According to recent studies and breakthroughs in technology, thye have been able to replace limbs on dogs, cats, and replace the fins on whales and dolphins.... considering the realm of this beloved Game Franchise, which seems to excede our own in terms of certain technological advancements, including teleport pads, the Pokeball, the PC Machines.... etc.

I was wondering, what about prosthesis. As you are all aware, there are somethings a Chansey cannot heal, and if someone (Human, Pokemon) were to have lost a limb or appendage.... could they, if viable reason is given, could they have an artificial limb? Though many of the early prosthetics were slow and not very efficient... newer ones, like the legs they have been giving to Crippled Veterans, are even able to be used o run Marathons.

This is only the tip of the iceberg of my question. Given the nature of many Government projects uncovered and declassified by the American CIA, we've learned that there were several projects attempting to enhance human, and occassionally animal, performance. So, in total of my question....

Could you have cybernetic enhancments on certain characters.... they wouldn't be too advanced, some might even be prototypes, that could be used as a viable part of their bodies. These would all be experimental Pokemon, mind you. And also, if any charrie lost an appendage, could they have a prosthetic replacement? Given how advanced this world seems to be.

I would imagine that in this world, there are not too many humans that work on these things, so there would probably only be Pokémon who have them from a long time ago, before the Epidemic. I highly doubt that they would be able to get them currently if they lost an appendage.

Discord has a valid point. It would be rather hard to find anything post-epidemic, but you may have some moving room pre-epidemic. Artificial limbs, simple or advanced, could be considered. The Pokemon world does have advanced technology, and considering the nature of Pokemon battles, I don't doubt they may very well have used prosthetic limbs for those who were badly hurt in battle.

This will of course be on a case by case basis, but we will consider the possibility. This, of course, is only limited to limbs, and nothing more complicated, like eyes or what not. Those would probably need a lot more care and attention than the post-epidemic world could offer.

Barring cyborgs or androids I can see allowing some prosthesis. It would depend on each individual case and how the user presents it, but I have allowed artificial limbs before.

My only concern is that it makes sense and doesn't equal to horrific body modification, as that would need a mutator ticket. Present your profile to me via PM if you don't want pages of notes, lol. I can help you out with it if you already have some ideas on what you want to do.
