History | Dune started out as a piece of Old Ember, which had been stolen when a group of Team Rocket Grunts broke into the Pewter Town's Musium and stole many valuble objects. The grunt who stole the ember never turned it in with the other spoils, instead keeping it for himself. Soon afterwards he revived Dune who's DNA was inside it. The grunt kept the revived pokemon hidden from his boss and other comrades for the first two years. But after a bad incident Giovanni found out and confiscated Dune from the human, leaving the pokemon distraught. He went on a wild rampage throughout the lab where they had been previously running tests on the Aerodactyle. The Team Rocket boss had a thing for collecting rare pokemon, and a revived fossil pokemon was defiantly on the list. The man trained with the beast for a year but then decided to send him away to be trained by someone else after five near death attacks from Dune and his lack of following the man's orders. Dune was outraged even more being sent further away from his first master, who, even if it wasn't often, would still visit him. Now that the Aerodactyl was being shipped off, he feared he would never see the boy again and indeed he didn't. Three years went by slowly as he was trained up in the mountains. Having grown tired of the human's trying to control him, he acted like he would obey their commands, act like he was being tamed, then once they trusted him enough, he made his move.Under the cover of night he escaped from the 'prison' using Ancientpower to deliver heavy damage on the facility and leave the humans in a state of pandemonium. After flying for three days straight he managed to find his way back to where his original trainer was. He didn't know that the boy was a part of an evil organization, all that he knew was that he wanted to be home. Luck was on Dune's side and he was able to quickly reunite with his trainer after all those years. The grunt gave Dune a spiked collar that had a small engraving of an "R" on it and were the normal dog tag would be was replaced with a Soothe Bell. The two were happy to be back together. But that time was short and bittersweet. When the Boss found out about what happened he shipped Dune off, sick of dealing with the pokemon to a research facility that was studying the makings of Shadow Pokemon. Dune had only been there less than a week before the place was overrun with odd behaving pokemon. The Aerodactyl managed to escape outside of the building when a swarm of Murkrow attacked him. He managed to fend them off but not without one managing to use it's talons to claw under his eyes. At that time he didn't know he was infected, he didn't know what was going on. Dune only noticed two things, the strange pokemon left in their wake carnage and the number of humans were declining rapidly. He worried that his trainer would be lost to him forever. After traveling for about a week, he started to realize he wasn't feeling very good, but didn't pay much attention to it because the only thing on his mind was to get back to his trainer. At last he made it back to the old HQ and to his dismay found it in ruins. Dune, who hadn't stopped to drink during the travel back, didn't notice that his eyes had turned red, his irises a deep black. When he managed to find a few humans they shot at him. tearing small holes into his wings. The pain from the wounds made him attack in a blind rage and when he came back too, there was nothing recognizable with the carnage that laid around him that once were human. Frightened he fled deep into the forest where he tried to fight whatever was wrong with him. As weeks passed the flesh on his face started to rot away, leaving his bare skull. The tears from the bullets had also started to grow as his wings started to erode. Soon he started to hallucinate, seeing images of bloodied disfigured pokemon as well as disembodied voices. The fear and terror of the strange things happening started to eat at his mind. It was only when the small bell on his collar that jingled eased the pain some, soothing his tormented mind. Now he wanders from place to place, still trying to find his trainer though Dune believes he's dead. His moods and movements are unpredictable with his mind so unstable. He doesn't fully understand that he's one of the undead, even with his skull visible. He doesn't really care either. *update* After the events that took place with the challenging Alakazam, Dune once again found himself alone and without the company of the other strange pokemon that had been in battle. If they had fought against or with him, the fossil did not recall, nor care. Hunger started to drive him again and he set off away from the Unova Region. Dune soon arrived in the far northwest part of Johto where he was attacked by a large flock of undead flying types. Amongst the chaos the fossil type lost altitude and crashed near the opening of the Ice Path cave. In his rage he slaughtered the flying types and feasted on the remains. However when he heard the sound of a living pokemon who had been hiding in the cave, Dune gave chase. In a panic the small pokemon fled deeper and deeper into the cave with the undead close behind. Before he could eat the pokemon however, Dune's skin began to freeze. When the living pokemon noticed this, it remembered it's ice move. Using Ice Beam, Dune became encased in a prison of ice. Unable to escape or feed both he and the virus slipped into inanimate state. Several months passed and one day a duo ventured into the cave, one being a fire type, the other electric. They were being pursued by a horde of undead. Cornered the two began to fight for their lives, recklessly using their attacks to protect themselves. It was during this battle that Dune's ice prison was hit a few times by the fire type's flame thrower. This act began the melting of the ice, and causing the undead fossel to become animated again. As the ice continued to melt and Dune became conscious again, only one thing came to mind. Feed. The duo didn't even notice the monster that lurked behind them until it was far too late. Little remained of their bodies as the Aerodactyl left the cave and started to roam again. |
