Sprout Tower| Top Floor| Late Afternoon

It was entirely foolish to run, and begging for mercy was wasted on her. The pack of rattatas that had sought refuge in her tower made a grave mistake thinking they could ever be safe. If anything, it was entirely too easy to pick them all of. She had started with the males like always, a simple attract had left them helpless, the ones that came too close got a Lovely kiss for their stupidity. Some of the females tried to intervene, Siren did not like having her meal interrupted, the reward for interfering was the sweet sound of their bones crumbling beneath her icy fists. Even if she was always hungry, something inside her would not tolerate her eating female meat.

When she was done with the meddlesome female rattatas, they were thrown into the growing pile of bodies in the corner, if they could even be called bodies after her treatment. She turned her attention to the awaiting males, like what had happened to her when she was alive, they hadn’t even bothered to help their lovers and friends in their affected states. She rubbed her blood soaked hand around her lips as if it was lipstick and returned to planting her Lovely kisses to her admirers, leaving red marks on their faces, less chance of them screaming half way through their meal. She took her time devouring her meal, relishing each part; her hunger was never satisfied, “Never enough, Never enough.”

When she finished the ones in front of her, nothing left but bones and scattered innards, she looked around to see if there were more, nothing but Blood and mangled bodies. “Never enough....” She returned to scouring her tower for any trasspassers.

Raisin was sneaking around, looking for his next meal. He NEEDED the taste of blood in his mouth, and he needed it NOW. He sniffed the air.

    I smell...blood!

The smell was coming from the large, tall tower known as Sprout Tower. His red eyes gleamed, and he began to run as fast as he could into Sprout Tower.

The blood...the precious blood...I need it...

Sprout Tower| Second Floor Down| Evening
    1

Ken had been flying for what felt like days when it had only been a few hours. With every flap of his wings he could feel his strength fading. He never got any sleep these past few nights, in fear that one of the infected might attack him while he slept. But he needed sleep, he knew that much.

Just when Ken thought he was about to plummet out of the sky he noticed a tower in the distance. It was a tall tower, and somewhat old. But it looked like a safe place to rest and regain his strength. As he got closer he saw a flock of undead Murkrow to his right, they where far away, so they hadn’t noticed him. He had seen so many undead Murkrow that he started to think he was the only one of his kind that was still alive.

Ken reached the tower and flew through one of the open windows and did a crash landing on the floor. He was gasping for breath, ignoring the smell of dead bodies that seemed to be coming from the floor above. He re opened his eyes and looked around, all he could see was an empty room with a single pillar that seemed to be swaying back and forth. He managed to stand on his legs, but it was hard to keep himself up. He looked up in case there were some flying infected also in here, but there was none, just an empty tower. He sighed with relief. He walked over to the open window and managed to use the last of his strength to fly up and close it to keep out any other fly infected from entering. He then flew up to one of the wooden beams that held the wall in place and sat down on it, were he instantly drifted into sleep.

    Violet City|Night (1)

The young Venonat was tired from escaping the ongoing continous rampage of the infected and attempted to search for a place to stay. His energies were being consumed fast everytime he had to run away or fight, he was still young and not very experienced at fighting. He's long days with few food and little to no sleep lead him to Violet City.

Violet City wasn't the beautiful city Venonat remembered to visit with Dell...Now the plants are dying, the buildings are damaged by the wrath of the infected pokemon and seemed to be completely empty. The infection had turned this place into another Ghost town...but it surelly wouldn't stay empty for long, Venonat needed to find shelter and food quickly, he kept walking looking around.

He was able to find an opened bag on the floor, probably from some trainer, it had some berries. Venonat looked around, and since he didn't see anyone he served himself happily, although he only ate what he needed, than he grabbed on the bag and took it with him and attempted to find shelter, but the only possible safe shelter was a tower located in Violet City...Sprout Tower.

    Sprout Tower| Top Floor| Night

It had been hours since her last feeding, and Siren anger was not helping. A logical being would have saved some food from the previous meal for a later time, but not an undead. All Siren knew was hunger, some glimpses of pain, and anger, and sometimes when she didn’t quell her appetite, she knew rage. It wasn’t certain if other pokemon had found out that she was in the tower, or if they had all left the area, but she didn’t care, what she cared about was that she wasn’t ripping into sweet flesh, not having her lips stained with the blood of the dead.

Her rage built up till the point where the Jynx had begun to smash everything in the top most tower. The bellsprout statues had been the first to meet her icy fists, the appearance of inedible pokemon set her off. Each of her punches being emphasized with he mumbles “Never Enough”, if she had still been living she would have needed to go to the pokemon center for her broken hands. By the time most of her rage had been temporarily sated, the statues where beyond recognizable. She could not wait for food to come anymore, she would need to find it instead. She started descending the stairs.

Ken woke with a start at the sound of banging coming from the floor above. At first he though it was nothing, just some old statue finally giving way, until he saw the shadow of a pokemon emanating from the stairs. Ken stayed were he was, not moving a feather so that he blended in with the shadows. Its times like these that his dark colour came in handy, and it was a good thing two. What came down the stairs was an infected. I thought the tower was empty. Ken though to himself. That thing must have been the one making all the noise… that must also explain the bad smell.

The infected Jinx, he believed it was, made its ways down the stairs. It looked really hungry, but he made sure to stay out of sight so that he wouldn’t become its next meal. It looked ticked off as well as it made its way to the second set of stairs. Just a little longer and it would have been out of sight and Ken would be safe to breath easy again, but like always, something goes wrong.

Ken was so fixated on the infected that he forgot to keep a firm grip on the wooden plank and almost lost his balance, but he managed to stay on it by digging his claws into it. They made a scratching sound on the wood as he tried to get a good grip. He hoped the Jinx would think it was nothing and continue to leave.

Venonat looked around not seeing any Infected he sitted at the doors. He trusted that in case any Infected would come towards he would just have to slip inside the tower for security, he prepared a little meal with the berries he found for himself while poking the Poison Barb strapped at his antenna playfully.

As he finished, the small Insect pokemon yawned as his energies were running low, although he knew he had to keep himself awake. He grabbed on a stick and started drawing on the ground figures of a Venonat and a Cacturne representing himself and his lost friend Dell. A tear crawled from his eye as he missed his friend.

For a few minutes sleep finally caught to him but he quickly woke up startled by a loud thrashing up above. As he looked up he saw nothing more than the tower rising to touch the sky. Probably it was just the weak tower giving up and parts of it's structure already starting to colapse. He sighed and continued drawing to keep himself entertained...unknown to him that inside slaughter would await.

    Walking through Violet City||Night

Keen red eyes scanned the streets warily. The Quilava raised his nose and sniffed, the scent of blood quickly overwhelming him and making his stomach feel queasy. He was a bit unsteady on his feet from days of walking and running from Infected, but he had to reach shelter...weak legs or otherwise. He warily entered the town, walking down what he assumed was the main street. Explotaro continued along, passing empty shops and houses that reminded him of the aftermath of the devastated New Bark that he had come from. He pushed the thought out of his mind and picked up his pace. Eventually, he made it to the entrance of Sprout Tower, where he believed he could take shelter...

He saw a Venonat near the entrance to the Tower, and warily padded over to it. He was uncertain of whether or not it was infected, but judging from the little drawings that it was making...it probably wasn't. He was about to make his presence known to the Bug-type when a violent thrashing sound came from within the Tower, startling Explotaro and making the flames on his back and head burst to life. There must have been an Infected here.

    Violet City/Night (1)

As he wandered slowly and silently through the dark, lonely streets of Violet City, Khan felt a bitter pang of sadness. The young Lucario sighed ruefully as he remembered the city as how it used to be - bustling with life, buzzing with young Trainers and their Pokemon, eager to challenge the Gym Leader. How much it had changed in such a short amount of time...

Khan stopped for a moment, estimating the amount of time it had been since he had arrived. Ten minutes or so, roughly. Every five minutes he had told himself to scan the area for any suspicious auras. He closed his crimson eyes and concentrated intently, the black appendages on the back of his head rising. Nothing. The coast was clear for now. He opened his eyes, sighed, plucked up his courage and kept going.

Through the darkness he spied a tower in the distance. Sprout Tower. The place brought back many happy memories for Khan; he and his Trainer Eva had spent a lot of time there, training themselves to challenge the Gym. While he wanted to keep as far away from that place as possible, he reckoned that it would make a decent place to rest for a while. Travelling for three days straight to get there from Sinnoh had taken its toll on Khan's body.

He flinched as he spotted two small figures next to the entrance. A Venonat and a Quilava, it seemed. While they didn't appear to be infected upon first glance, Khan had learnt long ago never to be too careful. The spikes on his fists extended slightly and let off a faint glow as he approached, ready to deliver a Metal Claw to them if they attacked. However, at the same time, he kept his stance tall and casual so he would not provoke them to attack. He wasn't sure if he had the strength for a two-on-one battle...

Siren was planning on going straight to the ground floor and into the city to look for food, it irritated her that the food didn’t come directly to her, but that didn’t matter, food would be found one way or another. The dark had once made her uneasy when she was alive, now it was a just signaled for her for when it was a better time to go out to feed, most of the prey was stupid, choosing the time when they cannot see any possible enemies to sleep. Her eye sight was getting worse over time, the decay of her body did not leave her retinas untouched, but she could see the same in the dark as she would during the day. The constant eye sight and the fact that she was constantly hungry made her a devastating monster.

She would have walked right past all unnecessary floors in her quest to make it to the bottom, but after one flight of stairs a noise penatrated the silence. It was faint, but it was unmistakable as a scratch. Siren had heard this old tower randomly make noises during her reign of it, when she went to the origin thinking it might have been food she was angered to find nothing, it was like the tower liked to play tricks on her, more reason to unleash her anger upon her surroundings. If she was still alive she might have ignored the noise, but her urge for food caused by the infection did not let her ignore any possible food source. It had come from above, but all she could see where pillars and beams, none of which would satisfy any of her needs. One thing did catch her eye though, a black thing stuck on the pillars, a sane person would have reasoned that it was some sort of bag, but all she knew was that it was in her tower, and if she would not be able to eat the black thing she would destroy it. She aimed a few ice punches at the support beam holding up the beam that the black thing was on in order to make it fall down.

Ken tried hard to keep his balance on the wooden beam as it shook from the ice punches caused by the infected Jynx. He knew he couldn’t stay on for much longer and fell from the beam and landed on the floor aways from the Jynx. He got to his feet as fast as he could and used his own attack against the Jynx. He used his Night Shade attack to stop the Jynx from coming any closer to him as he flew up out of its reach.

Ken looked down at the ticked off infected as it waved its arms in an attempt to try and grab him. Other Murkrow would have mocked the infected Jynx, but Ken knew better then to provoke an already enraged pokemon. And his Night Shade attack only seemed to make it angrier.

Ken looked around for an exit, but the only way out was the staircase behind the infected, or the window he had flown in from which he had closed tight. His only hope was to fly up to the top floor and through one of the open windows. He knew there was one open window up their cause a faint breeze was emanating from that staircase. It was a long shot but he had no choice, so he looked back the Infected Jynx and used a Shadow Ball, his strongest attack, then flew over to the stairs and up to the top floor.

He kept himself entertained drawing, but once he raised his head he saw 2 figures in the dark, one of the glowing with fire, the other, more distant, glowing with power. He yelped startled, jumping back and rolled into a bush behind himself whimpering as his feet were hurt.

He noticed a large thorn on one of his foot and tried to take it off as he struggled, but he stopped distracting himself by staring at the sky how the tower tried to catch the moon, he rised his tiny arms up trying to help the tower. He giggled as he was playing around with his own childish imagination, completely forgetting the danger.

The Quilava was aware of the presence of another Pokemon behind him, but it was being quiet and unusually still. It could not have been infected if it was being so still...after all, their brains just seemed to melt away. He glanced back over his shoulder to look at the newcomer; it was a Lucario, and judging by its powerful aura, it was not infected at all. This gave him the courage to keep his back turned to it.

Explotaro gave a soft yelp of concern and padded quickly up to the Venonat. It couldn't have been infected if it had that reaction to his presence. He bent his head and tugged on the thorn sticking out of the Venonat's foot, trying his best to pull it out. The creature had to be able to run if they ran into any Infected...

Khan blinked as the two Pokemon appeared to notice him and disappear behind a bush, yelping. It bothered him how they had adjusted to each other perfectly fine, but had been afraid of him. Had he made a mistake with his posture? There was another option, of course: these two Pokemon were indeed among the infected and were merely trying to trick him into coming closer so that they could strike.

His muscles tensed, still poised to attack if he needed to, he crept a little closer to the bush.

"There's no need to do that," he said, his voice flat and almost emotionless. "I am not your enemy. If you are not mine, then I suggest you come out and show yourselves."

    Sprout Tower| Night

The black thing was not just a thing, it was food, but the infuriating thing was a flying type, Siren hated flying types, the where the hardest to catch. It immediately started flying around frantically looking for any way to escape, some part of her almost wanted to laugh at that idea. Siren repeatedly tried to grasp at the murcrow, but it was fast. She tried to throw in a few ice punches during her attempts, but that only resulted in destroying more of the scenery. The damn thing was trying to get past her and go to the top floor to escape, its plan only served to fuel her anger more, to the point where she accidently blew a hole in the side of her tower. The commotion gave it a chance to go towards the stairs, and Siren would have followed it if an upcoming visitor had not stolen her attention. The only thing Siren hated more than food getting away was the possibility of someone else getting to her food, and that undead Leafeon making its way to her tower was obviously trying to do just that. The stupid flying ones usually where stupid enough to come back thinking it’d be safe. She could tolerate that loss, but someone eating her food she could not.

She slipped off the hole she made, her icy grip carving into the side of the tower slowing her momentum down, though also cutting off skin and meat off of it. When it was close enough she catapulted off the tower with a “NEVER!”, and landed on the rival’s back with a muffled crack of its spine. The infected was roaring like crazy, almost as mad as she was by the opposite’s presence. It would not stop squirming and clawing at her, and even with the broken spine it still was able to almost pull her off. But Siren would not have it, “ENOUGH!” With her hands powered by her ice punch Siren grabbed at the undead’s paw that was trying to scratch her and yanked with all her might in a direction that should not be physically possible for a living pokemon until the appendage snapped off. In any other situation she would have bitten into it but she instead used it to beat its owner with it. No matter how hurt she made it. it refused to stop resisting, she ended up abandoning the severed paw for her icy fists and mercilessly beat its head in with her first, “NEVER, NEVER, NEVER,” not stopping even after the undead stopped moving. A mere beating was not enough for her anger, Siren yanked off the leafeon’s crushed head, so all can know their fate. This new being would have to sate her hunger for making her lose her old meal, but when she bit into the dead meat she immediately abandoned that thought, the rotting flesh was horrible, so Siren trudged back to the entrance of her tower, now even more angry than before.

Ken saw the infected Jynx jump out of the tower. Something seemed to get it angrier, but he didn’t care about that. All he wanted was to get out of this tower. Away from the infected that could still be in it.

He made his way to the open window on the top floor and flew out of it. When he looked down he saw the infected Jynx beating on another infected. He had never seen that kind of pokemon before, so he knew it must have been from a different region then Johto. When it was done with the other infected it started to make its way to the entrance, but what Ken saw at the entrance were other pokemon, and from the looks of it, they were still alive. Oh no, if I don’t do something, those pokemon will be in real trouble. He thought to himself. He did a dive for them, hoping they wouldn’t flee when they saw him.

He landed on the ground, but tripped and landed beak first into the dirt. “ow..” Ken stood up and shook his head. He looked around at the other pokemon. Two had fallen into a bush, while the big blue one looked like it was ready to attack if they attacked first. He knew it was only a matter of time before the Jynx made it around to we’re they were so he flew in front of the blue one and said; “You have to get out of here now! There’s an infected coming just around the corner and it’s in a really bad mood.”

((OOC: since the Jynx killed the Leafeon I think its ok if posted.))

Venonat yelped as he felt the thorn being removed from his foot, he rubbed the area where the thorn was than looked at the Quilava. It was a rare pokemon, and he only had saw a few. Tilting his head he patted the Quilava's head in a way to thank the creature for helping him.

When he hears the Lucario he squeaks and kneels down poking his head out of the bush hidding playfully, although failing completely at hidding himself because his large eyes and long antenna could easily be seen. He stares at the Lucario, although his attentions are quickly taken towards the Murkrow comming from the tower.

Explotaro nodded a silent 'you're welcome' to the Venonat before turning his attention to the Lucario. It had been approached by a Murkrow, one of the Pokemon that can spread the infection. But this one seemed to be uninfected, and it sounded like it was in a real hurry...

"You have to get out of here now! There’s an infected coming just around the corner and it’s in a really bad mood."

The Quilava tipped his head to one side curiously. An Infected? Here? Oh, no...
He leaped out of the bushes, igniting the flames on his back as he did. He hesitantly approached the two Pokemon, preparing to attack if necessary. He had a feeling that he was over-thinking things, and that these two were in the same situation that he was, but erring on the side of caution could save his life...

Khan's heart felt like it was going to leap straight out of his chest as the Murkrow swept down right in front of his face. He leapt backwards, readying an attack, but as soon as the newcomer spoke, he began to listen.

"You have to get out of here now! There’s an infected coming just around the corner and it’s in a really bad mood."

"Then let's waste no time," he said immediately. "We have to find a place to hide. Even with four of us it might be a difficult battle." He quickly scanned the area and almost reeled backwards as a powerful, red aura pulsated at him. "He's right, it's close by." He turned back to the Murkrow. "Do you know if there's a place to hide around here?"

(OOC: Crappy post is crappy, heh...)

    Outside Sprout Tower| Night

It was as if all the bottled up rage inside Siren was trying to release itself through her steps, it wasn’t working, but with her heavy and almost stamping walk could have said otherwise. Her anger had not cooled from the short walk from the dead Leafeon, her growing hunger was not letting her calm down. Her broken and bare hands dripping a little coagulated blood behind her like a trail, she was going to go search the city for food when she caught the sight of 4 pokemon stupid enough to go into her tower. He could recognize the murcrow that had escaped her, she loved it when her food made its way back to her, and even happier when it brought along a full coarse meal.

Her hunger would not tolerate any more time wasted not eating, it demanded she run, and so she did straight for the entrance of her tower.

((is short, but not much to write since it's a short trip from the leafeon to the tower))

Ken wasn’t surprised when the blue pokemon leapt backwards when he flew right in front of its face, but it listened to him, and that’s all that mattered. He looked behind him as he heard something only to see it was a Quilava coming out of the bush. It seemed to have heard what he said so he didn’t have to repeat himself.

"Infected, you say? What type of Pokemon is it?" The Quilava said as its head and tail lit up on fire.

“It’s a Jynx, a really ugly one at that.” Ken said as he started to look around back at the Blue one as it asked if there was a safe place he knew about. This was Kens first time in Violet City, but he had heard so much about it from passing trainers and pokemon, and he had flown over the city on his way to the tower that he saw some safe places that could be safe to hide in. “I think the only places that would be safe would ether be the pokemon gym, or center. We cant go back into the tower, cause then you would all be trapped with no way out.”

Ken was starting to panic a bit. He could feel the Jynx getting closer until he finally saw it. “Its already hear!” He yelped. He saw it starting to run at them with what looked like a smile, but it was really creepy. “We have to go! Now!” Ken said as he started to fly off towered the city. “Follow me, I think I know a way to the gym!”

Venonat walked towards them and heard their conversation. He started flailing as he heard that there was an infected nearby and tried to point towards the road that would lead to town indicating for them to hurry.

As eventually they were about to leave, he looked at the opened door and walked to the door closing it, he than scribbled in the ground "It's rude to leave the doors opened", as he was scribbling he heard the Murkrow saying "Its already hear! We have to go! Now!" at that momment Venonat jumped and started running ahead in panic. From the point of sight of others, the actions of this young child would possibly be barelly comical.

    Violet City || Night

The Quilava frowned a bit. The lack of urgency here was a bit irritating... The ante was immediately upped when he heard the angry snarls of an Infected. And they were getting closer and closer. When he saw the Jynx come around the corner, eyes blazing and teeth gnashing, he flinched and all of his hairs stood on end.

Explotaro gave a panicked cry and turned his fiery back to the infected Jynx, unleashing a powerful burst of flame before darting off behind the Murkrow and the Venonat. He knew the Bug-type's short legs wouldn't be able to outrun the Infected, so he nudged the Venonat forward with his nose as he ran along. "We have to hurry to the gym!" he cried. He wasn't entirely sure if there would be safety there...but any place was safer than where they were. He immediately focused all of his energy to his legs, darting along in a zig-zag pattern like an evasive weasel; he was hoping to distract the Infected or confuse her...
