Move Tutor Moves

Since we go by game canon it seems, is it acceptable to have tutor moves from previous generations, as long as you provide a good explanation?

Considering that some of these older characters from older regions would undoubtedly have access to the tutors of the gen/region.

Is it okay for me to have tutor moves?

Just remember those pokemon would have to be at least Aged Elder in order to have those moves, and it only goes back to Gen 4. Nothing prior.

Okay... but you yourself approved a charrie of mine with a Tutor move from Gen 3.
