Sirius couldn't help but emit a muffled chuckle into the floor as he lay there sprawled out like roadkill over the threshold. The others were filing in, stepping straight over him; the Delphox huffed as he raised his head to look at them. "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks for asking," he remarked, and was about to say more when a massive roar from downstairs thundered through the walls and floor, startling him to his feet.

Sirius quickly smoothed out his fur and looked around. The room appeared to be deserted, but the darkness left that up for debate. He took his staff back out and ignited it, holding it up. Indeed the small apartment was empty, apart from the dust-covered furniture and-- Sirius stopped as he noticed something leaning against one of the armchairs.

"And what are we suppose to find in here?" Eris asked as Sirius approached the chair and noticed with surprise that it was a wooden staff, not unlike his own. He picked it up and examined it closely.

"It doesn't look like anyone has been in here for a while," Madison casually observed, but by that point Sirius had stopped listening. He channeled some of his psychic power through his arm and into the new staff, and its tip sparked with life. There was no doubt about it - this was a Delphox staff; it had to be if he could use it like his own.

He let the new staff extinguish before putting it down on the couch. He held up his own torch, looking around the room with renowned interest. If there was another Delphox around, he wouldn't be foolish enough to take off without his staff - he still had to be around here somewhere.

"Hey, is anyone else in here?" he called, holding his flame aloft and illuminating the whole room. He caught sight of pair of eyes watching them from a crack in one of the doors, the fire flickering in their reflections.

"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks for asking," Eris turns back to glance at the Delphox who has since starting getting back onto his feet. After noting he is fine and fully capable of picking himself up, the scizor loses interest and turns away. "It doesn't look like anyone has been in here for a while." As the other begin to look around, the scizor and helioptile do as well. The bug-type couldn't shake the feeling of being watched... "Let's make sure of that." Some other words followed that from the lopunny. Using stuff and everyone gone, the words largely feel on deaf ears as the Scizor begins to creep about the room, pincers open.

A light tug on one of the spines on top her head draws her attention away from the matter at hand. Another motion from the electric-type on her shoulder and Eris understands the message. Carefully, she kneels down to allow Gramps to slide carefully to the floor. "Don't go too far." The warning comes out little more than a whisper from the larger armored bug. Regardless, the elder nods and sets off  toward an item that caught his eye.

Gramps wasn't even sure if this would work. Any number of parts within could be broken as a result of an action either before or after the end of the world. However, there was really nothing to lose by trying. "Excuse me--pardon me." Shuffling carefully around the feet of the larger 'mon about the room, the helioptile makes his way towards a pile of mismatched items just outside a fallen drawer. Sorting through assorted screws, cords, and tools his hands reach for a particular slender cylinder.

The surface is a dirtied silver and the lens on top it's funneled top looks scratched as well. Carefully, he raises it to his ear and gives an experimental shake. Little to no rattling. A good sign. Next, he reaches for a large black button. He's seem an item extraordinarily similar to this used by his late trainer. It had to be this--there was only one button. Nothing changes after an audible click. Gramps tries again then once more, but to no avail. His brow knits together in thought. There was one other thing he could try...

"Hey, is anyone else in here?" The thought of finding a threat makes the scizor snap her pincers together in anticipation. Winning a fight would certainly be a step towards improving her mood...but nothing comes out even as Sirius illuminates the room with his torch though he certainly is acting as if he found something. In a similar flicker of light, Gramps finally activates the device within his hands. An electrical charge flows from his being to supply the power to the flashlight.

The beam initially flies straight to the cieling, shining an unnaturally white/blue-ish hue. However, after adjusting his stance to accommodate the hefty item, he is able to shine it through the dark doorway and aims for the flicker of reflections Sirius' flame already revealed. "H-hello?"

He swore he could feel that roar vibrate through every bone in his body, reminding the Normal type that there was a very angry dragon relatively close by that was out for their blood- and just how fragile he really was in comparison. Images of what it had done to generously and effortlessly diminish their numbers flashed through his mind, and Madison had to quickly shake his head in an attempt to clear it of such grotesque thoughts. We need to get out of here. Forget all of this poking and prodding around crap- I'm not getting myself killed just because someone decided to be nosy. There has to be a way out of here.

He clenched his fist, lighting it up with flames. Holding the attack without intending to hit anyone with it was difficult for the Lopunny- and a part of him wondered whether that was because he wasn't a Fire type- but he was confident enough in his ability to keep the blaze going long enough to take a look around. There were pictures on the walls, caked with dust, and despite mentally cursing the others for idle curiosity moments before, he felt compelled to take a look at them, regardless- Madison, of course, ignored his own hypocrisy and only raised his burning fist so he could get a better look. He narrowed his eyes slightly at the photos of cheerful, smiling humans, ignoring the way their expressions caused something inside of him to twist painfully, before callously lifting them off of the walls and dropping them to the ground, glass shattering. Nothing behind them. Nothing there. He didn't have any reason to care.

"Hey, is anyone else in here?" His ears twitched at that, and he raised his head, glancing around the room cautiously. Were they being watched? A shiver ran up his spine. Was it just out of paranoia that he suddenly felt the eyes directed their way, or was it something he had been ignorant to that had only come to his attention now that he was focusing on it? "Is it one of them? A pause. "It couldn't be, right? They're too bloodthirsty. We would have known by now."

"H-hello?" The light caught his attention after that, and he winced at the sudden brightness, glancing in the direction the Helioptile shone it in with one eye narrowed to a slit.

"Hey, is anyone else in here?" Orion stiffened, flinching as the delphox caught his gaze. He cursed himself in his mind; of course the light would bounce off reflections! How fucking stupid of him! But as he kept his eyes locked on the other magician, something in his mind clicked. He knew that face. Of course he'd seen his fair share of his own kind before, but this was different. "Is it one of them? Orioan kept his focus on the other fox. He knew that fox. "It couldn't be, right? They're too bloodthirsty. We would have known by now." "H-hello?"

As the others fumbled around his shelter, Orion finally remembered. How could he have forgotten in the first place? His hackles raised with his lip, revealing white, lethal fangs. It was him. That suave, cocky bastard... His own fucking brother. He admonished himself once more-- he should have known who it was from the stink of his ego!

Without warning, Orion slammed the closet door open, nothing but rage and hate on his face. "YOU!" he bellowed, just before launching himself at Sirius, paws outstretched and fangs out for his throat.

This is a mess.

After quick conversation the door the Delphox rams into swings open with ease, revealing a lifeless apartment. Kenna, without much sound, quickly trots forward and inside. She stays cautious, and despite the distinct tremble in her legs and stuttering click of her hooves, quietly sniffs the air and extends her neck for a better view. Madison remarks about the hollow room. "It doesn't look like anyone has been in here for a while."

"Hey, is anyone else in here?" Looking back, the Ponyta catches sight of Sirius nearby the couch, holding his torch to illuminate the darkness. Soon enough, the Helioptile also manages to make a flashlight work, adding to the growing light of the room. With a tap of her hoof and a quick shake of her body, the fire-type flares out her mane larger, the brilliant fire crackling as she walks as a mobile torch.

Opening her mouth to speak, a sudden wave of paranoia washing over her, Kenna's beginning syllable escalates into a frightened yelp when something--something blue--lunges out from the closet. "YOU!" A loud bellow echoes as the form lunges towards the Delphox with outstretched paws.

"Sirius--!!" Kenna calls out, readying a Flame Charge to aid her companion.

Garchomp was beginning to feel frustrated. She was literally running round in circles after this human and his Absol. The rotting dragon roared again upon seeing that they had once again outran her attack, thrashing her head in frustration. She held no memories of human being this difficult to catch before; they were pathetically slow and fragile enough for their bones to snap in one bite. Garchomp's blazing eyes narrowed at the Absol, who was surely the only reason why she hadn't killed the human yet; those Pokemon were fast.

The dragon's legs shook underneath her, their bloodless muscles twitching at the effort to keep her standing. She could only run for so long before her shell of a body gave in, and it looked as though she had reached her limit. She snarled, baring her filthy fangs at her prey's retreating forms. Even if she could sprint, they were too far away for her to catch them before they disappeared, now approaching the far end of the corridor.

Garchomp looked up to notice that she was back in the corridor where she had started chasing the Pokemon from before, and ahead was the staircase they had fled up. The undead who had been fighting them before she had arrived were still lingering in the shadows, cowering in fear at the sight of the Harbinger. Garchomp twitched and looked up at the ceiling as a few particles of dust rained down onto her head. Her Earthquake attack in the opposite corridor had done more than its share of damage, it seemed. One more, and there would surely be hell to pay.

The Harbinger grinned. If she couldn't taste the human's blood, she'd crush him underneath thousands of tons of concrete instead.

Raising her foot and slamming it back down to the ground, Garchomp let loose another Earthquake. As before, a massive crack in the floor zigzagged its way towards the human as he reached the opposite end of the corridor, but this time the attack knocked loose a metal beam that had been propped up against one of the walls. Without the extra support, there was a thunderous rumble as the ceiling in front of her collapsed, the dust and rubble quickly obscuring the human from sight.

The roars and groans of crumbling concrete eventually subsided, leaving a tense silence behind. Garchomp found it rather woeful that she never got to see the human's brutal death. Even if he had managed to outrun the avalanche of concrete, she was sure that her brethren would be more than enough for him to deal with. A hunter did not necessarily have to execute the kill themselves to be death's herald.

The Harbinger turned to leave, snapping up a small Zigzagoon in her jaws as she went, the undead raccoon's snarls abruptly cutting off as she crushed it into a pulp. The world was so large, abundant with both living and dead flesh, both of which would sate her appetite. She would find more prey, more stragglers, and remind them that the Harbingers were to be feared more than death itself.

(Contract complete...I take my leave now.)

Mauville City [Mauville Hills]/Late Night (6)

"Is it one of them?" said Madison as Sirius continued to stare into the flickering pair of eyes spying on them from behind the door. "It couldn't be, right? They're too bloodthirsty. We would have known by now."

No, it was clearly a living Pokemon - probably the Delphox that had left his staff next to the chair? Its eyes still glimmered with life, the flames from Sirius's staff reflected in them. Sirius blinked in confusion; why was it hiding from them?

"You don't need to be scared or anything," Sirius said with a grin, inclining his head at the door. "Come on out - we aren't going to hurt--"

But then, without warning, the door swung open and a blue Delphox stood there looking like he was ready to commit murder. Wait ... blue?!
"YOU!" the fox snarled, and lunged for him with fangs bared.

Instinct propelled Sirius out of the way, the Delphox whipping round and charging in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, the couch happened to be right behind him, and he toppled over the back of it before he could stop. Immediately getting to his feet, Sirius pointed his staff at his attacker, his eyes widening in shock. "Orion."

Here was his little brother, alive and well after all these years. Joy blossomed in Sirius's heart, even as though he darted from one side of the couch to the other to avoid Orion's attacks. He wanted his brother to hug him and tell him that he was happy to see him; why was he trying to kill him?

"Orion--hey! Orion, stop! It's me! It's Sirius, your brother!" Surely this was a mistake and he had simply mistaken him for someone else in the darkness. He and Orion had never had the most brotherly of relationships, but reuniting with a member of your own family after the whole world had gone to hell was nothing less than a miracle. In a moment, Orion would notice his mistake and give him the reaction he wanted.

The floor trembled again, another massive roar echoing up through the walls from downstairs. Whatever this was, it needed to stop immediately or else they wouldn't have any time to get reacquainted at all.

"YOU!"

The creature bellowed from the closet before launching itself at the vulpine magician. The sudden outburst shocking the helioptile to his core. His hands lose their grip on the flashlight which clatters to the dusty floor below and rolls out of reach. It's light flickering into nothingness with its power source detached.

"oh dearohdear..." Gramps breaths to himself, falling onto all fours to scuttle after the dormant light source. He could not help in this fight, no...no he was not a battler. But he could provide light for the others--maybe even a distraction with it. If only he could just...

In stark contrast, the rage-filled cry energizes Eris. Her heavy feet pounding heavy against the floor as her armored body charges towards the fray. "Orion--hey! Orion, stop! It's me! It's Sirius, your brother!" By the time the scizor is able to get close enough to do anything, their group's delphox has already dodged its shiny counterpart.

Admittedly though, with a face-first flip over the couch. Execution side, the maneuver worked. The steel bug stops at the closest side of the couch to her, guarding that direction to deter the shiny from lunging again. With her pincers raised, Eris snaps the appendages open and close with anticipation of a fight. "Don't give me a reason blue boy."

"Excuse me, 'cuse me." The words leave the electric type as a nervous whisper as he scuttles in the direction his flashlight rolled previously. With his light source gone, the aging 'mon was hard pressed to find it among the other debris in the dark. Though, the fire of their ponyta companion bright, crackling mane offered some light in the darkness. Guided by it's orange light, the helioptile reaches his journey's end beside the younger lopunny.

Before this mess, Gramps had never been acquainted with any of them, save for Eris. And although the night has felt like an eternity, he is left grappling for the other's name. Honestly, he cannot remember speaking him much before at all, given though there was not much time to do so. "Excuse me son." Gramps clears his throat, hoping to keep any of his words from catching in the phlegm there. "But, ah, could you give me a hand?"

It took a few moments for it to occur to him that, if he so wished it, he could have disrupted the erupting brawl with his Fake Out attack- at least long enough for the orange Delphox to gain the upper hand over his aggressor. However, the Lopunny refrained, if only because he didn't want to draw unnecessary attention to himself; it seemed as though the blue Fire type only had a bone to pick with Sirius, but Madison wasn't sure how he would react to any interruptions, and quite frankly, he didn't want to get involved. I mean, really, even if blue and angry kills the other one, it's not like we won't already have another Delphox hanging around. He grinned at the thought, albeit only the smallest shred of humor.

There was a piece of furniture, a cabinet or bureau or some other human name that he was only passingly familiar with, and the Normal type slowly started to back his way behind it; just because he didn't want to get involved in the fighting didn't mean he was immune to getting caught up in the crossfire.

"Excuse me son." A blink. Was someone talking to him? The fire in his fist went out, and he crouched down, in part to make himself as small as he possibly could. "But, ah, could you give me a hand?" It was then that he noticed the Helioptile- and, by extension, the extinguished light- for the first time. "Lend you a hand?" Lending anyone a hand wasn't really Madison's cup of tea. Still, he bent down to pick up the flashlight, regardless, wincing slightly upon shining it into his eyes on accident; it might not have been working, but he didn't want to take any chances. Ugh, ugh, ugh, what a strange invention- why did humans even waste their time making this sort of stuff? "How do you know how to use these weird human contraptions? They're so... Odd." He had been with various trainers for as long as he could remember, and while the Lopunny considered himself more knowledgeable about them than the average Pokemon, he certainly never spent much time learning how to use their tools.

"I don't know how much use this thing will be." Still, Madison placed it down next to him, regardless, folding his arms across his knees once his hands were free.

Orion's lunge missed, but it didn't matter; Sirius was scrambling away, and that's all he needed. "Orion--hey! Orion, stop! It's me! It's Sirius, your brother!" his brother called, which he blatantly ignored. Thanks, asshole, I'm aware... Using the moment of chaos to his advantage, he plucked up his staff off the couch with his mouth, then darted to another part of the room, hiding behind a bar lined with cabinets. He didn't care Sirius was behind a couch-- that stupid scizor made sure he wouldn't be open for attack. Not like he could beat Sirius in a fair fight, much less in one where Orion was outnumbered so pitifully. The blue fox's hackles were raised, his teeth still bared in a vicious snarl as he peeked out from behind the bar. The staff was still clamped in his mouth, but its power flared brightly in a blue flame.

The scizor clacked her pincers threateningly, which only caused Orion's fire to blaze brighter. "Don't give me a reason, blue boy."

"I'll fry you to a fucking crisp if you try, Bitch," he snapped, his growl still rumbling through his chest and throat. "I hear your kind and fire don't get along."

((Bitch Brigade, go!))

"Orion--hey! Orion, stop! It's me! It's Sirius, your brother!" The Delphox calls as he skirts around the couch, rudely interrupted by the sharp tremble of the floor and rumble of sound. Kenna stumbles only slightly, firm hooves rooting themselves strict against the flooring beneath her. The Scizor leaps the couch, menacing claws snapping vigorously in the blue fox's general direction--a threat.

Despite the insect's harsh warning, the fox retaliates with sharper words. "I'll fry you to a fucking crisp if you try, Bitch. I hear your kind and fire don't get along." The snarl induces a subtle flinch in the horse, but Kenna shakes the hesitance out from her shuddering spine.

This isn't the time for some feud--not with the rumbling, not with every tremor that lurches it's way upwards from somewhere beneath them. Despite the slight tremble of her voice, the fire-type manages to stammer out a simple sentence. "Don't fight," her mumble is short, quickly gathering her composure to follow up on her initial statement.

"Not with--not with that thing--" she stomps a single hoof lightly as if to gesture beneath them, "still thrashing around."

Mauville City [Mauville Hills]/Late Night (7)

This was just so confusing, so ... upsetting. Sure, he and Orion had never exactly gotten along as brothers should've, but ... why was he trying to kill him? Sirius knew that Orion had several reasons to be jealous of him; his Trainer hadn't exactly been the nicest guy on the planet, but every time he'd seen Orion he'd asked how he was; offered help; cared for him. Sirius remembered all the times he'd lay awake at night worrying for his brother's wellbeing ... had all of that been for nothing?

No. Clearly this was a mistake. Perhaps he hadn't heard him over all the commotion coming from downstairs. In a moment he would realise his error, recognise him for real and give Sirius the hug he felt he'd deserved. After all, just how good of a brother could he have been when they were constantly miles away from each other?

"Don't give me a reason blue boy." In his racing thoughts he hadn't noticed Eris standing guard in front of him, her massive pincers bared. Oh no, no. They couldn't fight. Not now.

"I'll fry you to a fucking crisp if you try, Bitch. I hear your kind and fire don't get along." That was true. If Orion hit Eris with a fire attack, it would do a nasty bit of damage. Not to mention that they couldn't afford to risk having one of their strongest members being down for the count. Sirius needed to stop them before this got out of hand. He didn't want to, of course; he'd have been more than happy to throw himself off the balcony to escape this sudden onslaught of madness, but if anyone in this room could reason with Orion, he could.

"Hey, whoa! Come on you two, knock it off," he said, emerging from his hiding place behind the couch and approaching them with both paws raised. The tip of his staff stuck out slightly underneath his wrist where he had stored it away; if Orion saw that he wasn't willing to attack, maybe he'd calm down.

"Don't fight," said the Ponyta - Kenna, was it? "Not with--not with that thing--still thrashing around."
"Yeah, she's right. Fighting now is the worst possible idea. We've got bigger problems."

He stepped right between the two Pokemon, looking his brother right in the eye with both paws still in the air. "Orion, you need to calm down. It's me. I'm your brother; I'm not going to hurt you." Yes. Maybe now that Orion could see him up close he'd back off a little. Sirius was all to prepared to bolt again should the blue Delphox make any sudden moves though. "J-Just calm down and listen to me, OK?"

"I'll fry you to a fucking crisp if you try, Bitch," He was right. "I hear your kind and fire don't get along." He was right, and Eris knew it. Getting hit with a fire move would mess her up something fierce. The threat made the bug-type visibly flinch, but she held her ground. It was bad enough to flinch, but backing down? She could already hear that bastard laughing if she did that! Punching Blue Boy in the face would be worth the risk of a burn... "Hey, whoa! Come on you two, knock it off,"

"Don't think I'm afraid of you fox." Eris didn't need to turn to know it was Sirius speaking. Of course he'd be the type to try and make everyone play nice. Clearly he missed theb part where his 'brother' attacked them. "Yeah, she's right. Fighting now is the worst possible idea. We've got bigger problems." She moves her pincers from their raised position stiffly and only a bit. Just enough to show her agreement. This would be one nasty place and time to fight. As much as she detested that fact. "What Blue, don't get along with your brother huh?"

Much to Gramps' relief, the lopunny beside him extinguished his flame. Certainly the elderly helioptile never expected the move to be used against his being, but the less battling the better. Soon after, the 'mon crouches down to his level to which the electric-type responds to by standing up taller to meet in the middle. "Lend you a hand?" Nodding vigorously, he watches as the bunny leans over to lift the fallen device. "Oh yes, thank you." He adds, his hands reaching for the flashlight as it is brought within range. "How do you know how to use these weird human contraptions? They're so... Odd."

"Humans do make quite a few interesting things. I don't know how to use a lot of them, but I understand enough of the simpler ones. My trainer demonstrated them." Grasping the device firmly, he tests it out again and produces the light he achieved before. The light flickering on the ceiling and merely acting as another light source. "I don't know how much use this thing will be." The helioptile merely shrugs as best he can while holding the light. "You never know. A light can always be useful."

"Humans do make quite a few interesting things. I don't know how to use a lot of them, but I understand enough of the simpler ones. My trainer demonstrated them." He blinked owlishly in response to the explanation, letting out an amused hum under his breath when the ceiling was illuminated by the contraption's yellowish glow. Did he ever have a human that used such a thing? He must have- there had just been so many the Lopunny didn't remember or didn't consider worth remembering for him to tell. Well, save for one girl in particular, but the Normal type didn't want to think about that. "You never know. A light can always be useful."

"As long as it doesn't bring their attention over here." Madison muttered, gesturing in the direction of the confrontation in progress with a quick jerk of the head. At least the creature downstairs had stopped rampaging; he was getting sick of the building lurching every few minutes like it was about to come down on top of them. Out of all of the possible ways the Lopunny could imagine going, being buried alive was among the worst. Still, he wasn't sure whether to celebrate the sudden silence or not- had the shaking stopped because the creature grew bored enough to wander away, or had it discovered where it's prey had scampered off to and was stealthily preparing an attack to kill them all from the shadows? Whatever was going on, Madison was seriously beginning to dislike having such a vivid, overactive imagination.

"Do they even remember why we came up here in the first place?" The Normal type felt the need to ask, peeking out from behind the furniture that was acting both as his shield and fortress. "Blue Boy doesn't seem infected with that... You know, and we have bigger problems than some mangy mutt with a chip on his shoulder." A pause. "Not that I would ever try to stop them. I'm not dumb enough to try to get into the middle of that." But that wasn't enough to stop him from expressing his displeasure, whether it was wanted or not.

"Hey, whoa! Come on you two, knock it off," Sirius called out, to which Orion had to stomach a dry heave. This fucking guy. He glared from behind the counter, watching he dumb-fuck brother try to make everyone fucking happy, like he always fucking did. It was disgusting. There's no way that horseshit's working on me, he snarled inwardly.

"Don't think I'm afraid of you fox." the scizor warned, which he only extended a paw from his hiding spot to promptly flip her off. It was the best thing about having hands.
"Don't fight," said the Ponyta - Kenna, was it? "Not with--not with that thing--still thrashing around."
"Yeah, she's right. Fighting now is the worst possible idea. We've got bigger problems." Orion scoffed at Sirius' diplomacy, which the scizor seemed to have caught.
"What Blue, don't get along with your brother huh?"
"Fuck you."

Sirius made his way between him and the red bitch, his hands in the air like Orion actually posed a threat. His glare narrowed, hate flaring like a bonfire. That fuck! Sirius KNEW Orion was no match for him. And yet he paraded around like a fucking hostage, when HE was the one cowering in the fucking kitchen? Fucking asshole. "Orion, you need to calm down. It's me. I'm your brother; I'm not going to hurt you." Seriously? SERIOUSLY? The scoff that came out nearly chaffed his throat, it was so loud. "J-Just calm down and listen to me, OK?"

"Yeah, thanks, I didn't know it was you because I'm deaf, dumb and fucking blind," he snapped, snatching the magical staff from his mouth to speak properly. "Of COURSE I know it's you, you ignorant, privileged piece of shit. I could smell the stench of your reeking arrogance the moment you barreled through my door!" Eyes wide, his back hunched and the staff flared with his blue fire furiously. "So you found me-- good job, big brother, you're the fucking best. Now why don't you fuck off and take your squatting assholes with you?"

"Yeah, she's right. Fighting now is the worst possible idea. We've got bigger problems." Kenna exhales a subtle sigh of relief, glad that at least someone heard her amidst the rising tension in the room. Sirius insists on reasoning with the blue Delphox, attempting to quell him with words and affirmations--although the Scizor's taunting remarks aren't helping. The Ponyta worriedly clicks her hooves, flicking her ears to listen for anymore sounds from beneath the floor. It seems to be quieter than earlier...are they safe?

She visibly flinches at the sharp, loud scoff from the blue Delphox, his scathing words growing a knot in her stomach. "Of COURSE I know it's you, you ignorant, privileged piece of shit. I could smell the stench of your reeking arrogance the moment you barreled through my door!" She cringes again, this time at both his barks and the blue flame crackling threateningly on his staff. "So you found me-- good job, big brother, you're the fucking best. Now why don't you fuck off and take your squatting assholes with you?"

Arceus, what sort of problem does this blue Delphox have with Sirius?! Her mane flares in frustration, her own words growing in volume from her previous soft mumbles. "There's more of us than there are of you," she grumbles, "so I don't think you're in any place to just order us to leave. You can't just claim this space for yourself and only yourself."

The rumbling of the earth and piercing, unknown sounds had drawn him out into the open. Red eyes observed with dull interest the ruin and debris that was now scattered everywhere; the Aiveon did not know what to think of it. He still felt off, as if someone had taken pieces of him and ran off afterwards. Who was he, and why was he here? Something echoed in the back of his mind, calling out to him, but he cannot make out any of the words. There were never any answers. Not a name, not a destination...only the faintest memories of his brother. Is...that all I have...? He wasn't really much of a survivor when almost nothing had stayed with him. There was so much missing, something that left him hallow, as if he'd lost half of himself, but he didn't know what to call it-grief, longing, sorrow, nothing seemed to fit.

When he walked along, hoping to leave, his damaged legs gave him an awkward gait; he paid such slow movement no mind. His wings fluttered uselessly behind him, and that left a bitter, yet faint sense of loss-but that didn't make any sense. He'd never been able to fly before, so there was no point in mourning something that never existed. Yet some sort of pain lingered over it anyways...
His ears perked slightly as he made his way around the fallen concrete-muffled sounds, was that what he heard? His mind had to be playing tricks on him, there could be nothing alive beneath that ruin. Surely he was merely hearing things, maybe this was the first sign that he was going crazy. If he left, the sounds would vanish and wouldn't bother him again.

The sounds didn't stop. He knew that whatever was happening it wasn't in his head-it was like someone was destroying the concrete from the inside. Someone was trying to break out. The Aiveon backed away, unable to comprehend what was happening. Nothing could have survived being crushed, so what was trying to get out? Undead? No, not even one of those could've survived...so what was it?

Mauville City [Mauville Hills]/Late Night (8)

"Yeah, thanks, I didn't know it was you because I'm deaf, dumb and fucking blind. Of COURSE I know it's you, you ignorant, privileged piece of shit. I could smell the stench of your reeking arrogance the moment you barreled through my door!" This was a joke, right? It had to be. "So you found me-- good job, big brother, you're the fucking best. Now why don't you fuck off and take your squatting assholes with you?"

Sirius heaved a deep, sad sigh as he looked at his brother, knowing full well that if he offered him the hug he wanted to give him he'd probably lose an eye. Did he really hate him that much? What had he done to deserve this? It wasn't his fault that his Trainer had mistreated him; heck, he'd even tried to help.

But he could see that his brother was serious; he wanted him out, and he wanted him out now.

"There's more of us than there are of you," Kenna grumbled, earning a glance of frustration from Sirius. Antagonising Orion further was not helping. "So I don't think you're in any place to just order us to leave. You can't just claim this space for yourself and only yourself."

"Look, that's enough." Sirius tucked his staff away up his sleeve and held out his hands. "Arguing isn't going to get us anywhere. We need to get out of here, and we need to do it before that thing from downstairs finds its way up here." It had been eerily quiet for a few minutes though; Sirius had felt and heard a massive rumble, but that was while he was darting from one end of the couch to the other as he tried to avoid his brother's attacks, so he hadn't really had much time to dwell on it.

Maybe the Garchomp was gone. Even if that was so, it certainly seemed as though it had left them with more problems than they needed right now. Sirius wasn't sure if he was imagining it or not, but the floor beneath his feet felt slanted ... just a little.

"We'll leave," Sirius said, turning to Orion. "Of course we will. But on one condition: you come with us."

Mauville City [Mauville Hills] || Late Night
Both [8]

Eris smirks. It's all the scizor can do as a paw extends from the darkness to flip her off. It's not like she can respond properly to the action...pincers were great during the apocalypse, but this was one of the many times fingers would have helped. Blue boy had spirit if nothing else.

"Yeah, thanks, I didn't know it was you because I'm deaf, dumb and fucking blind. Of COURSE I know it's you, you ignorant, privileged piece of shit. I could smell the stench of your reeking arrogance the moment you barreled through my door!" As the bug-type watched, Sirius began to tuck his staff away much to her rising concern. "So you found me-- good job, big brother, you're the fucking best. Now why don't you fuck off and take your squatting assholes with you?" Whatever sibling rivalry thing this was, it was likely to end in a fight not--"We'll leave,"

Eris relaxes her arms a hair, pincers lowering slightly as well as her widen eyes turn to watch their mismatched group's leader. "Of course we will. But on one condition: you come with us." Arceus forbid anything ever be easy.

"As long as it doesn't bring their attention over here." Gramps' eyes follow the direction of the nod from the lopunny beside him. This confrontation was not looking good...the newcomer's fire was already blazing with an unnerving blue. Carefully balancing the flashlight still in hand on an angle against the floor, the electric-type peers from around the furniture currently separating them from the scene. "Oh..yes of course." The helioptile responds in a hushed tone as he allows the power he was supplying to fade and the light along with it. "We wouldn't want to get tangled in that. Not good at all.." Truth is, he did want to help, but there was nothing he could say to this stranger and even in his youth he had not been battle savvy.

"Do they even remember why we came up here in the first place?" Just thinking back on the not-so-distant memory sent a shiver down Gramps' spine. "The beasts were downstairs...so we came upstairs. Why this room..? I believe it was to forage for tools for escape or to gather our bearings." Wouldn't the blue fox not want the same things as them? Certainly after the earthquakes... "Blue Boy doesn't seem infected with that... You know, and we have bigger problems than some mangy mutt with a chip on his shoulder." The helioptile nods slowly in agreement, his eyes still lingering on the confrontation before them. "Certainly he can't want to stay here...that thing could still be lurking about."
