Pearl the Togekiss & Amethyst the Sableye

Pearl is a perfectionist and strategist who values thought and reason.
She is very intelligent, graceful, and controlled, having a wide range of knowledge on many topics from the history of Gemkind to Rocket Science.
Although she gets easily flustered when her plans fail, or when Amethyst says something she doesn't think Steven should hear, she is very caring and motherly toward Steven, to the point of occasionally being overbearing, but always well-meaning.
Out of all the Crystal Gems, Pearl appears to be the most poorly adjusted to life on earth, generally being unaware of human social conventions and activities such as jokes, games, arcades, food, and birthday parties,

Pearl also seems to have a generally negative view of humanity: "Humans just lead short, boring, insignificant lives, so they make up stories to feel like they're a part of something bigger. They want to blame all the world's problems on some single enemy they can fight, instead of a complex network of interrelated forces beyond anyone's control."

She believed herself to be Rose's "sole confidant" and that Rose shared all her secrets with her.
Pearl became jealous and eventually devastated upon learning that this was not the case.
Pearl looked up to Rose for guidance and support and often speaks very fondly of her.
She's shown to love Rose so much that she was willing to stay on Earth and defend it with her because going back to the homeworld planet would mean being without Rose.

Amethyst is fun and care-free. Loud and full of laughter, she finds everything amusing, but can be very emotional and isn't afraid to act on impulse.

She has overall bad manners, including chewing with her mouth open and picking her nose.
She doesn't like her things to be neat.
In relation to Steven, she tends to indulge him more and partake in activities with him.

She is the Crystal Gem who is the hardest to crack in emotional situations, though at times she has shown to have a major concern for Steven.

She seems to love eating and sleeping, as she has been seen eating and/or resting far more than the other Gems (even though Gems don't need to eat or sleep).

However because of her dark past, she sometimes feels out of place from the other Gems.
