Tansis pricked her ears at Adventus's words, but quickly flattening them to her skull when she glanced once more at the Rattata. The rodent pokemon appeared very young. How would a newly Infected/Undead [Unkilled?] pokemon act? Tansis had not known much of the virus prior to coming to Hoenn, and knew next to nothing about it. She heeded the Weavile's words, however; she took a few steps back, still watching the albino rat carefully.

However, the Delcatty was distracted by a few, small flashes of fire, turning to see that it had come from Seth's wrist. She looked down at the Rattata once more, at Seth's questioning. Tansis's opinion? She didn't have much to say. Suddenly, the Delcatty felt somewhat stupid and inexperienced compared to everybody else on that floor; it seemed as if all the others knew about the virus to some degree, but Tansis herself was just thrown into contact with the infected world barely yesterday.

"I don't know," Tansis replied, echoing what the Pidgey said. "What does the virus do to living pokemon?"

Everything was dark, as well as quiet as Eon sat inside of her pokeball, trapped with no hope of escape. She kept scratching at the inside, hoping that somehow it would open it and she could finally be free once more. Though it was hopeless. An infected bird pokemon had picked her pokeball up and carried her who knows where. She really hated this, she hated that she was trapped, she hated everything right now, all she wanted was to be let out again, to feel the wind in her fur. But that was impossible unless someone, anyone, freed her from this prison.

Eon's ears perked as she heard what sounded like voices coming from the floor just below her. She strained her ears to hear what they where saying, but it was difficult with her being in her pokeball, as well as being a floor above them. So, Eon began to push at the side's of her pokeball until it started to roll. The Eevee kept at it till she felt it begin to fall down a set of stairs. She let out little sounds as she was bounced around inside until it stopped bouncing and began to roll before coming to a stop. Eon now dizzy from her tumble down the stairs.

((Verdzi, you skipped me again, I'm on the team now just so you know ^^; Also, Eon is still in her pokeball, so I need someone to let her out for me please, thanks.))

Seth gave a gasp, and backed up in utter revilement. Adventus looked back over his shoulder, but returns his gaze to the Rattata and instead adjusts his ears to show he is still listening. The horrified bird looked to be on the verge of vomiting, but he held it back and instead spluttered with fright. He honestly thought she would live though this? Adventus thought the old bird would know better than to expect her to recover. After taking in Adventus’s warning, Seth replies sorrowfully. “I’m afraid to say that you may be right, friend.” That manner within his voice is too obvious to Adventus: He, too, is considering a mercy killing. The corridor is silent for a moment, as everyone waits for Seth to finish his thoughts.

“What do you propose we do?”

As he waits for the others to respond first, Adventus thinks. The rattata is beyond saving, but her struggling, half-conscious state shows that the infection has already reached her brain. She looks sickly and hopeless under the glow of the rising sun, which breaks past the shadows of Seth and himself from the window. His arms are crossed with disappointment, at how disappointing it will be to have to kill the poor thing. Just because of this ugly virus.

Blu is the first to provide some words. It is limited to only doubt, as the blue bird also cannot think of any ideas. Then Tansis answers, agreeing that she also does not know what to do. She brings up an interesting question, though. It is good enough that it garners Adventus’s full attention, making him break a small look of interest towards her. “What does the virus do to living Pokémon?”

Even though he has never actually seen a Living succumb to the infection, he knows a lot about what it does from the many Undead and Infected he has come across. Although he has a rather morbid interest in learning more about this infection, it is still a disturbing process to talk about. “The virus’s effects vary a lot between different species. But it almost always goes straight for the brain; that is surely what the Rattata is experiencing right now.” He shrugs his shoulders, sympathetic to the cat in knowing that it may disturb her. “The only option that cou--“

A very odd noise breaks his conversation, causing him to flick his ears around before looking to the floor’s distant staircase. Something round is bouncing down it, clattering as it hops and rolls to the floor. As it finishes the last step, he recognizes it as a Pokéball. With the momentum it gained down the stairs, it tumbles to a point just past the fragmented ceiling slab and stops. Can this pillar get any more weird? “What in the distortion is a Pokéball doing here?”

((OOC~"What in the distortion" means "what the heck" :b))

Seth had no idea what to say or do. Both Tansis and Blu seemed unsure of what to do with this poor Rattata and, the truth was, neither did he. He wasn't sure if he could bring himself to take another life. He opened his mouth to answer the Delcatty's question but quickly closed it again when Adventus provided the answer. His fist remained clenched and the flames continued to flicker from his wrist as he frowned down at the rodent lying trembling in her own vomit. His expression hardened; he had made up his mind.

Before he could seek agreement from the others, however, a strange red and white ball came bouncing down the steps towards them. The old Blaziken blinked down at it, confused. He had never seen such a contraption before, yet it was oddly familiar.

Adventus was clearly just as confused as he was. "What in the distortion is a Pokéball doing here?" the Weavile asked as the ball came to a stop near to Seth's feet.

"This is a Poke Ball?" Seth exclaimed, bending down and picking the ball up and examining it. It looked comically small in his large hand. "Goodness, they have certainly changed since I last saw them." His eyes held an almost childlike curiosity as his thumb pressed the button in the centre of the Poke Ball.

Blu watched as Adventus found a Poké ball. “What in the distortion is a Pokéball doing here?” Blu replied quickly. "Probably left here by a careless Pokémon trainer. Lots of humans tried scaling this tower, searching for Rayquaza, and ultimately failing due to the high-leveled Pokémon that live here." Seth walked up to Adventus. "This is a Poke Ball?" Seth said, remarking on how tiny it was. He picked it up, looking minuscule in his hand. "Goodness, they have certainly changed since I last saw them." Blu had almost said something when she was interrupted. There was a loud growling rumble of some sort. Blu looked around. The noise came on again. She then looked down at her stomach, embarrassed. "Ohh... I'm hungry..." She got up. "If you guys don't mind, I'm gonna look for something to eat. Anyone coming with me?"

Eon was still dizzy as she felt her pokeball get picked up. She could hear the voices clearly now, and they seemed to come from different pokemon. She felt her pokeball expand, meaning that someone must have pressed the button in the middle, turning the pokeball to its real size. Though she was grateful for the extra space, she was still trapped. "Someone let me out of here!" She shouted, starting the bump against the side of the pokeball once again, shaking it. Eon know no one could hear her from inside her pokeball, but she hoped that by moving it, they would know someone was still inside.

Tansis frowned. Well, she knew what happened to those pokemon who had long since been consumed by the virus. But what happens to a freshly infected pokemon? Do they instantly turn into bloodthirsty zombie-monsters? Or do they retain some of their old memories, first? The Delcatty opened her mouth to ask, but she was distracted by the sudden entrance of a pokemon to the Fifth Floor.

So first, she sees a singing Quilava. Then she gets picked up by some ghost. Third, a Weavile flies into the tower via undead birdie. Suddenly, there's a Blaziken, and some nerdy looking Furret falls out of the sky, only to disappear. Afterwards, two, random, weird-colored pokemon, and now a pokeball.

Nope, her day at the tower couldn't get weirder.

Tansis sighed as Seth picked up the pokeball and expanded it. She pricked her ears at his comment, about not seeing one in a while. She assumed that he meant that he used to be a trainer-owned pokemon, but either his trainer died or he was released a long time ago. The Prim Pokemon was wondering what his past was like, when she saw the ball move. Just slightly, but it still moved.

"I think there's someone in there," Tansis commented to Seth, her tail sweeping across the grimy ground. "Just throw the pokeball and if there's someone in there, they'll be released." Well, Tansis guessed she didn't really have to tell the wise Blaziken on how to release a pokemon from a pokeball, but she said it anyway. Too much information didn't hurt, usually.

A quiet, growling sound echoed through the quiet fifth floor, and Tansis looked around, alarmed, first instinct thinking it was another Infected from the floor below. After a few seconds of wariness, however, she saw Blu look down, embarrassed, and realized the actual source of the growling. The Delcatty stared for a second, before sighing. She had honestly thought it was an enemy, or maybe the Rattata had woken up again....

    ...Dang, she was getting paranoid.

Tansis shook her head to clear her thoughts, before looking at the blue Pidgey. Although not much, Tansis had gotten some rest, and she supposed she couldn't let Blu just go off alone.

"I'll come with you," she volunteered, her tail still swishing slightly.

Adventus looks with curiosity as Seth picks up the Pokéball; there could be only one reason a random Pokéball would roll down the stairs. From the loose scraps of information he learned on them, they can hold Pokémon within them using some whimsical technology. As he thinks, Seth expresses his amazement at the contraption. “Goodness, they have certainly changed since I last saw them.” While keeping an eye still upon the Rattata, not wanting to allow it to do anything dangerous while his back is turned, he turns aside to pay half of his attention to Seth. Blu chirps to Adventus, breaking his attention from the interesting situation. “Probably left here by a careless Pokémon trainer. Lots of Humans tried scaling this tower, searching for Rayquaza, and ultimate failing due to the high-leveled Pokémon that live here.”

He nods in agreement; the concept makes sense. But how did the ball get there? It must have fallen from a bird’s grasp, unless the Pokémon ends up being gaunt and unhealthy, of which then he can assume that it was left by a dead trainer. Before he can finish his contemplation, the fire bird pokes at a button upon the red-and-white sphere’s center. It causes it to spontaneously enlarge within his hand, making a small mechanical whirring noise as it does so. Not too soon after, the ball shudders in his grip. With the way it is shifting, Adventus can definitely tell there is someone inside--even though the idea confuses him to no end.

The Weavile looks with a strong interest, almost losing his attention over the white rodent; he has tried messing around with the few Pokéballs he has come across, and even tried to see what they could do, but this is the first time he has ever seen someone operate them correctly. But he relents in his curiosity, if for the sake of not revealing his completely wild upbringing to the others. They do not need to know that. Not yet.

Tansis sighs with contempt--Adventus listens over his shoulder, and can only guess what she is thinking. So there has been a Dusknoir, a Quilava, and a Furret that have all magically vanished from their presence. Now there’s an old Blaziken, a blue Pidgey, and a diseased white Rattata. This day really is getting weird. She answers to Seth’s befuddlement, telling him how to release the Pokémon inside. While Adventus watches him, he hears a guttural growl. After switching around his gaze, he catches the noise coming from the Pidgey. She excuses herself, wishing to go find something to eat. Tansis agrees to follow with, but he is not sure if that would be a good decision. As easily as his feral senses can tell him, she is not a fighter. She looks to be more of a, how could he consider her, smart and graceful person?

A suggestion may be in order, since the lower floors are surely disturbed by the few remaining Undead. “Maybe you two could search the rooftop? I am not too sure if you will encounter anything vicious, though; there may be a few berries growing up there, especially in this warm weather.” Adventus grits his sharp teeth a little as he considers now just how miserable this weather is. It is warm, humid, and sunny--the three things he hates most. Instead of letting himself dawdle on pointless thoughts, he looks back to view the Rattata’s condition, while he switches a glance to the ball still in Seth’s hand. Although he would prefer to go with Tansis and Blu, he must stay behind and keep watch over the Rattata. Seth may not have the heart to kill it if it turns Undead.

Seth's curious eyes widened as the Poke Ball expanded in his hand and became twice its original size. He started to wonder just how long it had been since he had seen a Poke Ball. This was, even though it was its full size, was half the size of the ones he remembered and now was coloured red and white rather than just grey. He couldn't even remember how it felt to be inside of one.

The old Blaziken gasped as the ball jerked slightly in his hand. He tightened his grip, frightened of dropping it. "I think there's someone in there," Tansis said after appearing to actually see the movement. "Just throw the pokeball and if there's someone in there, they'll be released."

"Throw it?" Seth blinked down at Tansis. "Are you sure? It won't break?" He looked at the Poke Ball again. It was made of quite a thin plastic material and Seth was worried that it would simply shatter if it hit the floor. But somehow he knew that these young Pokemon knew a little more about modern Poke Ball technology than he did at his old age, so he decided to trust the Delcatty.

He gently threw the ball and it landed with a slight bounce a few feet in front of him.

"I'll come with you," Tansis offered. That's good. Now I don't have to forage alone... Blu thought. “Maybe you two could search the rooftop? I am not too sure if you will encounter anything vicious, though; there may be a few berries growing up there, especially in this warm weather,” Adventus said. Hmm... It doesn't seem like an Ice-type would like this kind of weather. I don't think it's that good for him... "Oh! Smart. I would've done something more reckless." She said after her moment of pondering. She turned to Tansis. "Come on, let's go. I'm starving." She walked her slightly limping walk up the stairs, leaving just before hearing the clack of a Poké Ball hit the floor. I wonder who is in there? I guess I'll see when we come back.

Alice shivered, her body wracked with tremors. Eventually her eyes snapped open. "H-he-hello?" Alice asked hesitantly. As she looked around she saw a blur of colors and all she could hear were jumbled messes of words. Even though she had just awoken it felt as if she were still dreaming. The only vice she heard loud and clear was that of the monster she had just wagged a battle with.

"Let me out child. LET ME OUT NOW!" The voice in Alice's head screamed. All the screaming and all the colors were too much for little Alice. Unsteady the Rattata started to heave and next thing she knew she was throwing up once more.

Tansis blinked, hearing the Weavile talk again. Man, he was pretty talkative, huh? Well, at least he seemed like the smart, advice-giving type, not the annoying, talk-for-the-hell-of-it type. The Delcatty turned around, fixing her violet gaze on Adventus, listening to him talk about the rooftop floor. Tansis suspected that the Weavile suggested going to the rooftop because she and her companion probably weren't very strong, and slightly quirked an eyebrow, but didn't complain. After all, she had a hard time just trying to get up to the fifth floor in the first place, and mostly just ran away anyway.

"Thank you, we'll go do just that," Tansis answered Adventus with a smile. She stopped for a moment to answer Seth that no, the ball wouldn't break, and watch him toss it. However, she didn't stick around to watch what would happen, nor did she see the Rattata wake up, as the Delcatty followed Blu who was already making her way up the stairs.

    Sky Pillar, Rooftop || Noon

Tansis let out a purr of relief as the sunlight hit her tan and purple fur. It wasn't like she hadn't felt sunlight in forever or anything, but the warmth was welcome after being in a dank, molding tower floor for a while. However, she didn't let the pleasure get to her mind; the rooftop was more in ruins than the other floors, mainly due to it not being as inhabited or protected by another roof, so there were holes or other debris everywhere. She looked around on the decrepit rooftop, her eyes catching sight of a couple of very small berry bushes. Being made out of stone, the tower didn't provide much nourishment or grounds for plants to grow. However, some of the rocks that were eroded away into soil were able to harbor few plant life.

Well, good for us, Tansis thought, as she made her way over to one, padding lightly. She bent down to sniff a small Oran berry bush, with another happy purr. Thankfully, there were ripe ones on the branches. The team would need these berries, as they held some healing properties. Next to it was an even smaller Pecha berry bush. None seemed just ripe, yet, though; given a few days, however, the bush would probably be weighed down with a couple of the sweet fruits.

"Lucky there were berries here, huh?" she said, glancing over at the Pidgey.

Eon felt the pokeball get tossed, then it hit the ground and she could feel herself being let out. She finally saw light, and it made her shut her eyes as she emerged from the pokeball. She shook herself and stretched, something she couldn't really do cooped up in that pokeball. Opening her eyes again she looked around before turning to face the pokemon that had let her free.

Eon didn't have a friendly face on, she had a somewhat hateful expression on as she looked at the Blaziken that stood before her. There was also a Weavile and Rattata, though the Rattata didn't look very well. The Eevee didn't really know what to say to these pokemon. She turned her head so she wouldn't look them in the face. "Thanks," she said, glancing at the pokemon from the corner of her eyes. If they made any sudden movements, she wouldn't hold back on attacking them. She never held back.

((OOC: I supposed that we should go onto Noontime now :b The morning seems long enough now, unless anyone disagrees.))

Tansis agrees with Adventus’s suggestion of heading to the rooftop. She replies with a kind smile, and Adventus gives a small, respectful nod back to her. “Thank you, we’ll go do just that.” Blu also chirps out her thanks, amusing him with her saying she would have done something more reckless before turning to the Delcatty. After a short chirp the both of them depart. Adventus watches as the Delcatty and Pidgey head up the stairs to the rooftop, leaving him with Seth, the Rattata, and the stranger now emerging from the gently tossed pokéball. The red light produced by the opening sphere surprises him for a moment, as he has never seen a Pokéball open before. As the energy forms into a being, he begins to discern it as an Eevee.

After a shake of its fur and a stretch, the small fox turns towards them. It somehow does not surprise Adventus that its demeanor is rather hostile--even hateful. The Eevee turns away from them, giving a reply while glancing over its shoulder. From the sound of its voice, it is a female. “Thanks.”

Adventus nods, his arms crossed in a non-threatening appearance to the newcomer. Finally, someone with some sense of distrust in them, he thinks. That unfriendly look in her eye makes him alert--she easily shows that she will retaliate if provoked in any way. It would be a good idea to calm her at least a little. “Do not worry, Eevee. As long as you do not attack me, I will not attack you.”

There really is not anything else he has to say--she looks to be a self-capable person, and he has no reason for begging the question of her joining the group. Nonetheless, maybe offering would make for a good choice of words. After a nasal sigh he addresses her again. “So, what do you plan to do? You’re on Sky Pillar, and the lower floors have some pretty nasty Undead.”

Just then, he hears a random voice. It sounds feminine as well, but very weak. It makes him perk his ears up, and he stops talking as he discerns it. The Rattata? But before he can turn around, the rodent whispers out, asking for what is happening to herself. When he turns to look, he sees that the Rattata is half-conscious. He steps away when she begins to regurgitate again. Morbid disappointment picks at his emotions, and he can only think of just how horrid her pain is. Despite knowing that such weaknesses happen, he has never enjoyed tending to the ill--especially when the person is sick beyond help. Besides, how is he going to explain to her that she is going to die an unstoppable, agonizing death? He musters the best of his rather degraded social skills, and gives her as best an answer as he can find.

“You are ill, Rattata. Try to conserve your energy.”

He looks over to his left towards the Eevee, and can easily understand that she shares his mutual distrust for others. He feels like he could say something else, though, but he has nothing. Instead, he rises back up, seeing that the Rattata’s vomiting may have stopped for now, and it did not appear bad enough that he would have to move her again. Conveniently, he finds that the overly friendly Seth had not clucked out his greetings to the Eevee yet. “So Seth, you going to introduce yourself to the Eevee yet?” The Weavile gives a smirk to him, as Adventus tries to scavenge whatever humor he can find in his boredom. As much as he does not want to trust the fire bird, he cannot help but try and joke at him in a gesture of good will.

(OoC-just to clarify, the "Let me out child. LET ME OUT NOW!" was a voice in Alice's head, therefor Adventus would not been able to hear it. and just for future ref, I put all thoughts and headvoices in italics)

Alice twitched and shivered when the vomiting finally stopped. Slowly the world became more clear to her, she could make out shapes and understand the voices. Alice heard the sound of metal on concrete as a pokeball hit it, and then the sound of something being released.A new blurry shape appeared and it speak, but she could still not make out distinct words.

The Rattata eyed the newcomer with a bit of discontent but in truth she was nervous. Wondering how long until it would happen, how long till she became a monster."W-w-whats happening to me?" Alice asked weakly, her voice sounded raspy and agitated. This was no doubt because of the vomiting, Alice just hoped it had stopped for good.

Upon reaching the roof, Blu and Tansis searched for berry plants. Tansis found two next to each other- a small Oran bush and an even smaller Pecha bush. The Oran bush had some small fruits, and the Pecha, upon examination, had a few greenish-pink berries in their trademark heart shape. "Lucky there were berries here, huh?" Blu picked an Oran berry and messily devoured it. "Yup... Arceus, I can't remember the last time I've eaten a berry. Oh, wow, it's so good... Mmmmf..." The navy-blue juice of the Oran berry stained her beak and the feathers around it. "Huh, wonder why Rayquaza would let his own tower fall into such disrepair." She pondered this for a minute. "Or is it like a Ho-Oh and Bell Tower case? Did he even want this tower built? But I've heard he roosted here many times before... Huh. Wonder what happened to him." She grabbed a few Orans and walked over to the stairwell, slightly limping as she would always. "Let's bring these back. I think the Ratatta might need it, and I'm not quite sure about Adventus or Seth."

[[OOC: I'm really sorry for the delay, there was some massive confusion on my part. My laptop may or may not have screwed up, but I thought Winter was going to post, and didn't see that she went into SafeHouse on Thursday for some reason. .n.; And now I'm just really confused.

Anyway, skip, please. I'm not really in a creative writing mood right now. Let's just say Tansis went downstairs with Blu.]]

The Poke Ball split open and released a Pokemon that Seth instantly recognised as an Eevee. He went to smile at the newcomer and welcome her, but stopped as the Eevee glared at him. Seth blinked, a little surprised by her attitude. Surely she was grateful that she had been released, but she certainly wasn't acting like it.

"Thanks," she said, briefly glancing at them all from the corner of her eye. Seth didn't know what to think about this Eevee. The way that she was behaving suggested that she was probably uneasy around others and was a bit nervous. Seth decided to try and convince her that there was no reason to act this way by showing her that he wasn't a threat.

His knees cracked as he bent down and gave the Eevee a warm smile. "You're most welcome. It must've been quite a tight squeeze in there, hm? Well, allow me to introduce myself. I am Seth." He lowered his head a little and looked the Eevee straight in the eyes with a look of sternness. "Do you think you can tell me yours?" He had guessed by her attitude that this Eevee didn't really know how to be polite and was ready to talk some sense into her if she replied rudely. He'd dealt with enough troublemakers in his long lifetime and knew how to deal with them.

"W-w-whats happening to me?" a weak voice whimpered. Seth looked round at the Rattata and noticed that she was sitting up. Her voice sounded dry and cracked, no doubt because of all the vomiting she had done. Seth simply looked at her with a stricken look on his old face. He did not know what to say.

Eon looked at the Blaziken, her hateful eyes looking as if she could see right into his very being. She backed away as he came closer, letting out a growl. "You're most welcome. It must've been quite a tight squeeze in there, hm? Well, allow me to introduce myself. I am Seth." He said, bending down. She could tell just from looking at him that he was old, really old, perhaps grandpa old, maybe older. "Do you think you can tell me yours?"

Eon stared at him before responding. "Eon." Was all she said. She didn't know these pokemon, and she wasn't going to get to know them, not now, and hopefully not ever. She didn't need friends, friends only slowed you down, and he wasn't ready to be slowed down by these pokemon.

"W-w-whats happening to me?" Eon turned her attention to the Rattata, who looked really sick, and it was giving off a scent she did not like. The Eevee let out another growl before she crept closer to the rattata. The thing really was sick, and was surely going to die soon. And how it was, it was going to be a painful end, and it was just going to get up and attack them again. She may have been stuck in a pokeball, but she still knew what was going on from pokemon she had heard, but these where the first to hear her plea to let her out.

Eon knelt closer to the Rattatas ear. "Don't worry, your suffering ends here." She said in the nicest voice she could muster, which wasn't much. She looked into its eyes and saw fear, fear that would soon be gone. Eon opened her jaws and bit down onto the Rattatas neck, blocking the wind pipe so that it couldn't breath. She looked into its eyes once more before she saw the life leave them. The Rattata was dead, and she was the one that kill it.

Sky Pillar, Fifth Floor || Noon || 14

Tansis padded down the stairs, a couple of berries, wrapped around her red scarf, being carried carefully in her mouth. She almost slipped a few times on the mildew that grew on the steps, and she growled in frustration. Already, the Delcatty missed the sunlight of outside. She had taken off her scarf and placed some ripe berries in it for more comfortable carrying, but it wasn't much; there weren't many berry bushes on the rooftop, and most of them were still just not ripe yet. However, given a couple more days, maybe a week or two, they should be, or so Tansis hoped. Berries were their only food source right now, and if there weren't berries, the group would have to risk going all the way downstairs, past legions of Undead, to try at the bushes at the base of the tower or maybe fishing; but even that might prove to be fruitless.

Tansis glanced over, making sure that Blu would keep up. She wondered why the bird was limping so much; was she injured? Tansis didn't want to have to deal with another vomiting, zombie-turning pokemon, so she decided to ask the Pidgey about it later. Even if the blue bird didn't get infected, any sort of disablement might result in death or serious injury, now. Well, the Pidgey could fly, sure, but what if there was some place in the tower that was too small or chaotic to fly in? Tansis thought it would be better to be safe than sorry, for sure.

When the Delcatty stepped foot back to the fifth floor to meet back with the others, the first thing she noticed was that there was one more pokemon with them who wasn't there before. Tansis flicked an ear; this must be the pokemon that emerged from the ball that Seth had thrown. She appeared to be an Eevee, but... the newcomer had an air of irritability around her. Tansis had arrived just in time to hear the Eevee state her name to Seth: 'Eon'. It was a pretty cool name, she reckoned.

    "W-w-what's happening to me?"

Oh good, the Rattata was awake, and more importantly, able to talk and not trying to chomp out anyone's guts, yet. Tansis, who was never one who enjoyed fighting, let alone killing, wanted to talk with everyone else about what they were going to do with her. However, before she could even take one step forward, the Eevee had gone over and bit down on the Rattata's neck without saying a word. Just within seconds, the Rattata went even more limp than before, her eyes turning glassy, reflecting death.

Tansis dropped the scarf of berries she held, and stared at the Eevee with wide eyes. Not exactly shock, but she didn't expect Eon to just go over and kill the Rattata, even if it was, from what it looked like, a mercy killing. Just like that, the Rattata was dead, before Tansis could even ask her name. There was one less member in the party, now. The Prim Pokemon's purple eyes stared into the rat's eyes, before looking up at Eon, then at Seth. He had an expression on his face that looked like he was bemused. Tansis probably did, too. She cleared her throat, removing her eyes from the scene and bending her neck down to pick up the scarf again.

"Uhm, wer back," Tansis said, working her words around the scarf in her mouth. She gestured to Blu with her tail, as well. "We foun' some berries on th' roofto'."

Seth finally responds to the Eevee himself--Adventus expected him to be the first to respond, especially with the fire bird being the friendly thing he is. As the bird steps over, an easy smile comes over his face and he harmlessly introduces himself, and asks simply for her name. The seriousness in the bird’s tone is obvious, and clear to the newcomer.

Adventus glares at Seth while the blaziken is preoccupied, but removes his rather irate stare from the bird before he can turn around and see it. Seth is no doubt inclined to take a leader role, and with leadership comes conflict. They need one, but to a Clan weavile like Adventus this is a very serious matter. This is a responsibility, and it is mentionable that Seth is not a weavile; he may not have even dealt with his kind before! As he considers the bird’s potential, the eevee singly gives out her name. “Eon.” Eon? What an interesting name.

When the eevee hears the begging of the rattata and comes over to it, his interest piques. With a strange and cold mercy she whispers into one of the rat’s ears. “Don’t worry, your suffering ends here.” As he expected, the Eevee does not hesitate in snapping the rat’s spine with her sharp fangs. It was almost as if she was trying to do a favor for them, in releasing her from that Pokéball. To him, her action is merely a mercy kill and he does somehow wish to thank her, but he holds his tongue and does not speak. With all of these other Pokémon around, he does not want to unnerve any one of them with his morbid talk. The thoughts echo in his head, though. I could not have done better myself, Eon. Instead of speaking, the Weavile merely gives an accepting nod, and then looks over his shoulder to heed the return of Blu and Tansis. He heard them returning just a while ago, and it would seem that they have seen the newcomer kill off the small rodent.

Tansis appears not too bothered by the death--although she still seems struck by it, and as he follows her gaze to Seth, he sees that he appears to have been more disturbed by the mercy killing than her.

From behind Seth, Tansis speaks behind a mouthful of scarf. “Uhm, wer back.” After a short gesture of her tail towards Blu, she continues. “We foun’ some berries on th’ roofto’.” Adventus gives a humble nod of appreciation to her and the Pidgey, before looking back down to the rattata again. Can they really trust this eevee? She may be decietful, and she certainly does not like their presence.

((OOC: I shall be placing Adventus into the Safehouse for the week, but I should be back out by the next weekend ^w^))

"Eon," the Eevee replied, staring at him. Seth was glad that he had received a response from her, even though she was still displaying unnecessary hostility. The old Blaziken's gaze softened as he stood up. He towered over Eon as he spoke. "It is nice to meet you, Eon. Might I suggest that you calm yourself down a little? None of us intend to harm you."

Eon turned away from him and wandered over to the sick Rattata. Seth watched carefully as she bent her head down to examine her. He was a little worried about how close her mouth was to her neck. He knew what was about to happen, yet something told him not to interfere. Eon's mouth closed around the Rattata's throat and she was dead in less than half a minute. Seth sighed sadly and bowed his head in respect. He knew that the Rattata's death had been inevitable. He just hoped that she hadn't felt much pain...

"I ... I must thank you," he said to Eon, raising his head again. His eyes were wet with tears. "You have spared us quite a task. I can only hope that she is now in a place where nothing can hurt her." In his old age, Seth had often wondered about where he would go when his age finally caught up with him. Either he would die a peaceful death in his sleep, or be murdered by the undead. The thought of the latter made him feel sick; he had lived a life far too long and glorious to die in such a wretched way. What am I thinking? No one deserves to die like that.

"Uhm, wer back." A muffled voice from behind snapped him out of his morbid thoughts. He turned to see Tansis and Blu. The Delcatty was holding her scarf in her mouth and it was full to the brim with berries. "We foun' some berries on th' roofto'."

Seth tried to smile at them. "Wonderful to hear. Well done to you both." It certainly doesn't seem that Rayquaza is up there after all, he thought grimly to himself. "But, as you can see, I'm afraid that there are other matters that need tending to before I can eat." He bent down and gently placed his hand underneath the Rattata and lifted her off the ground. Her tiny body fitted perfectly in his large hand. "I am going back down to the foot of the tower to bury her. Anyone who wants to come with me is welcome." Without another word he started to move slowly towards the staircase.

Blu came down the stairs a little bit after Tansis. A disappointed look spread over Blu's face as she arrived, just in time to see Eon's fangs come down on Alice's neck with a sickening, yet mighty, crunch. She fluttered over to it. "Hey, Eevee. You can't just kill Pokémon as you like..." She looked at Alice's corpse. "I understand this was a mercy killing, but the least you could have done was ask for permission. It's not nice to kill others, nope." She thought for a moment. "Did you come out of that Poké ball?" She examined the Eevee, head to toe. It was much shorter than her, her being half a foot taller than she should have. It was somewhat awkward. The Eevee had a mean look plastered onto her face, and she had a sassy air to her. Blu decided it would be best if she left it alone.
"I am going back down to the foot of the tower to bury her. Anyone who wants to come with me is welcome," Seth said, almost as if it were the words killing someone. "I'm coming, too," Blu stated, following Seth.

(OoC: I know you got permission, but I can't break the fourth wall, now, can I?)
