

Yoru was offering to carry Scarlet, and it wasn’t that the precious lass was heavy, but if she had to carry her Lola would be limited on the types of moves she could do since it would require either having her hands free or rolling at high speeds which would trouble the young pokemon severely. Though she would gladly put up with those restrictions if Scarlet preferred to be carried rather than to ride on Yoru’s back, but it seems the ralts preferred to be near the umbreon, which wasn’t surprising considering he was the only one she asked for upon waking up. So before Scarlet jumped completely out of her hands, she lowered her near the umbreon’s back, watching as she adjusted her scarf and got comfortable.

The scream again brought tension to the group, it seems that no matter how late it got, or how tired they were getting, the world would not let them rest and regain their energy so easily. It was like the universe was hell-bent on making sure they were put through hell, and Lola was having trouble fighting off her weariness, they could probably go a few days without sleep, but it would be putting them at risk the longer they did that, so right now it was best to quickly take care of whatever it was that was threatening them.

Another snake, kinda like the one they had tried so hard to run away from, which only left her nervous that this one would prove just as relentless, the only solace she could find was that this one was made of rock instead of hard steel. But given that a new experienced fire type had joined them, the steel snake would have been more appealing right now….

The shiny rapidash went galloping straight at it, it seemed reckless at first glance, but there must have been some trick that she was using, though Lola was too busy taking action to really examine what that may be. While the repidash attacked it head on, Lola used her rollout to make her way behind the snake, using the attack of the fire type as a distraction as she prepared to attack herself. Rollout would do no good against the onix, and most likely her Zen Headbutt would do more damage to her than the beast seeing as she would just be ramming her head against a rock, but her wake-up slaps might work. It wasn’t all that strong, but it was a fighting type move she had learned, and that thing was a rock type, so basic logic was in her favor.

Rolling onto its tail, quickly trying to make her way to the head of the thing before ceasing her rolling to go into a double handed wake-up slap. Yoru now had to take care of Scarlet, so he could not fight as gracefully as he wanted, Oliver and Armonia were fire types which left them vulnerable against this thing, and while Pyth may be able to hold his own in this fight, he was most likely tired from the previous fight, maybe even still tired form taking the steel snake head on earlier today. So it felt like it was up to Lola to protect the ones she was quickly growing to love, even if she had had no real fighting experience while being raised on a moomoo farm.

The air next to the pup rustled as the new pokemon dashed past him. It smelled like a Rapidash, but Stavros didn't have time to do anything about it, cause the Onix roured in pain as the other fire type's attack hit it. Stavros skidded to a halt as he turned his head to the battle. He had to do something, but what? He was just a pup and besides non of his attacks would do any damage anyway.

He huffed, but keep his ears on the fight. He just HAD to do something, but what? As he thought about it, a idea did come to mind, but it was way to dangerous. He must really be insane if he's about to do what he thinks he's about to do. He took in a deep breath and bolted toward the Onix as he growled, HEY YOU BIG IDIOT! YOU WANTED ME, SO COME AND GET IT!

Stavros said as he used his favorite Howl and Bite combo on the rock pokemon's tail. The Onix roured and it tried to use Iron Tail to crush Stavros, but he was to quick. He ran for the forest as he yelled back at his friends, Guys follow me, but stay far behind! I have a idea and I'm going to need you guys to attack the Onix when I say too! Stavros said as he managed to dodge a Rock Throw.

Yoru turned his head gently and nuzzled Scarlet to let her know everything would be alright. "Don't worry I won't ever let anything bad happen to you." He hoped his gentle voice and true promises would ease her distress a bit as he turned back to survey the battle going on. Catching sight of Oliver hesitating in joining the battle, Yoru padded to him and nudged him softly with his right ear. "Hey you can't fight every battle. I am so proud of your fighting but I know you must be tired. Leave this one to them and come with me to find shelter." Yoru's voice was gentle towards the young Growlithe which he had become so proud of. Turning, he strode back towards the expanse of trees to help find a shelter for his friends.

Armonia was deep in the thick of the fighting, her Megahorn gouging holes in the undead Onix and leaving shimmering trails of eerie blood in her wake. Her graceful composure was even more enhanced with the fighting and she tossed her mane to disorientate the great beast which seemed to be working as it shook its great head trying to make sense of the shimmering colors before it. Hearing Stavros, Armonia snorted a puff of steam at his recklessness but followed nonetheless. Any bit of advantage would be great right now but she believed the team could kill the beast. She was so proud of Yoru's friends and she hoped one day they would become her friends too.

    Route 28/Midnight (26)

Oliver's heart hammered against his ribcage as he stood, frozen to the spot, watching the intense battle. He nearly screamed in shock and fear as he spotted Lola on the Onix's head! So high up; if she fell or was shaken off there was a very long drop for her. Or worse, the Onix could catch her in his jaws as she fell and crunch her up just like the Steelix from before had killed Shadow! Oliver couldn't bare the thought of losing someone as kind and loving as Lola. He felt tears welling up in his eyes just at the thought.

Armonia seemed to know what she was doing and her attacks looked like they were doing damage. Still too scared to get much closer, Oliver increased the power of her last move with a Helping Hand just as Stavros appeared and shouted: "Guys follow me, but stay far behind! I have a idea and I'm going to need you guys to attack the Onix when I say too!"

Armonia and Yoru obeyed, and as the Umbreon passed him he said: "Hey you can't fight every battle. I am so proud of your fighting but I know you must be tired. Leave this one to them and come with me to find shelter." The stubborn little Growlithe wanted to shake his head and stay rooted to the spot for his friends, but he knew that Yoru was right. He was tired, but ones as young as himself never wanted to admit it.

Oliver shouted over his shoulder, "Come on, Miss Lola!" before following suit. Once they were a good distance away from the Onix, he said, "OK, Mr Stavros, just tell me what to do, I'll try my best!"

    Outside Mt.Silver| Midnight (20)

Lola was on top of the rock snake’s head unleashing an onslaught of the only fighting type move she knew, basic logic was in her advantage, that rock was weak against fighting, too bad for her that fighting move was wake-up slap. If the giant thing was asleep the move would do more damage, but it wasn’t and they were doing as much damage as it sounded like it would, like slapping a giant and solid rock multiple times. Yeah she was starting to chip away at the rock after a few hits, but she would constantly need to hold on to the rocky horn on its head to keep from being thrown off. The snake wasn’t paying much attention to her, it was the rapidash it was mostly focusing on as she hit it with mega horns strong enough to pierce the tough exterior, then disorienting the beast with her fiery mane.

The rush of fire in its face was what was causing the big lug to shake its head violently, and as hard as Lola held on, she just could not keep her hold on the rocky horn. Which was how she was now plummeting to the ground, her falling had come unexpectedly so she did not think to react. Under normal circumstances she would have tucked and rolled to lessen the overall impact from the fall, but she was dumbstruck, so she fell rather hard, only luck helped her fall on some bushes. He was lucky enough to not have hit her head, but her back was killing her, the throbbing pain from her back told her she would end up with a huge bruise, she was not the young bovine she used to be who would easily get up and go looking for action.

She slowly got up, the pain from her back making it harder to get up and off the bush she squished. The others were following Stravos, who had the beast behind him, apparently he had a plan, and as much as she wanted to quickly catch up to them by rolling, her back protested too much. She would not be able to roll for a while, so instead she ran as best she could on all fours, every now and then wincing from the pain. She just hoped no one saw that embarrassing fall of hers, but a few broken twigs and leaves on her back kinda gave her away…

Stavros heard his friends say something, but the roar of the wind knocked the voice from his ears. Stav's gray and black fur was in a tangled mess of tree leaves and twigs when he finally stopped. He turned and faced the undead Onix head on. He braced himself as he used Howl, to raise his Attack, then he charged. His fangs were frozen solid with Ice Fang, as he chomped down on the rock snake's side.

The Onix roared in pain as it used Slam to knock Stavros against the rock wall. The young Poochyena whined as he tried to get to his feet, but was smacked against the wall again. The Onix snickered at it looked down at it's next meal. No one could see, but the life was slowly draining from the pup eyes. He had done what he could, but it wasn't good enough. His body went limp as he waited for the Onix to kill him, but then a light.

"Hey Stavros, what do you want to do when you get older?

The young pup turns to look at his childhood friend, a female Sneasel, by the name of Rue. Most of the time she was shy, but Stav had known her all his life, but what made her unique was that her ear feather was purple and her eyes were gold with a tint of silver. The pup's heart sped up everytime he looked at her. She was the only one to see he's eye's and not be afraid. So he held her close to his heart.

"Oh well that's easily. When I grow up I want to be big and strong. So I can protect all my friends and family. And you, Rue."

The pup said as he turned to face her. The Sneasel giggled at the pup, but she keep her eyes on the horizon. Stavros could hardly believe he was friends with Rue. He still wondered what she saw in him, but never dared asked. Then Rue turned to face him and spoke,

"Thanks Stavros. I'm counting on you then. You better not let me down.

As the sun went down, the Sneasel leaned in and kissed the pup on his cheek. Then the memory ended.

The pup body jumped up and dodged the Onix's mouth. He was not going to die here. He still had to find Rue and keep his promise. He used Howl again and started to run around the Onix. Then he jumped and as he propelled himself into the air, he started charging a ball of pure darkness. Then just as he reached the peak of his jump He released the black ball and relised what attack he just used. Shadow Ball! The attack hit the Onix and knocked it over.

As the Poochyena landed back on the ground, he turned to his friends and yelled, Now guys! Now the only chance we ha- Then everything went black. The pup's body went limp as he land on the ground. He had taken alot more damage then he thought, but as long as his friends could kill the Onix, the better.

    Forest| Night (15)

Pyth watched in shock as the others ran into battle to save the young pup.
Where's the young ones, they can't be in battle! he thought frantically, searching for them.
The Tauros caught sight of the red banded Umbreon dashing away with the little Ralts and the Growlithe.
Good...he nodded at the Umbreon as he turned on his hooves to charge into battle.
His tails whipping his back viciously, he charged forward, a deep war cry escaping him as his hooves hit the earth hard.
Pyth lowered his horned head at the last second, colliding with the Onix with a rock-shattering strength, knocking the beast back, but not without recoil. The Tauros staggered back, dazed.
Why does it have to be an Onix?! He snorted as he shook his head in anger, his vision blurry. As it cleared, he saw the Rapidash charging the beast, and Lola rolling up its' back.
That female! She's going to get herself killed!
"Lola!" He cried out as the beast flailed about violently, tossing her off.
Pyth began to run to her when he heard the Poochyena cry out for help as it began to lure the beast away.
The Tauros looked back at Lola and growled in frustration.
I can't let the kid get hurt! he thought as he pursued the Onix.

Somewhere ahead of him, he heard the pup yelp in pain, followed by a deep rumbling cackle.
Dammit! I'm too late! he thought with dread, his heart stopping in his chest as he saw the Onix looming over the small creature.
Just as the Onix attacked, the Poochyena leaped into action, using a Shadow Ball and falling to the ground in a heap.
    Fantastic tactic!
He bellowed loudly, gathering up speed as he charged forward, using the strongest Take Down he could muster, his body slamming into the weakened Onix at full-force. Pyths' vision went black as his head collided with the rock-hard body of the giant snake.

(changed my mind, I'll post now.~ I go after Lola usually. I was skipped.)
