HISTORY:
Caught as a young Deerling by a redheaded Ace Trainer, Chosen was a willing and just fawn that bravely took on foes much larger than himself. He did this not because he wanted to prove his strength, but because he sought justice for wrongdoings done by opponent Pokémon. His doting Trainer recognized his potential and taught him moves accordingly; the TM for Retaliate brought out his mind for justice, and Safeguard protected him from low blows dished out by his enemies. His striking green eyes were thought to be unique to him, but later when his Trainer returned to the forest along Unova Route 6, he saw a small herd of Deerling and Sawsbuck that all had the same bold green eyes. This color made his eyes sensitive, and he began to turn nearsighted; to accommodate this, his Trainer equipped a pair of glasses to him.
When he Evolved into Sawsbuck in the month of January, the flowers on his budding Antlers took on a brilliant red color instead of deep pink, baffling his Trainer. the antlers themselves were also a deep, glossy black color instead of brown. The spots on his back also turned red, and when his fur turned white in the winter, the red spots remained. As a Sawsbuck, he gained the ability to carry his Trainer on his back, and the pair traveled everywhere, trampling evildoers and the unjust wherever they went.
The Trainer and his Season Pokémon traveled to Johto to visit a friend who was studying the potential link between Sawsbuck and Stantler. By the time they arrived, people were starting to get warnings about the infection, but no widespread outbreaks had been confirmed. The research, however, was interrupted when one of the Stantler was found to be Infected, and the center broke out in panic. Chosen was separated from his Trainer in the fray, and watched him disappear into a sea of people desperate to flee from the bucking and biting Stantler. The Sawsbuck used the heavy foliage on his Summer antlers to fend off the other deer, and managed to escape into the Ilex Forest, where he has hidden ever since, blended in with his magnificent antlers.

-It is speculated that Chosen's courage turned his flowers red, but it may be him emulating his beloved Trainer, who was a redhead.
-His antlers are black because he has taken on the nature of an Ebony bush; Sawsbuck are what plants they eat in the minds of some.
-Has a British Accent that he may have picked up from his Trainer.
