History Though most of his kind were directly reanimated from fossils, King was one of the earlier generations to have been born naturally into the world. He was an impish little tyke, pranking and messing with his siblings, proving himself early on to be one of the strongest of his clutch. It was then he was given his name: King; a name that would truly define his existence. He was soon sold to a traveling trainer and set off into the wilds of Kalos.

His time with the first trainer did not last long. While he was still in his early levels, he was traded to another trainer, who travelled to an exotic land named Hoenn. The small Tyrunt preferred the warm sands and lush tropics to his temperate homeland and soon flourished in the new region. The trainer brought him up well, even managing to evolve him by the time King reached adolescence. Unfortunately, with the hormones of not just evolving but also puberty, King became completely unmanageable. He began striking out to not only the trainer, but the other pokemon, forcing his trainer to seek outside help. He was given to a collective of dragon tamers, where his real training began.

It was a harsh, grueling time. He was taken to Meteor Falls and trained relentlessly. Every day ended with him beaten, exhausted and sore from sparring with much more powerful dragons than he dreamed existed. But his stubbornness and determination proved out, seeing him through the rough times. He grew substantially in not only levels, but as a person. He knew power, but also the discipline and responsibility that came with it. Finally mature, he was then brought into the inner circle of the human community -- the lorekeepers.

They were what he would have initially described as a cult. They were fervent worshippers of Rayquaza, a Legend he'd never even heard before. But his ignorance to his existence didn't matter; upon his first pilgrimage to Sky Pillar, he was stricken with awe and wonder at the paintings upon the ruin's walls. The stories of the dragon-god defending the world, quelling the rage of not only one, but two all-powerful world-shaping Legends... it was enough to convert King to being a believer. Immersing himself in the humans' and pokemon's tales of his new deity, he was chosen to be a protector of one of the youngest in the clan; a small girl named Miriam. She was a rambunctious, eager tyke that strained the dinosaur's patience. But soon, he grew into the role of protector and accompanied the girl on her way through life.

Years flew by as King busied himself with Miriam's life. He was her confidante, her shield, her sword. She had little need for other pokemon, as King proved he had enough strength to protect her alone. When she reached adulthood and found herself her own mate, King couldn't help but be jealous and overprotective. But the man showed his intentions were genuine, and the couple soon fostered a capable relationship, later sealed with a wedding. It wasn't long after that there was another in the family; a daughter by the name of Zinnia.

The tiny babe was in King's steely heart immediately. He treated her much like she was his own brood, planting a new love and friendship he knew would last another lifetime. However, Miriam soon took ill; so ill she had to be taken into the larger city-area to receive proper treatment. Devastated, King and Zinnia could only watch as she and her mate left the Falls, hoping that maybe one day they could see them return.

    That day never came.

King then took it upon himself to become Zinnia's protector; everyone else merely accepted the change. He accompanied her nearly everywhere, becoming her large, lumbering shadow. As her responsibilities grew and she received her own title of lorekeeper, she struck out to train, gaining more pokemon to accompany her. However, soon, a grave crisis soon struck the land of Hoenn. Now that Zinnia was an adolescence, she took it upon herself to right the wrongs that were occurring in her home, King hot on her heels. They infiltrated a strange cult, one worshipping one of the Old Gods. It didn't matter which; both were inane. They followed and stole what they needed, for Zinnia was undertaking one of the most difficult quests of all: to summon Rayquaza himself.

After the crisis was over, Zinnia and he retreated back to Meteor Falls, but only for a short goodbye to her grandmother. Quick to leave the past behind, Zinnia and King were off on another adventure, eager to find what else the region had in store.

But as they traveled, a darkness soon came upon the land. A terrible plague that soon caught the lives of some of his own teammates. After watching them fall into death and undeath, Zinnia and he fled, trying to find an end to the rotting corpses and horror. Of course, there was none. The entire land was corrupted, and of course, to them, there was only one solution: to summon Rayquaza once more. But with the last supplies exhausted from the last time, they had to search more and more for new supplies. They were rare enough when the world wasn't ending, but with the apocalypse nipping at their heels, it felt like an impossible task.

Their desperate search soon led them to Sootopolis, where they soon were separated. Desperate to find Zinnia, King now searches for her before her time runs out.
Bulbapedia "Tyrantrum is a large, dinosaurian Pokémon, closely resembling theropods like Tyrannosaurus. It is predominantly brick-red in coloration, with scaly patterns on its skin and scattered orange highlights on some of the scales and ridges. The underbelly is gray with white borders, and it has a long tail with two orange spikes near the tip. Its small forelimbs have only two black clawed digits, but it has powerful hind legs with three sharp, black talons. Plated, armor-like ridges are found on the front of the legs and down the back and tail. Spiky, white "fluff", similar to the primitive feathers on many dinosaurs, extends into a cape-like fringe around the neck. Additional feathering forms a prominent beard on the lower jaw, which is otherwise gray in coloration. Its head is proportionally large, with a ridged snout and powerful jaws. The lower jaw is lined with pointed teeth, and the upper jaw features a number of tooth-like projections which are also highlighted orange. Its eyes appear to have black sclera with white irises. An orange, five-pointed crest extends from the snout above the eyes and point backwards, giving it the appearance of wearing a crown.

Before its extinction, wild Tyrantrum used to live 100 million years ago, when its powerful jaw conferred its status as an unmatched predator. Since it was considered invincible in the ancient world, it behaved like a king.
    "
Appearance Old, yet surprisingly fit and healthy.
    Accent American; slightly Southern
    Religion Rayquaza; inwardly pious.
Motivation To find and protect Zinnia. That is all.
    Personality
    +Old Soul
-King has lived quite a long life and seen and experienced many, many things. This has given him a sort of appreciation for certain aspects of life, and knows too well that many things that should be lived and shared simply pass by too quickly. He also has a soft spot for nostalgia.
    +Ornery+
-Decades of dealing with stupidity has worn this dinosaur's patience and tolerance into non-existence. Aches and pains generally make his mood even more foul.
    +Stubborn+
-He knows what to do-- he's old. He knows how to do it-- he's done it before. No fuckin' little bright-eyed, bushy-tailed shitkicker is gonna tell him otherwise-- they're all fuckin' stupid. They don't know what the hell they're doing. They'll just hurt themselves.
-He may actually listen to another in his age group, or if he literally has no other choice. Neither happens often.
    +Dominant+
    -See above.
    +Volatile+
-Though in his youth, he had some anger issues, those issues have grown into an enormous monster. Once angered, he becomes a force of pure rage.
    +Blunt+
-He doesn't have time to tip-toe around the flowers. Shit's stupid. Too damn old-- could collapse any second. Just say what you need to say.
-This attitude leads to a lot of cursing and a lot of hurt feelings.
    +Protective
-In all his years, his only regrets have involved being incapable of helping those he truly cared about. Once he finds himself attached to someone, he will do everything in his power to prevent them from getting hurt.
    -Large possibility of overprotection.
-Will automatically protect children and women.
    +Simple-Minded
-Unwilling to ponder complex matters; wants a simple, straight answer or command.
-This does not mean he's stupid-- just mentally lazy.
-Though, he's not terribly smart. Not dumb like a bag of hammers, just... not exceptionally bright. Mediocre.
    +Narrow-Minded
-Not necessarily prejudiced, just stuck in old habits.
-Not generally open to new ideas.
    User Notes
    -Father was a Salamence
-Took liberties with Zinnia's parents; they are unmentioned in canon.
-King's first trainer in the dragon clan was Zinnia's grandmother
    -Will dual with Zinnia later
-Kept information regarding ORAS and its Delta episode vague, to prevent as many spoilers as possible
-New artwork befitting an Elite team has been commissioned
