Yoru frowned as he realized that Oliver's answer would leave him with the candle. Did he even know the floating wick's name? No. Didn't recall ever hearing it so guess not. He didn't mind letting Oliver pick the groups, hell he was happy he wasn't with the feathered asshole, but foraging? On a freaking mountainside? They would have to go all the fuck way back down just to find anything and then it would take a lot of effort to get anything of substance back up to where they were currently. The only thing they would find up here was a lot of fucking rocks. "We'll go this way. Meet back here in a few hours." Yoru's grimaced as the stupid bird insisting on bossing him around like he was in charge. “Che. Good luck with that,” he commented as they departed.

Yeah he didn't want to do this.

Blink's frown deepened as Oliver and Brig made their way to find, well, whatever it was they were looking for. Supplies? Such as? He was a ghost who refused to feed on his only food source because it would make him a monster. But he supposed the rocks and logs would do for the barricade so maybe he could go find something like that? Yoru didn't seem like he would be much use with the angry way he was hunching his shoulders so Blink took it upon himself to begin the search on his own.

"Hey candle." Blink looked back to the Umbreon and eyed him curiously. What did he want. "The hell was your name again?" Blink fell to the ground in exasperation.

The Legend sighed, the events of the ship catching up with her as she reflected on what had happened. The Anne was gone, sinking slowly but surely to the bottom of the harbor in which it lay, a monument to the strength of the infection, and to the hate of those left alive. The Houndoom who had opened it's maw to strike, likewise gone, it's head twisted nearly 180 degrees along the axis of it's neck. Try as she might, the legend just couldn't bring herself to care anymore. It seemed that every day that past, this... plague was growing in strength, the endless ranks of the undead swelling in number as the living fell prey to their ravenous hunger.

Mew sighed, her form flashing with a blinding white light as she let her Transformation fade. She took stock of herself for the first time since leaving the now derelict ship and flying West towards Johto. Her tail was... well, a ruined mess. The skin gone from the last quarter of it, revealing muscle that even now was beginning to dry and harden against the air. A flash of white bone peeked out at the extreme of the wound where the flesh had bbeen shorn away.

The legend squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block out the sight of her damaged form. She began to slow her rapid flight across the mountains, and encased herself in her classic bubble, just wanting to sit and gather her thoughts.

[Glad to be on the team.]

"We'll go this way. Meet back here in a few hours." Oliver hopped along the rocks after the Braviary, not forgetting to offer Blink and Yoru a quick smile as he left. "See you later!" With a skip in his step, the young pup jumped from rock to rock, his previous weariness temporarily forgotten at the prospect of an outing. Especially since it was with Brig. Although the bird was loud-mouthed and rather rude, there was something about him that Oliver really liked. He was one to be trusted; he was strong. Maybe he could teach Oliver a thing or two about fighting.

"So, kid, how long you been with that jackass?" Brigadier's blunt question caught Oliver off guard, and he flinched slightly at his harsh words. "He always like this?" Oliver knew that the answer to that question was no, but at the same time he felt bad to talk about Yoru negatively. After all the Umbreon had done for him, saying nasty things about him was no way to repay him. Oliver knew that if his father was there, he'd be telling him exactly the same thing.

Nonetheless, he couldn't lie to Brig; even if he did the bird probably wouldn't believe him. Oliver remained perched on his rock for a moment while he figured out what to say before hopping down and breaking into a trot beside Brigadier. "Well ... no, not really. When I met Mr Yoru he was a little different. Last night though, after we had escaped Mt Silver, a Rapidash called Miss Armonia came. She and Mr Yoru seemed to be friends. But ... then they both disappeared, and now Mr Yoru is back and Miss Armonia is nowhere to be found." Oliver paused to sniff at a small patch of weeds beside the road before continuing. "I don't know if something happened to Miss Armonia and that has upset him ... or maybe she did something to hurt him? I don't know ... when we get back I'm going to talk to him anyway. I want to find out why he left us and-- what's that?"

Oliver had just happened to look up at the sky, enjoying the midday sun's warm rays on his face, when he noticed a pink ball floating a few metres above them. "You see that? What could it be?" he asked, tilting his head in curiosity.

As Yoru continued to aggravate the Litwik with the instance on his name he finally gave up and told the Umbreon. "Blink, alright? My name is Blink." A smug smirk was his only response. "Why do I even bother?" the unlit candle sighed to himself. Ignoring his irritating companion Blink settled with trying to find something to block the entryway to the cave.  It wasn't long before they came across a long trail leading up the mountain littered with broken trees and rocks.

"Hey, those could work," Yoru stated as he came up behind Blink, eyes scanning the area. Though something about the scene struck him as odd he couldn't help but be somewhat pleased by the lucky find. This meant they wouldn't have to do any of the breaking themselves and save their attacks for whatever made that big ass hole leading to Blink's hideout. "Mr. Yoru...I'm not sure about this. This looks like...a trail." The Umbreon looked to the floating ghost beside him and then scanned the area noticing that indeed the damage did seem to all be in a single line leading up the mountain.

"Could be whatever made that hole came through here first. Come on, let's see what we can drag back and drop it off. We need to find the others and warn them." Blink nodded slowly before following Yoru into the ravaged mountainside to search for supplies.

Ebony wings carelessly, effortlessly kept their mount aloft as he strode confidently through empty skies. It had been so quiet on his venture through the lands as he sought out piques of interest. The old labs, any possible places for humans to still thrive... even other Legends, since the crises drove them out in hordes. The thought caused a small, reminiscent chuckle to form in the back of his throat, the memories of the Legends he'd managed to meet quickly coming back up in his mind. They were a delightful folk, even if they were now running on fumes and walking the precarious edge of oblivion, like the rest of their kin. The silence proved his own victory; his army had already nearly obliterated the living numbers, far and wide.

But as he flew, an iridescent shimmer caught his crimson gaze. A bubble, floating curiously above the rest of the mountain range... It was quite possible it was another Legend, and what's more is that it appeared alone. Odd... But as he flew closer, the aura of power was certainly noticeable. Yes, this was certainly a pokemon he couldn't ignore. Grinning inwardly, he circled and found a quaint little perch nearby, observing the bubble from below.

"Hello, there," he called, watching the bubble with keen interest.

"Well ... no, not really." Huh. Well, that wasn't what he expected out of the pup. But then again, in the very short time Brig had known the pup, he was already sure that he was one of those pokemon that just couldn't talk badly about another. "When I met Mr Yoru he was a little different. Last night though, after we had escaped Mt Silver, a Rapidash called Miss Armonia came. She and Mr Yoru seemed to be friends. But ... then they both disappeared, and now Mr Yoru is back and Miss Armonia is nowhere to be found."

Hn. Obviously that mare had had some sort of hold on the asshole. But he'd seen her -talked to her even- when he'd found the group in the first place? Maybe she left him in more ways than one lonely in that mountainside and it rubbed him the wrong way? Cuntmuncher probably deserved it. Heh. Good for the bitch. "I don't know if something happened to Miss Armonia and that has upset him ... or maybe she did something to hurt him? I don't know ... when  we get back I'm going to talk to him anyway. I want to find out why he left us and-- what's that?"

Stopping cold in his tracks, his head turned sharply upward, eyes spotting the oddity in a millisecond. Sure enough, there was some faggy pink bubble thing floating above them, an odd sheen reflecting the sun's rays. As much as he wished he could go and pop the bubble, his wing wasn't the only protestor-- a sinking feeling deep in his gut kept him grounded. Whatever names he could throw at it, something deep down told him not to fuck with it. Oliver's innocent words cut into his own thoughts of dread, bringing him back.  "You see that? What could it be?"

"Dunno, son..." he muttered back in a low voice, not wanting their conversation to be heard. His eyes and ears caught another voice, an elegant one, but not the words. Something else? Brig spied a shaded bit of trail, hidden by vegetation. Opening his good wing to enclose the pup and push him along, he quickly made to the brush. Maybe they'd listen into whatever was happening above them. "Don't think these are friendly, son. Let's sit and watch, make sure."

[PM me if not ok, Night :)]

As the pair gathered whatever they could, Yoru rolling small logs up the hill after Blink burned the excess branches off, they soon realized that their time frame was already half gone. The Umbreon looked to the sun high in the afternoon sky and sighed heavily. "We should stop, we still need to find something to bind these logs together and we are running short on time." Blink paused in his burning of the next log for rolling and looked around. How was one supposed to bind trees together?

Blink floated around the area a bit before coming across a large patch of what looked like red mud, barely noticing when Yoru came up from behind. "Hey nice find." Startled Blink almost fell out of the air, barely catching himself before landing in the thick goop before looking back at the red-ringed vulpine. "What is it?" Placing one paw delicately in the mud he pulled it back and wiped it on a nearby rock. "It's red clay. With a little heat we can bake it into a harder substance that will work to bind the trees where rocks won't prop." Oh, well that could work. "We should probably go find the others and ask for their help getting this stuff back." Yoru nodded and began to lead the way back to the cave, the small Litwik hot on his heels.

However they didn't notice the red pair of eyes watching them as they left, nor the large shadow possessing them moving back into the trees.
