History In an age long past, Registeel and his siblings were formed from the earth by the Legendary Regigigas. They lived together, the three children inseparable and always guarded by Regigigas. Eventually, however, they would not be seen as mere children-over time, a race of flesh-and-blood, intelligent creatures called humans began to worship the golem trio alongside Regigigas, seeing them as all-powerful deities. Though Registeel had known of humans and seen them before, he had never known what it was like to be treated as a god. He accepted their reverence, enjoying the acknowledgement of his power, but ultimately did not think much of humans otherwise.

As time went on, the humans' love of the titans morphed into fear, and then eventually defiance. They turned on Registeel and his family, sealing each golem away in special prisons scattered across the land. Registeel himself was locked away in a tomb under the earth, and forced into a slumber he could not awaken from. Centuries passed by, but the steel golem was only aware of the tiniest sensations, and he could not discern time among them. Through the entire ordeal, he could sense the other golems in their prisons, far away and perhaps separated from him forever.

But then came a cataclysm, a shift in the world itself that ripped Registeel from his deep slumber. It was a feeling stronger than any he had experienced before, and upon leaving the tomb, he could understand why. He did not have to travel far to see that the land was in ruins, and that it was utterly alien to him. The insane Pokemon that covered the continent did nothing to scare Registeel, and it was not long before he began his search for his siblings, to free them from where the humans had imprisoned them so long ago. The Legend set his sights first upon the Hoenn desert, where surely Regirock would be slumbering beneath the sands. Once he was free, the others would follow. His family would not stay trapped forever.
Appearance "The top-half of Registeel's body is spherical and gray with a black stripe running down its "face". Its face consists of seven red dots in a hexagonal formation. It has black arms with three fingers each and cylindrical legs. While Registeel has been classified as a Steel-type Pokémon, its body is actually made of a material that is harder than any known metal. However, this material stretches and shrinks despite its hardness. Its body was tempered by pressure underground over thousands of years."
-Bulbapedia

Registeel's appearance has remained unaltered, even after his reawakening.
Personality

•He sees showing emotions as a waste of his time, especially since he is not capable of visual expression and hardly bothers with body language. Registeel finds the idea of trying to emulate other Pokemon or human's habits to be both degrading and pointless, since they'll never achieve the same connection he had with his siblings and Regigigas. That leaves verbal expression...another concept Registeel is not fond of. Thus, he is typically stoic, and if you're lucky, he'll express slight annoyance.

•Registeel is quite detached from most of the world, caring nothing for anyone or anything outside of his own family. He rejects attempts to socialize with him, and most conversation (if it could be called that) will end up feeling as though you're talking to a brick wall. An exceptionally irritated brick wall, that is. Being rather fond of silence, he'll either ignore others, not speak himself, and/or say as little as possible.

•Genuinely hates humans. Though he'll express very little of this contempt other than some outward annoyance, Registeel still holds a grudge over him and his family being sealed away for countless centuries. This grudge has morphed into him believing that humanity is nothing but a collection of the ignorant, blindly kicking into the dirt any creature they perceive as being a danger to their fragile egos. This obviously includes the legendary golems, whose superiority was a threat to humans and thus had to be sealed away for as long as possible.

•On a similar note to the previous point, while Registeel is certainly angry over his past, he's also ashamed of his previous helplessness at the hands of humanity. The fact that he and his family, once thought of as both Gods and Legendaries, had their power and minds repressed by humans is the highest form of humiliation. Of course, this shame is well-concealed within his fury towards and hatred for humanity, so even Registeel himself does not fully know the emotion exists within him (and it would not be a good idea to try and inform him).

•He's less harsh towards Pokemon, but still holds himself as being a superior being compared to them. This is especially true for those who travel with humans, or are kept in Pokeballs. Registeel doesn't understand all the nuances of how the device works, as he's only had a few encounters with humans since his awakening, but he doesn't really care: to him, any Pokemon that goes in one is either a brainwashed, or a willing slave. He's not sure which is more pitiable.

•While Registeel does have natural leadership qualities and is perfectly capable of utilizing them, he also has an unpleasant distaste for those who he sees as usurping his "rightful place". Registeel doesn't tolerate attempts to overcome his authority, and is not above using force in order to keep would-be "usurpers" in line. Can be described as authoritarian.

•Registeel is constantly dead serious about everything in his life. He does not laugh at things people say or do, nor does he tell jokes. It is likely he doesn't even know any jokes. If someone happens to use humor that he understands (which is very rare), he will either stare at them or walk away. Registeel simply doesn't know what "lightening the mood" means, nor does he care to. A big part of his indifference to humor is the fact most jokes and figures of speech simply fly over his head.

•He has a poor understanding of both human cultures and of wild Pokemon alike. Despite his insistence on being better than almost anything, Registeel is actually quite ignorant. A lot of this isn't necessarily his fault-he was, after all, sealed away for centuries-but he still perpetuates a disconnect from the lives of other living creatures. Because he doesn't care, Registeel never bothers to learn more about much of anything. This leaves him highly confused by many things humans say, leaving him to substitute his own meanings in place of their actual definitions-which can turn compliments into insults, or jokes into something quite literal.

•Once Registeel has a goal in mind, he will continue to chase it, come hell or high water. Can easily be described as having a one-track mind; trying to deter him from his ambitions is the equivalent of attempting to stop a stampeding Tauros. He has the same single-mindedness towards his own self, refusing to budge on his views or who he truly is-basically, he's incredibly narrow-minded. Registeel may not ever acknowledge it, let alone admit it, but he fears the consequences of being wrong about his own self. In the Legend's mind, being wrong about who he is means he could be wrong about everything-a truly daunting idea, in his mind.

•He is not known for his patience, or altruism. Anyone too weak to keep up with him will be left behind to fend for themselves regardless of who they are or where they happen to be, and he will certainly not tolerate discord around him. Registeel demands a certain amount of endurance and obedience from those who choose to follow him-the fragile and the rebellious have no place with him. If his already-limited patience begins to run out, it is almost guaranteed to be vocalized...and if someone really pisses him off, the results might not be pretty.

•Above all, Registeel despises betrayal. He is slow to forgive and will never forget a slight. Should you earn his respect and trust, and do something to lose it, you are astronomically unlikely to ever regain them-and that's if Registeel doesn't decide to banish you from his sight for eternity. Like with all things in the golem's life, he takes the concept of loyalty very seriously. Of course, this applies in reverse as well-those who manage to earn his respect will find themselves with a powerful ally, and see a side of Registeel that demonstrates far more tolerance and concern than he would ever show otherwise.
